Sorry for the ignorance, but who is pokket? Regular forum user who became famous for streaming or a staff member of the stie?

I know there are no classes, but what if someone just enjoys healing or buffing players. Does it recognize you've used skills on others that participate and base rewards off that? Or direct combat is the only thing it records to measure?

I played free trial before it went f2p and I thought it was funn but then lotro and WoW got their claws in me. This may make me try it again, ill have to see what the f2p restrictions are though.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think they might have meant the average of the score. Seeing as:

8+8+8+7+7+6+9 = 53 / 7 = 7.6 (rounded).

Not that the score based on any scale means 7.6 warrants it an aavverage game, just that it is the mathematical average of the scores given.

I am actually coming back. Lifer since 2007 and quit in 2009 when skirms and radiant gear was focus. I know there isn't much emphasis on radiant now (if at all?) but it seems skirmishes has become a huge thing which I'm disappointed in. I'll get my hunter to 75, finish the fun and the grindy deeds and see how I feel after that.

I am worried about the game though. I just don't see how much they can be making with cash shop (especially since lifers get free points monthy anyways).

I remember getting MK2 on Genesis for xmas and dying to play it all day. Thanks for the memories :)

When you hit 50 in TOR a new destination pops up on your map called Planet Azeroth where you feel like you are doing the same thing you did somewhere else.

This made me chuckle.

Im still enjoying WoW because I am a casual player, also playing Lotro, No interest in SWTOR

Achievements somehow have me hooked in Wow and in Lotro it's the questing and exploring the areas.

The Hero Engine can actually support this, quite easily.

HE claims to be capable of hosting 100k players at once.  Thus far, the claim is untested, because there isn't any hardware capable of handling that many players in this sort of environment.

I could see the difficulty if everyone was in one persistent world.  But in a world where zones are copied...

Each copy would still  be stored in the harddrive/memory on the server ( s ) somewhere. Each copy getting their own cozy peice of storgage.

I don't know anything about how games flow though but I assume some parts of what we see must be on the server somewhere.

If this is the case, it doesn't matter how much instancing there is there is still a physical limit.

Shadow Hand doesn't want any new players.  We Don't Like You.  Get lost people.

this made me chuckle

*WoTLK achievements
I love it! I just hope we can uuse it to join old raid content soon too. I have many old raid rep and WoTLK raid reps to complete :P

I like how in the original thread people started saying he had no life. It took him less than 3 days straight (chances are he had buddies help).

What if he is a student on break or just planned part of his vacation to play?

Just saying playing 3 days doesn't make you have no life.

Edit: Misspelled "play" as "pay"

Wheel of Time

Wheel of time would be awesome!! They started to make one but I think it was cancelled.

WoW regularly on weeknights.

Skyrim for a few hours on a weekend (bought it at release and only level 12 but it is fun!)

Going to bring my 65 hunter out of retirement on LOTRO and make it to 75. Apparently I accumulated more than enough Turbine points in 2 years inactivity to buy the Isengard expansion :)

Never played Oblivion but I've enjoyed Skyrim. Although I am pacing myself. I've had the game 2 or 3 weeks and I am still only level 12 lol

Edit: paciong should have been pacing

so perhaps the new expansion will be here sooner than later and give us all something else fun to extertain us for a while.

Unfortunately not, Ghostcrawler will most likely strike again with this one and put it out in a years time thus negating the fun factor. It's amazing to me that after all this time that they can still have such a large audience playing their game but still maintain the long drawn out and disappointing content despite having 5 million subs in america and 10 world wide. Why they haven't learned from the examples of Trion and Arenanet when it comes to quality and content release times is beyond me. Trion released 6? new content patches since launch included their upgrades and inprovements to classes in those patches and didn't charge and thing. And then there's Anet, the list of improvements to gameplay alone should be a manual for every mmo designer and dev required reading in college before they are sent out into the field for just how a game should be before launch.

When lotro first came out they updated quite often with new "books" which added new main story quest lines/instances/etc..

Anyways I don't mind the long wait. My play time is limited to this gives me lots of time for achieves and gearing up =)

DC Universe Online? Super heroes

Antivirus firing off scans when you try to play? maybe slowing down all your PC. Long shot, but it's happened before.......

I would say the people.

If the majority of people did not want the way the games are designed, then the majority wouldn't play them.

In the above example why would you blame the developpers for catering to the mass of it's customers. Generally speaking that's how business stay open (especially niches).

I personally enjoy not having to sit around looking for a group or rely on guildies for everything. I enjoy the games I play but I don't have time for LFG etc... etc...
