Anywho, I'm glad to hear others are returning, we (my guild buddy and I) left after the first month with thoughts to give it 8 months, we have returned and are at 48 as well. The game has made almost a 180 its good and getting better.

BTW, dunno if you know about this but we did some testing and AoC is only using one of your cores(if you have dual) if you want to turn on the other hold ctrl-alt-c(while in game). you can check for your self if you got dual core your task manager will tell you how much each is running when you load AoC only one core is running the game, alt tab and check your TM, get back in the game and hit 'hold crtl-alt-c' let it run for about a min so the TM can log whats what then alt tab out again and you'll see both cores running. we saw about 10-15 fps increase.

Wrong, I played the game at release and it was in need of help. I left and came back 8 months later and its had a great deal of improvement. Our opinion are just like assholes everyone's got one. You've stated yours, we get your point, move along.

I highly doubt Darkfail is pulling attention away from AoC, maybe if it was solely the people who like tossing their money in the toilet and spending countless hours waiting for shit to get fixed. Although you probably don't want to hear it, this is my opinion. A good friend and I have started playing AoC after about 8 months off and have found huge changes. Things are getting fixed, the system runs great. they set out class advocates to help give input from a user side.

After having played FFXI, LOTRO, EQII, WoW, Guild wars, Perfect world, Vanguard, CoH,... the list goes on I think I've finally found a home. If you tried AoC when it released and haven't been back since and are looking for a new game I'd recommend giving it one more shot.

I'm honestly sorry you feel this way.

We do hope this is not going to make cloudy judgement on future MMOs on your behalf.

But with that said, Don't let the doorknob/mouse pad hit ya.

I donno... could have to do with the fact that douch**gs like you run over and register for every open beta there is and then when pull the plug before paying up because you cant afford it?
And right now they have 300.000 applicants and about 200.000 of those are douch**gs like you. And they really dont see the point in hosting up another 100 grand for two extra servers for you to play for free on (witch they wont need after the 1 week of open beta..)?

My thought is, Darkfall will release and all those who paid will be the ones allowing Aventurine to return the money owed to investors, which in the end will leave Aventurine busted and the game will goes tits up.

Fallen Earth is one of the ugliest, most simplistic games I have seen previews for. Beating worms with a club to earn gasoline is what the developers are saying players can expect an average day in Fallen Earth to consist of. Are you freaking kidding me?

Also if you actually read up on all of the five games you would know that Fallen earth is getting an entire graphical overhaul.
I'm a fan of sandbox games, I want nothing more then to have DF be an awesome game, so relax and don't act all butt hurt over my comment.
'09 has the chance to be the year of the sandbox. I just hope all of them do well. Hell I would love to know what the hell happened to Crusades that game was basically Pre-CU 2.

They're not full of it. That's what Promyvion looks like. Check my photo-album (linked in a previous post in this thread); I have a couple shots taken in the same area. The only thing I use is the registry hack. I don't use Windower (I use the built-in windowed mode that SE added) and use Fraps for screenshots.
The textures are still the same highly compressed textures, the lighting and everything is the same. The only difference is that on PC you can tweak the registry to get the rendering resolution up to 2048x2048 or, conceivably, higher. It makes everything look more "crisp", nothing more.
I know on the 360 the rendering tends to be more "vivid" thanks to its improved video capabilities.

As far as fishing and what I feel is top notch programming and planning, I'd have to say FFXI. even though they had trouble with it in the past with people exploiting it, it has been fixed and everything thats involved in the actual fishing is by my terms INCREDIBLE.

You got moon phase, time of day, place where your fishing, what your using for bait,what your using for fishing rod, quests to improve your fishing rod. you can sell the fish to make a decent living, as the in game foods of choice are sushi. I no longer play ffxi but when I did fishing was a main aspect as to why and how I played.

Lotro fishing is very basic at most, nothing really to gain from it, you can sell the fish or try to but you won't get much for your time put in. there are new fishing rods, and titles but in the end you get nothing. In ffxi you can fund your character if you fish the right places and sell em. Moat carp alone can be fished in towns and can be the beginning to a very well equiped entry toon.

I think for some of us the problem wasn't bugs. As mine and a good buddy i always grouped with had a great time playing that game. then came the nerfs. I played a bear shaman so I never saw any nerfing but my friend who started as a ranger, got hugely busted, so he started a Dark templar and was doing fine for a bit the on came the nerfs.

I can't convince him to even give it a try any longer. As I said it was a great game, both grpx and concept, but I'm not gonna play a game where I have no friends, so until you can convince folks that the nerfing is being reversed, I think your gonna have a harder time getting people to see the big picture to join or resub.

IF its released, it will be a nonstop topic on this site, Undoubtedly!
I will let the lemmings go first and follow in as I fell for the AoC crap and lost lots of time and money due to that boondoggle.
