The ID thing is bull. They just don't want to do the programming. Also it might not even be worth their time to do it.

ID's would be fairly simple to solve. You pick two servers. Server one get's the ID's from 0 to 2 billion. Server two gets the ID's 2 billion to 4 billion. When the tables merge, there is no problem.

The real problem is conflicting housing and character names.

I would be fine losing my house. My name though I'd like to keep, which is a problem.

I said it before, but MMO's need to switch to non-unique names. The first players get the best names and the older the game gets, the hard it is to get a decent unused name. If anyone wants to contact you they have to use a contact list or look you up, just like in real life.

I assume he wants to use frames so he can keep the banner and menu on one page. He doesn't know or might not even be capable of doing includes.

People will play anything if it's free, even if it looks awful. Just look at Runescape.

LotRO took a nice chunk of AC players. Also the content updates have become increasingly weaker. The end game mechanics, land control, never made it into the game to keep people playing. Instead Turbine tried to hook people with repeated Colosseum runs, which is no substitute.

No, they just need to make everything pre-ToD free to play (excluding housing). AC will not make it another year unless they do that.

It is not officially Vista compatible, but it does work with some messing around.

Darktide is the most populated server. The rest of the servers are fairly close population-wise, except for Verdantine, which has very few players.

I think ghosts might exist, but those videos seem cheesy to me. It seems any of that could easily be staged by someone off camera or with strings. I remember Ghost Hunters on the Sci-Fi channel caught a chair moving by itself on tape. Most people seem to think that Sci-Fi set it up though to make the show interesting because they never find anything.

That's a prefectly round asteroid.

Though I'm still not convinced until I see real news source investigate. A black dot over an image of the moon is easy to fake.

How many expansions are they up to now? Is DoW really popular and I didn't know it?

I could never bring myself to buy Supreme Commander because of the horribly performing engine.

C&C3 is a good traditional RTS with resource collection and varying strategies.

WiC is like the WoW of RTS's. It's really easy to start. There are no resources to collect. The units are all the same no matter what side you pick, the animations are just different. The single player is lame in my opinion. I have it set to hardest and it's a breeze.

WiC multiplayer is fun, but I hate the ranking system. It's easy to exploit the rating system because you can pick who you want to play. So, theoretically if you have a group of people you can get them to agree to lose to you and up your stats. Also there's no 1 vs. 1 matches from what I can tell and it's really easy to get stuck on a crappy team. I joined a game that had 2 minutes left out of 10 minutes, and the team was horrible. I got a loss on my record for playing for 2 minutes. What the hell is that?

There are also certain maps that one side is much more prone to win, specifically I'm thinking of the farm map from beta. Don't pick USSR on the farm map, it's very difficult to win with USSR on that map.

And yes, I will wait a couple months to save $5 (plus another $5 with EB's card). I'm not a huge Halo fan. I never even bought 2. I know the price is not going to drop for a long time. Gears of War is still full price.

The Halo 3 "documentry" ads are awesome. I almost feel like buying the game now, but I won't. I'm too cheap. I'll wait to pick it up used. How long until Sony copies?
