People of MMORG.

Yeah I know lots of games have these 'islands' now, trying the Vanguard one out atm. Also to see if my system can handle the unreal 2 engine.

But I don't think it will work in TCOS like that. It kinda depends if the 2 races have their own separate starter area or not. If you choose 1 race you might go to that city and enter the newbie area's till level 10 or so. If you want to lets say travel to the 11-15 zone you gotta subscribe. I hope I won't be wrong about this one. WoW also uses a system like this, however in WoW you can' travel to anywhere you like, but can't level past 20 and can't use the auctionhouse and trade/mail or something like that. It's been a while since I was in trial. But we all know you still able to whisper people and the goldspammers made good use of that.

But yeah lets not hope for a shiny all buffed up island.. we want to mingle between the paying customers too..

Ah trial usually means a couple of days playtime. Here you can stay as long as you want in the starter zone, try all the possible races/classes.. have a vacaction of 3 months, come back and they still are there.

Missing out on what? I don't really understand your reply.

Oh and we'll have to see how the whole roll out in NA and the UK works out for Acclaim and SIL (Spellborn International Ltd).. if the game is a great succes I hope the service of Acclaim can profit from that and more or less change their views on MMO (being it for F2P) and have paying customers put money in the company for service, maintance of servers and the rest. If they also wanna keep having F2P games it's their own right but hopefully TCOS can be seen as a seperate business model then what they are used to work with.

Since the game will be more skill based then equipement/gold based the need for gold/money and thus goldsellers will be pretty low. And sigils can be taken out and replaced in other new equipments/weapons. So I hope guilds will sort out these 'needs' for sigils themselves if they venture in PvE or PvP, and put a stop to goldsellers in general.

Not F2P game, but F2P starter zone... Buy the game, play around in the starting zone to lvl 10 or so.. wanna explore more, level up you pay a subscription fee ....end of story.

After a war it takes time to build up an army again, with siege weapons and other stuff. We've seen siege stuff in Outland.. bombing the hell out of in Honor Hold. Dropping bombs down in Halaa. Etc etc.. The new pvp zone in Northrend will be just an evolution in the things we players do on the world...

Falling in love will last a shorter time then being in love with something. I'm not sure how many of you still are in love with WAR after a while.

New things always be excited at first. You're first kiss, your first drivers license, your first great love...and so on and on. The new girl called WAR will become old, like the woman WoW already is.

Some new footage from a spanish televion station or website. I haven't seen it before yet.

“We spent years working to provide players with the most stable, epic, and polished online world we could, but it is the players that have truly brought the Age of Reckoning to life.”

Hmm Earth years or Mercury years? :)

Still it's about what I've expected they would haul in. Some people in my WoW guild also play it, but seeing WoW has become more casual they can afford playing both. I usally wait 6 to 10 months for such new mmo's, unless it's something I beta test.

Bottom line..

W: That was wonderful!
S: Bravo!
W: I loved it!
S: That was great!
W: Well, it was pretty good.
S: Well, It wasn't bad.
W: There were parts that weren't pretty good, though.
S: It could've been a lot better.
W: I didn't really like it.
S: It was pretty terrible.
W: It was bad.
S: It was awful!
S & W: Terrible! Eh, boo!

Oh report this one for sticky..

Ah nice. Hope I get an beta invite in between too...

To the editors: Perhaps update the info on the frontpage with this news?

Hmm getting ganked, corpse camped while doing dailies, normal quests.. no thanks. I keep playing on PvE.

It's just for people wanting to go. It's not like you are forced to transfer.Get over it.

Yeah that might be the case. But will the mobs keep on following you or eventually give up like in WoW for example. I remember this wasnt the case in EQ and caused the famous "TRAIN!!" shout outs.. :)

The combat does look very active and entertaining.. Altho one thing bothers me , tentonhammer used to say this also, and that is when you miss the front group and hit some patrols in the back they come after you. But what if some other party or person is about to attack that group..wont it cause friction. You know killstealing and that sorta stuff.

Can't find the video anymore that had that combat going..

About the gfx. It might look a bit outdated but still very fantasy like. Its like stepping in a dream world.

Keith has some short time memory problems?

You'd be surprised how many russians have internet and good computers and such. If blizz wouldnt see a market in there they wouldnt gone through all the effort in making a Russian version of WoW.

I recently started to play Archlord. I must say that looks really nice. Can't wait to see it in the game.

I wonder if EQ2 (RP server) is maybe something to consider with that..Can't really say what the reqs are for running it.

Only "risk" I can think of is that Blizzard needs to take a risk and create dynamic dungeons like they do in Diablo but then for WoW. Each time you enter a instance the map is changed, the mobs have changed their places. The boss is in another spot etc etc...

Playing WoW is no risk. Maybe. You risk losing a lot of friends or family if you play it too much.
