I PvP for the thrill of it. I get a kick out of knowing that my enemy is a real person.

Every time I'm in a fight, even if I can tell that my oponent is weaker than me I get a rush of adrenalin, my heart pumps in my throat and I find my hands shaking over my keyboard as I stand over my defeated foe.

I don't get that type of physical reaction on PvE, mostly it's just too mediocre, pushing buttons.
(I did get the feeling when we were raiding and my whole group wiped but me, and managed to down the boss. But that's a very rare occasion compared to PvP).

I really don't see the point for all this crying.
Play for the fun of a game. If you don't like it, don't play.

I find it amusing how people get pissed off.
The demo they showed will be available publicly sooner or later, why can't you wait a bit more? It's not like you'll play the game any faster if you whine.

Yup, it's still that way. It's basically a huge gankfest. What's making it even worse is that most freep groups play it safe too. *praying for a quick fix*

Great. I like where mmorpg.com is heading. Keep up the good work!

There is need for both, obviously.
You need the PvE for the story and to feel the epicness of quests, beating down real, huge monsters.
But you need PvP for the competition, and it's a totally different type of fun.

I really enjoy raiding and questing, since I like the lore of the game, I prefer to read every description, etc.
But when I fight against an another player, my adrenalin level just goes over the top. My hands are shaking, my heart pumps faster, I love that feeling. It's something I only get when I fight against others, not against the AI.

So with all that said, a pure PvP game is not enough for me, it would be okay for a couple of minutes, an hour of fun, but I would get bored too soon. And neither is a pure PvE, since there is no real competition besides grinding a better gear...

Congratulations for Turbine!

Sure there are things to do better in the future, but they are going the right way.
A  well deserved award in my opinion, I hope they'll keep up the good work for many years to come.

I think looting is also an important part of the etiquette. It bothers me to see players needing on everything, especially for things that they can't use.

- You should greed what you want, and need what you actually need/can use

- If there is a class item, never press on need unless it is for your class

- Just because the price is good of said item, DO NOT need it

There are probably more that should be said about looting, so feel free to add to the list.

I'm very excited about this game. I love SG and things look good so far. I'll decide once I gave it a try.
Patience, friends! :)

I agree with observer. The story is the best in the whole game, there is so much detail in everything. If you read the books, it will be very familiar.

lol @ OP

Well said. The English language is so awesome and it blows that even I, a foreigner speak it better than most. A shame on you.

I want mandalorians and stealth deffiniately.

There are vehicles (ground, water and air) and you can drive most of them as a froob. The truly really awesome ones are obviously not for froobs, but hey. Oh and they also added new vehicles lately, like the hoverboards (kinda like air-skates) that you can buy separately for your toons.
The game certainly has grind in it, but in my opinion it's not that bad.
By the way there is a new engine coming out at the end of this year. I'm waiting on that to get back.
Good luck and have fun!

You could also try Shadowbane.

I play on Solus and it's the same here. Accretians are the most populated and they win quite a lot of wars. This server is different in that the second most played race are corites judging by the number of players that show up on the wars.

True, but the real game starts at higher levels. Grinding is a necessery evil (in most MMOs).
In my opinion, do not start an MMO if you don't have the patience.

lvling up?

I think the game is good as it is. I only wish they would work on the balancing more, and do something about bots/cheaters.

There is probably a way to do that, but I assume it's quite technical. I suggest you turn off your speakers, maybe even your monitor while it updates, and read a book.

You mean to the Federation.

The graphics look really cute, I just hope they make it into an enjoyable game. As for the animals, I have to agree with the few above. I don't know why we have to kill innocent animals all the time. Come on, when did you see Goku kill tons of squirrels? This is just plain stupid.
