Ever since the removal of Suwari, and the almost total lack of any new info for the past year or so, I'm firmly in the "Meh..." camp. If I get Spellborn later this year, I'll be there for a few years, and I don't play more than one MMO at a time. So unless CoS is pretty bad, HJ won't be seeing me sign up for a while, if ever. |

Is it just me, or has the number of english-speaking forum posts on the official site dramatically reduced? Being that I've not played for about a year, I'm not really sure what that means. Was there another mass exodus of players shortly after the buyout? If the state of the population is worse now than when it was when I left, it makes me not want to renew my sub (which I think about doing now and again). If, as I'm sure many will say, "Everything is fine..." then why has forum activity gone down so much there?

It wouldn't surprise me at all if EI didn't have the decency to actually announce it was closing the game down, either. |

Originally posted by Fion Yet strangely, it's Conan that's lately been getting a lot of bad vibes about immaturity, and not WAR. There's a reason for that, and it's illustrated blatantly in this article. Because one company is marketing it's product like adults, based on it's gameplay and design rather than on 'Woot! We got bewbies and blood!' and doesn't have to keep repeating 'It's mature! IT'S MATURE DAMMIT' while acting the total opposite almost every time it advertises itself. I'll let you guess which company is which.

Ah, the irony. You know, most people don't consider treating others with basic respect as a 'chore' that they need to play a game to 'escape' from. It's telling that you'd feel the need to be a troll just because someone prefers to play a game for different reasons than you. I think it has less to do with what games you like to play, and more to do with the fact that you apparently just like to get your rocks off by being a jerk online in general. |

"It's a mature game. Hyboria is a brutal world. It's savage. It's violent. It's sexy. There's no pink hearts and pretty fireballs. Heads will roll!" "We have boobs in our game!" The demo room was in the basement of the Fairmont hotel and rigged up to look like a dungeon. Booth babes were on hand to pass out grotesque shrunken heads on a string. "See? It's good to be a healer. You have a naked lady buffing you."
'Mature' ...Right. Then why does the guy sound so hilariously juvenile? Newsflash... there's a way to make something mature, graphic and sexual without acting like a horny pre-teen. The fact that Funcom can't seem to market their content except like randy little boys, makes me feel that 'adult' is the LAST word you could use to describe this game and it's devs.

The learning curve for Ryzom is steep. Took me about a week just to learn the basics on the Newbie Island, by reading all the quest dialogues and asking a lot of questions in the Help Channel. The stanza system is pretty cool though, once you get it. A lot of people don't have the patience for all that effort just to learn the basic mechanics, though. |

The drama and gross incompetance that surrrounded HZ's development was almost as good as Vanguard's, imho. =P |

I'm telling you, it's the playable dragons. They're like the sticky bits in a venus flytrap, people are just attracted to that despite the obvious facts. People will suffer crazy amounts all in the name of the dragons, believe me, I know firsthand. =P In my opinion, the game is rotting dead in the water, with 95% of the map empty and pointless with no hope for the future. Don't bother. |

Well, there's the Panzer Dragoon series (even though you're riding one technically), and I saw a game called 'I, of the Dragon' a while back where you played a dragon. I don't know if it was any good, though. |

People like to blame SOE for everything just because of SWG, and y'all need to get over it already. |

Originally posted by Sycondaman I also like the Daevi. If you don't like 'em, don't play em. It's not like bashing on the race will make it get taken out of the game, all it does is make you look like a troll, especially if you word it offensively. The only reason why you'd do that is to start an argument. |
