Like the Ranger and Warrior outfits in GW the shoulder should be part of the chest but since they are changing the way the armours work in GW2 we can't know for sure. But they definitely look attached to the chest with the leather straps. |

It wasn't exactly free, if you were a PVP character I guess it would be but if you are a PVE character you first had to be ascended, finish a particular mission that deals with killing celestials or get to sunspear sanctuary and attain a certain rank. And after that you pay 500 gold to change to each proffession after which it is then free to switch. |

EVE Online: New Expansion "Tyrannis" Announced!

@ Slashbeast It will probably need you to have standings with the sovereignty holder before you can build on a planet, in hisec losec or null. Even though i'm hoping this is not the case, I know that I'm just stretching and I'll have to work on my standings if I want to touch any planets. Because if they allow just any Tom Dick and Harry like me to touch planets, they'll be in for what is happening with wormholes right now; oversupply of resources. |

Thinking about it more, this should change the population of systems if it turns out to be profitable... And this kind of harvesting only requires infrastructure not mining lasers so while you sleep, money will be made. |
|

I wouldn't call it exploration, I would call it "harvesting". Time to play Eve. |

Bren Cryptic's patented free weekend? |

Hahaha, join the "eve radio" channel in the channels list under "Other", they do fleet ops sometimes and you have to ask to be fleeted or listen for when they say the name of their fleet so you can look it up on the fleet finder. |

Well in truth, the skill system actually makes things stay very even in many ways. For instance; I can't go past level 5 on Gallente frigates, so there's no way you can't catch up with me, If you were to get frigates level 5 as a new player and I had frigates level 5 and we were to fight, there's still a very good chance that you might win even if you are a new player. The only thing you lack in eve is the dos and don'ts, the "I've done this before so I know what to do" knowledge. Its doesn't really matter how many SPs I have, all that matters is the amount of time I've spent playing the game learning the tactics and the ins and outs of how to fit a ship. In order to enjoy eve you have to have a personal goal in the game and those are hard to come by, maybe when the next expansion is about to be released you could set one of its features as something you want to take part in. It will definitely help because what most new eve players lack is direction. |

Anyway, Star Trek space combat is like Guild Wars with your heroes only equipped with one skill that they can't activate by themselves and its also a lot more strategic. Star Trek ground combat is like Guild Wars Prophecies where you have no control over the henchmen apart from telling them where they should stand.

Ground combat is like Guildwars with just henchmen and no heroes. And I think the reason why it isn't fun is because there's no real creature activities on the planets ...but who knows... |

Ironically those are the same reasons I post on forums... |

There is a pathetic amount of content for free to play.. but that is for another thread.
Well that does it people, this game is going to DIE .....HARD!!!! /sarcasm Anyway, I was feeling your point till you said the free to play was still in there but you want your 1 month trial time.....t'was good to hear your opinion. |

The best thing you can do for yourself in eve is to give yourself a goal and stick to it. |

Considering reactivating, but have a few questions

The only thing you should be aware of is people trying to suicide gank in hisec by camping the most popular trade routes, and that means no auto-piloting until you are sure which trade routes are safe. |

I think Orphes got what you want a little wrong, you want the PvE side of Eve that allows you to do missions that require killing things, protecting things, acquiring things and couriering things right? And you want to do it with a friend? Well there's plenty of that in Eve and you will have alot of fun doing it, there's cosmos missions, epic arcs and storyline missions. There's alot of stuff you have to get your head around when it comes to doing Eve pve as it pertains to getting access to all these different types of missions but the main thing you should know is that in order to get higher lvl missions faster you have to train the social skill called connections and in order to get more money from the mission giver you have to train the skill called negotiation. |
