So tell me... Are you prepared to admit in writing, right now that the christian faith is not necessarily correct ? Im more than prepared (and so is dawkins Ill link the video if you like) to accept the notion that all of science may be 100% wrong. Are you ? Can you state here and now that God may not exist ? You see science doesnt have beliefs, it only has theories based on observational evidence. The truth is whatever the eveidence says it is. For "believers" the truth is whatever your told it is. There is only one truth, no other truth can be the truth. So your post is utter nonsense... and the best part is.... you probably cant even work that out. But in any case.... just answer the question and prove your a true believer or join the ranks of the worlds agnostices by acknowledging that God is not a certainty. I yawn with anticipation at your poorly constructed reposnse. |

And all this from someone who I can 100% guarantee you has never read any of the following : Origin of the Species Even I have done my theist counterparts the courtesy of reading the bible 2 and bit times, the Dead Sea Scrolls in english and the Quran. I prefer to have some idea what Im talking about when I start a debate, a position you clearly dont concern yourself with. Geebus Powder... linking a bunch of stuff you probably havnt read either, from websites written by cranks is not a construction of an argument. Your inability to argue any of the points you have made in a salient way is just embarrasing. I suggest you take a few months to educate yourself using the booklist above then return when you can provide a challenge. Right now your just highlighting the fact that Dreanor is one of the only people of faith on these boards with any claim to the ability to have a decent argument. The things you present are thrice debunked nonsense worthy only of ridicule.

AAARRGGGHHH Im surrounded by MORONS!!
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 6/28/07 6:15:50 PM
The Premier of the State I live in was on morning TV this morning talking about the recent floods in some parts. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/06/28/1964073.htm At the same time major areas of the state are still considered Drought affected by the Government. http://www.daff.gov.au/agriculture-food/drought In 1890 somthing Dorothea Mackellar wrote a poem that goes a little like this : I Love a sunburnt country The poem goes on to say other stuff. But the important thing is Dorothea wrote this poem after only a short visit to Australia after she had returned to England http://www.imagesaustralia.com/mycountry.htm The comments of our Premier Steve Bracks this morning that made me want to leap through the screen and slap him up side the head so hard that parts of his tiny brain wouldnt stop bouncing in their empty vessel for a week were : "this weather is extrodinary" and "people thought it would never rain again" Well no Steve you gibbering imbecile... this weather is EXTRA-ORDINARY its so ordinary that someone not even native to this country observed it as being the NORM after one short visit over 100 years ago. In addition to say "people" thought it would never rain again... I will interpret for him since he only speaks gibberish and it reads..."stupid people with no conception of the random non linear nature of Australias climate and no grasp on history, thought it would never rain again" I swear to $@#^&* GOD people's ability to reason and use history as a predictor of the present and future has all but evaporated in to a dark age mentaility of superstition and stupidity over the last 10 years or so... You stupid people (and you know who you are) scare me to death!! |

I actually feel a bit sorry for you Powder... Because when your brain's ability to reason finally activates, you will look back on your inability to seperate facts from beliefs with embarassment. |

Im with you... I dont read many guides and the complexity and depth of EVE continues to blow me away. I set up my main as a researcher but I havnt even started researching yet because Im building my wealth via mining, which will eventually provide the funding for my research. EVE is excellent. |

Answer to US Political System Problems
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 6/26/07 3:09:38 AM
Originally posted by DraenorThats about the size of it.... Almost none of our Federal ministers have industry experience in thier portfolios... They either studied politics and arts at University or they came from unrelated fields. Basically the treasurer and the attourny general are the only ones that you will find usually get appointed by having accounting and law degrees... the rest it is just a lottery based on how hard you suck up to the PM. |

Originally posted by Draenor strongly agree I always had a point of difference with most of my male friends growing up... they would be smitten by whatever super model was in fashion at the time and I always found it perplexing. I struggle to find anything remotely redeeming about a woman who would build a career on nothing more than the incredible luck of her physical appearance. I think women do themselves and thier sex a great diservice by having anything to do with the so called "fashion industry"..... For instance I was wtching a show about high school students and thier carreer aspirations the other day and this one girl said "I want to get into fashion journalism" and I was like..... jeebus.... cant you think of anything more vacuous.... like examining carpet fibres or taste testing tap water... FFS what a waste of a life!! |

Answer to US Political System Problems
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 6/26/07 2:40:46 AM
Originally posted by ViolentYIm pretty sure it was Douglas Adams who said "anyone who WANTS to be a politician is probably the wrong kind of person" and he also advocated in one of his novels a rotational political service idea similar to that posted above. I think politicians skills and duties are dramatically over rated in terms of thier difficulty. I mean take Australia for example, our communications minister is a former legal secratary with no industry experience and our last immigration minister was a former shoe sales person. How fuggin hard can it be when its basically qualified and experienced public servants that do all the work anyway. |

Upgrading Video Card, Technical Question
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 6/26/07 2:37:06 AM
My understanding would be no... You will see a good general improvement in performance in most ordinary 3d applications and your CPU will not be an issue in terms of holding back the card. Also your 2GB RAM will help a lot. Overall that is a rig that should play prety much anything with acceptable quality and performance. |

Originally posted by WisebutCruel Well here I was all set to make a comment like "On form alone Chavez has every reason to believe his country would be attacked" just to draw out the right wing imperialists among you. But you beat me to it in a way that actually makes my plan seem embrassingly understated. Is this what some of you REALLY think ? That you have some sort of "right" or "destiny" to go about the globe "swatting" other countries because it suits you ? Wise you are basically a dictionary defined example of why the US is so very disliked in so very many places. I sincerely hope you are the exception and not the rule or your country is in deep deep trouble. After Iraq the confidence people had in the US as a bastion of freedom, democracy and justice has been badly shaken. Attitudes like this are one of the main reasons for that loss of good will on a global scale. |
