I am enjoying the game and the change. Aeriagames makes the best PvP since DAOC. The potion spamming is for people with bad builds. It is pretty much a grind and I don't know why I like it since most games are a turn off for me with lack of depth but this game is entertaining and gaming is about entertainment and making friends so I just enjoy it and have fun.

Guess it would blow if you don't like PvP. One of the most fun games out right now.

This would have been one of the best RvR games out if it wasn't for the imbalance and farvortism in the game. First the lightside GSs are the most narcissistic people I have ever met in any game I have played since EQ. I see the fury GSs always helping the fury side but the lightside GSs even go to the point of telling the furies how to beat the lights...Their own team mates.

Every update is only for more IM stuff. That is all the care about. To compete in this game you have to spend far more than you would in a Pay to Play game. A lot more.

All the GSs are friends of the GM's who are friends of the developers. This makes a complete imbalance in the game and they continue to help themselves and not the community.

RvR not in this game. 1-15 is just a IM war and the 20-30 is a zerg fest. There is really no high end PvP.

I made it all the way to lvl 47UM. I loved the game. the community sucks. That is 147lvls of game play and now I am sick of all the A-holes in this game and the fact that no content has been added at all to the game only IM items. Spend more money please.

Don't play this game if you are looking for balance and PvP. This isn't it.

Well DAoC is only still around because it is one of the best PvP games out there. But you would be way behind the curve given the time it has been out. I also would like a good PvP game but not happening. WOW actually had good PvP on release but ruined it by adding BGs. They suck!!! Zerg/Capure the flag. That isn't PvP.

I am waiting to see what happens with either AOC or Darkfall. Both might live up to what I am looking for.

You could try RFOnline, but it is a grind before you get to lvl to PvP.

Well I already know a lot of people leaving the game because they made 50 and don't want to farm or gind for nothing. Just like WOW it isn't active players only total supscribers. Not very accurate data but than it won't make them look as small as they are.

Well I love this game fast paced and I can solo all I want. But I have to say this game has far more depth than WOW. I have been playing this for a few weeks and can't wait for it to come out even it bombs after 2 months. I do admit that it is a grind but not a boring grind, very fast paced and easy to learn once you get into it. The only complaint I have is the LOGOs, they can be a pain to find.

Bugs? Duh, it is beta. They have fixed a lot of the bugs so far and I am sure they will before launch. What game didn't have bugs at launch? Please let me know.

Again it has been time for me to get away from the same old MMO's. There is nothing new out there and this is, even if it is a little different. What ever happened to true RPG's?

I must admit the invasions are fun and add interest to the game. Nothing like getting up to X10 xp boost.

WOW...I was hoping there was more info on stealth in AOC.

First why wouldn't there be some kind of stealth with a rogue. That's what they do sneak around.

Secondly an assassin that can't one shot his intended target given the right preperation isn't a very good assassin.

Thirdly both DAoC and WOW had ways to detect stealth.

Now I don't think you should be invisible or be able to stealth 2 feet in front of your target. If said target looks in your direction they should see you.  Stealth needs to be done right be there needs to be a way for rogues to sneak around, move silently and such otherwise they aren't very good and doing what they do best.

No one ever complains when a mage or hunter one shots you. That is alright.

LOL...EQ came out in '98. I don't think even comparing it to WOW is an option. Plus you are comparing it to the only MMO I feel isn't an RPG game. EQ is a classic and was great when it released, nothing better. Of course it is wasting away it is time for it to die out but I bet WOW doesn't last as long as EQ.

Well I played the game and maxed out in two weeks. Than it got boring but the game set up was very good. I loved how they did rogues in the game. Not a DPS class!!! But this game needed more and still needs alot more to ever get me to go back.

Maybe I should go back to AC I loved the game when it first came out and have now just been searching for something as good or fun.

People still play this I thought it bombed after the hack on release...LOL.

Good choice EQII rocks and I wish I never quit to goto WOW and wasted all that time playing a game that has the worst community out there.

The BC expansion was the final straw for me and I quit the game. Haven't played in a long time now and I am glad I quit WOW, what a nightmare that was.

I am hoping this game is as good as it says. And yes with a skill based game there is no nerfing to be had. Everyone is what they want to be and can learn what ever they wish. Skill base games rock, Eve for one is a damn good game that is skill based. I am pretty much sick of the lvl capped games when you reach the cap there isn't anymore to do but grind, grind, grind, and they seem to be getting easier to reach the cap. I remember in EQ when it took a long time to cap out now the games only take a month for me and I am what most would call a casual player. Nothing better than a good skill based game to bring out the true RPG players. Most MMO's now I feel are not RPGs any longer, just grind fests. Even the PvP in most games now suck and are not challenging, zerg fests is not PvP.

Enough said. Even the raiding in WOW is only about killing mobs and getting loot. Everything from quests, leveling, crafting, and just trying to get somewhere require you to grind out mobs. I played WOW from release which was a good game than, they than ruined PvP by implementing the BGs. I agree they had great end game content for lvl 60. BC ruined the game completely, no end game content anymore and the PvP isn't actually PvP just capture the flag or zerg the end boss. Come on that isn't PvP. When there was big raids on the cites that was PvP and it rocked.

WOW is a game designed for the numbers not for the quality. It wasn't ground breaking what so ever, Fun to play at first but any true RPGer will get sick of no actual content in the game. To simple and easy to play.

LOTR rocks. I hated beta but that is a far superior game to WOW. The AI in the game is realistic and the quest system is superb. You feel like you are part of the story. And who said there isn't raids in LOTR's are you level 40-50 yet than how would you know. Hell in WOW you didn't get to raid until what lvl 50.

If I hear one more game compared to WOW I am going to scream. It isn't actually that good of a game, it is just fun and easy.
