I really dont understand how many posters can honestly believe that Cryptic is going to release this game with lots of content and a working Genesis system. Look at CoH and CO within their first year. Lots of promises for release and features end up being added in over time that were supposed to be in at launch. Im sorry, but this company has burned many others and I twice already. I sincerely hope I am wrong here for all the fans, but Cryptic has a pattern or deceit and failure to deliver.

I think UO is the best example of all. That game has such a small but dedicated community yet it still carries on. BTW OP, its been five years not four. Its 2009 now.

I am glad to see that this has been tackled, at least for now, the real issue, imo, is the game itself. People would not feel the need to purchase gold or bot for levels if the game itself did not require all the moneysinks and increasingly larger level grind. Im not advocating instant level buttons and all that, so dont be rash and make that assumption, but easing off all the moneysinks and leveling requirements would help reduce the gold farming in the game. I think they should place more emphasis on abyss points and less on kinah and mob grinding. Just my two cents.

Played all three in closed beta.

Played Aion at launch and will not be resubscribing due to gold farmers, bots, and the terrible pvp (imo).

Played FE in closed beta and just didn't care for the game, liked the setting though.

Still playing CO, enjoy the combat, but I do realize that it is going to take some time to mature into a better project.

Currently waiting for SWTOR.

contact the retailer, and always remember, if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Blizzard did have diablo 2 over battle.net to get plenty of pvp expereince issues with balancing, hacking, etc... but I do agree with your point that people do need to stop assuming that just because the company has not made an mmo, that none of the developers have. For christs sake, Ashen Temper, one of the mods, is from Shadowbane. Who knows how many developers and programmers they have from other past mmos (not to mention Mythic) on staff.

I've been chatting with these Cryptic fellows enough over the last 5 months to know that these are honest mistakes and not bad behavior.

I know people like to point fingers and place blame and rage a lot, but I'm sure that you would have a different attitude if you could see everything from their perspective. I work in software development and I have experienced many software launches. Its not as easy as it might seem from a customer's perspective.

I have one in the game at the moment who is more sith. I went with telekenesis for ego blades (made them red), lightning, and some other junk. Its not a bad toon, and pretty fun.
