Comparing WAR and WOW is just silly. They appeal to two different MMO player bases. WAR offers up a few new concepts but it really is just building on the DAoC mechanics that they (Mythic) set down before. Which is a good thing. People still play Dark Age. They will offer a decent PVE experience but really its about the RvR and PvP. Players know that going into WAR. So I dont think it will appeal to as many people it will have to fight in the market place to prove that it isnt just a PvP and RvR game to try and appeal to a player that is scared off by the idea of PvP. For shareholders numbers are everything but for gamers we just want a good game with a decent player base in which to have a great time in a good game that WE love. I think both games offer that. ;)

My wife and I are on the Bazaar server and it is always full of people chatting in level chat and there are always alot of people on in my guild. Pugs havent been a problem at all either  there are others around all the time. The community is alive and going strong. People who say it isnt dont wanna like the game or are just making it up. Fact is the game is going strong and RoK was the best selling exp yet some people left for Conan and alot of those same people came back. It is a solid mmo and a worthwhile game. I can understand if it isnt to some peoples taste but I love it and alot of others do as well.

1. You can move the camera freely or lock it behind you

2. Yes, both mouse buttons move your toon.

3. Yes you can jump and swim (swimming alot earns you skill in swimming that alows you to swim faster)

4. Offline message system? not sure what is meant by that There is a mail system if that is what you meant. =/  Auction house yes.

5. They do wear down when you die. you can usually die 10 times before your equipment is unusable. Yes it can be repaired.

6. House pets mostly. Unless your a a class that has pets. Yes you have to eat to regen health and drink to regen mana. (power) but can ignore it if you so choose.

7.  NEED no. SHOULD yes.

8. yes player owned housing...it is instanced.

9. Yes there is a bank. and guild banks.

I think it is funny that so many people hate WOW. When the news broke that Blizzard was making an mmo the gaming world sat up and took notice. They were such a well respected developer by other developers as well as critics and gamers alike. Almost every single game reviewer in the world gave WOW a near perfect score and gamers flocked to it in the millions. Now that they have the most dominant mmo in history, so many people just throw those years of respect for them away like they never earned it. The wizards of Blizzard are no jokes. The Warcraft series, the Diablo games and Starcraft are still played by more people to this day than alot of great games released within the last couple years...or hell even in the last few months. It isnt because they are  worried about elitist attitudes picking the games they make apart complaining about what they are not...they focus on making games that they like to play. If it is too carebear for the small minority, well thats ok with Blizzard. They have enough integrity banked from years and years of stellar game making to satisfy the 10 million people who play it, pay for it and love it.

There is nothing wrong with liking an mmo that is more hardcore or has a better example of PVP or has more depth...everyone knows and has known since Blizzard started making games that there were deeper gaming experiences to be had in other games in the genres that they chose to make games. They just made the game that they wanted to play in those said genres. Their games, for alot of people, expedite the fun to be had while providing charm and great visual art direction. People love to hate the thing thats on top. Regardless of what it is.

I have played the beta for awhile now on an x850xt it runs fine on medium...25-30 frames a sec...your 8600 will be just fine...happy gaming

Mythos far and away is the best. Like Diablo and Fate....great graphics great humor and fun online play...very cool game.

Closed Beta and open beta are not the same. At all. They have me as a customer. The game is amazing.

I know the specs my system exceeds the minimum the x850xt  is alot better than a 9800

Well i went there and ran the test it exceeds the minimum.......yet still it is flickering blue screen.....and unplayable....no help on official forums at all

Avery........I have a blue flickering screen on logging in to open beta screen and cant play do you know a cure for this?

I know it is a dinosaur computer but I have seen posts of worse systems running the game on low settings sos I was hoping for that...
