The game has you speechless? |

After a few hours of play I have a level 8 Blader. Not too shabby from what I've seen, although the camera is a bit of a nuisance and the game is just screaming "grind" thus far. But I'll stick with it because it does provide some fun, and because I have nothing else to play at the moment. And I don't really understand why they're planning on charging a monthly fee for this. /shrug |

Aye. I can't say this is at the top of my list but I have interest in what the game looks to offer.

Beta is set to begin in October/November (from what I've gathered) so hopefully the Acclaim site will be revamped with information soon and *crosses fingers* they'll add some forums as well. Looking forward to playing this game at some point.

Doesn't matter much to me. This game sounds and looks like fun...but for me, I can only see this as my backup/secondary to whatever game I end up deeply involving myself with in the next few months. And to mention, second post in the forum. |

And don't forget that it's also being developed by the same company that brought us the blockbuster titles Oz World (4.9 rating on MMORPG.com as of this moment) and Thang Online (6.3 rating.) Hooray? Blockbuster...blockbuster...perhaps I meant lackluster... IMO, of course. |

Ello. My name is IdesofMarch, also known as 44IdesofMarch on the official ArchLord forums over on the Codemasters site. As a moderator and supporter of the game, I thought I'd provide everyone with important links to information and other things of the sort. So first of all, here is the official ArchLord site - View The forums can be found here - View Beta signups are currently underway (with beta guesstimated to begin around August) and the page to sign up can be found here - View A forum thread answering the most frequent questions about ArchLord - ArchLord Basic FAQ A forum thread offering a list of articles and interviews on ArchLord over the months - View -------------------- Overview of ArchLord (from the site) ArchLord - Set in the world of Chantra, this game is an epic fantasy mix, featuring lush in game graphics and a soft sensual soundtrack brilliantly scored by the London Symphony Orchestra. ArchLord brings together all the elements that make MMOs so enjoyable but with a unique hook, the chance to rule the in game world and with it receive a range of benefits. The world of Chantra is designed around the five elements, fire, spirit, earth, water and air providing all the areas with very unique and distinctive looks. As you move through the world from the dark expanses of the Orc home world through to the bright, light marble of the human world you will find yourself constantly drawn into to this lush and vivid environment.
Players are able to play as one of three unique races including Humans, Moon Elf’s and Orcs and within each race they will be able to choose from one of eight different classes depending on their chosen race. Each of these classes will have a host of unique features that players will need to master in order to become true masters of their class, this will present a challenge to both new and seasoned players alike. One of the most appealing features is it’s ability to accommodate both the hardcore PvP fan as well as those looking for more solo action in a quest based game. Players will find themselves able to take part in massive real time battles between guilds accommodating hundreds of players. Or for those that wish to engage in more solo based play they will be able to partake in an extensive range of quests to explore the world and level their skills.
There is more to ArchLord than just the above, there are many features of the game that you really must experience first hand to get a feel for the depth and quality that this game offers. ArchLord has something for everyone, but do you have what it takes to become the ArchLord? -------------------- Well, that's that for now. Hopefully if you're someone new who happened upon this thread, you'll take the time to check the game and forums out and form your own opinion of the game. And to add we hope to see you on the forums and help our community grow and become even more friendly and fun. :) Thanks, ~44Ides~ |
