i don't have an paid account for FFXI but seems to me they don't want my money lol

TRAIL says the site.. so press on it seem te redirect you to fileplanet --> loggin there --> flieplanet needs to give you  a code to entre in play online but no code is given lol only linjk for the download..

total garbage!!

Im not sure if i understand you correctly but if i do your problem as nothing to do with playonline...Your prob lie with fileplanet. So you might consider to check you fileplanet account, there  is a section where you can see all beta and trial keys you got. Next time before bashing something, just take the time to ask for help..

I use it and had not problems at all, the only things you need it the XBCD driver (unofficial built) , if i use the original microsoft drivers, the rumble dosent work. You can youse xppader too if you want to configure the pad the way you want. Here the link to XBCD drivers.

www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#v107

You can find xpadder is you google it too.

Why changed server? Just reroll to the same server you got a lvl 70. First  you can send some money and craft thing from your old toon and second if you got some pal in your friend list they will be glad to see you again.

I must admit FFXI is way too long for the patching, but well i think the game worth it.

Either one long-ish patch every two months or weekly down time which could last up to and over 6 hours on a Tuesday ... you decide.

i clealrly not see the point here. Did i talk about wow? And i dont talk about 1 patch every two month but the first patching when you install the game.

By the way i didnt bash the game i really dont know why you quote me witht this argyment.

Seriously i think you over-reacted here.. Ok POL is not the ideal log in for a game in 2009, but this is not so hard. I mean come on just take 5 min to read the manual and you will see it is quite easy to enter a cd-key. I dont like POL but i will not be turn off for it. And seriously you say you are the epitome of patience, but clearly you are not. If you was you will be already in the game now... and not here bashing a log-in system.

And if POL give you a hard time this game is clearly not for you.

I logged in and uninstalled hours ago, actually. But thanks.

Also nice grammar.

Lol typical now you bash me for my grammar lol, try to speak french and will bash you for your grammar....

And you just prove the point here patience is clearly not a virtue of yours...

I must admit FFXI is way too long for the patching, but well i think the game worth it.

This is the utter definition of laziness and "I want it now" attitude. Play Online, while a tad frustrating, offers more security than most MMO's offer. If you weren't able to take 30 minutes (exaggeration) to setup a ONE TIME account registration, then honestly, you wouldn't have the patience to play FFXI in the first place.

I just purchased a collector's edition and I only had to enter the CD key once for Play Online; FFXI streamlined all the expansion registrations into one click. Your loss, really.

Oh, please accept my sincerest apologies. I didn't realize the utter definition of laziness and "I want it now" was wanting a non-confusing and easy-to-use account system. Apparently the fact that I dislike the unnecessarily complex and sluggish interface and setup makes me lazy. Then by all means, please excuse my indolency.

(Honestly, if you knew my gaming history, you wouldn't see me as the lazy "I want it now" type. I am the epitome of patience.)

PlayOnline is so far beyond a 'tad' frustrating, it's ridiculous. I just find it incomprehensible that a company as big as Square Enix could back such a detestable program for their account system.

How are they greedy or arrogant jerks?

WoW hasn't come become shite, on the contrary. It has only become better since release.

Well this is only your opinion there.. For me this is quite the contrary, WOW continue to decline and loose more and more of my respect in each expension they release.

Anyway Torchlight is a good game and it is worth the try.

Yes, it's nice to see people get into beta so they can prescreen the game for themselves instead of trying to actually help make it better for everyone.

I would like to make it better for everyone but there is no time now THEY LAUNCH IT IN 5 DAYS.. Why you all miss the real point here? I dont say this game has no potential, i say is clearly not ready to be lauch.

When 99% of the posts made about Alganon include negative feedback, what are we supposed to expect from this game? When there is smoke, there is fire.  I wonder how do the devs react to all this massively negative feedback? Because i'm sure they read them.Unless they have a serious ace under their sleeve, this game is far from ready to be released. And since they are an indy company and dont have a publisher over their heads to mandate  release deadlines, they should release the game when its playable.  Otherwise its one more down the drain. Sad....but true.

How many of you remember when WoW was released?  It was basically unplayable.  The lag was so bad you could hardly move.  Queue times were hours.  People were complaining just like they are doing with this game.  Everyone was saying it sucked.

What happened?  It was fixed and turned out to be one of the best mmorpg's out there.

You miss the point here, yes WOW got serious server issue at first simply because wow was already a succes and the server was overload, yes it was a mistake by blizzard to not expext this BUT wow was a finish product, with bugs like any other games but still polish enough to play and it had a tons of contents to do.

Alganon has only like 1/5 of the features expected and wors they are a copy and paste from wow and that all. This game is at alpha stage and will be release in what 5 days!! I mean come one i dont want to be bad faith but this game is clearly not ready to be lauched

My tale is almost the same as you, exept instead of going kill some chickens to get a lvl, i restarted a new toon and choose another town, now the barrel quest work! Cool i can keep up, now i go to another npc to take another quest and boom lag like hell, reboot, my god big mistake too. For the rest you already know i cant logging anymore....

My big problem with Alganon is not the price but the fact that they will release the game in 1 week and this game is not half finish.

My first impression when i tried the beta ( 2 weeks ago) was this game is not bad but geez they have a lot of work to do to be good game and i was thinking maibe if they keep refining and polishing the game for at least 6 month or even a years, i might buy it. But now they will release it in 1 week..

Now all i can tell is i will not buy  a game who is not even near a finish product. Had my experience with AOC so no thank you, anyway this is clearly my opinion if people want to buy it i really dont mind.

I got one too but me they said that they suspect my account to be sold and they asked me to give all my personal information even my password and the cd key to be sure i was the owner of the account and if i didnt give them my info i will be banned.

Seriously did they fool people like this?

Ah, the point is OP isnt just bashing as it seems (by readind everydays´s bashings on this forum), the game does seem (at least in its current state) very poor (compared to the mainstream P2P games). So the only ( i belive) would atract players for this game would be the comunity factor, who IS helpfull and polite ( to this moment) .

hope i made myself clear this time =)

Yep i understand now ;)

And i agree

FallenEarth is going WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.

Its focus must be the comunity, old wow vets tired of how comunity went, cant see anything else to bring ppl here.

What?

what haven´t u understood my friends? =)

Well the only thing i understand here is FallenEarth is way better, but for the rest i dont understand any of it.

But if they don't aspire to do something unique, and they don't aspire to do the familiar better than the people who are already doing it - what are they aspiring to do, that I should be willing to buy?

Better takes time/money. WoW didn't launch with almost 12 million players,  two expansions and 5 years of content.  Who said they don't aspire to do the familiar better?

No wow didnt launch with 12 millions acounts, and it had serious server issues, but the game itself was polish and fluid. Something Alganon dosent have, at least for now. People can flame against blizzard but for what i know blizzard always polish they game before release it.

On a positive note to Alganon, the study system is kinda neat.

Yep and they have copied this from EVE.. This game is a plain joke, they just copy and paste things from other game game and voila a new game... The animation is horrible, you can take only 2 race, and 4 class like many F2P games.

This (highlighted).

It could work if they stick to that. Thinking back, Warcraft II & III, both had very interesting characters (Thrall, Arthas, etc.)

Plus, Warcraft provides a solid lore.  Hm...personally I'd like to see the story of how Thrall came to power (curse you Blizzard for canceling 'Warcraft Adventures Lord of the Clans'!)

Ah, well...we'll see. At least Uwe Boell is not involved, heh.

Just read the book Warcraft: Lord of the Clans if you want to know about thrall..
