Linear Hand-Held Questing, even with voiced interactions, is simply boring. Not to mention developement for new quests will take several times longer to produce because of all the different choices available, but in the end it's essentially the same outcome with a momentary "feeling" that you're actually effecting the end game goal. Needless to say the final outcome is something less desirable.


 


Arena based PvP is pathetic, and a redesign needs to be implemented. Whenever a developer allows for BOTH Open-Zone & Arena based pvp the player's focus is split causing one to become more populated in regards to the other. Leading to one audience being completely alienated over the other. Bioware, being new to MMOs, hasn't figured this out yet :(.


 


Crafting is a joke, and is completely uninspired. Allowing your companions to craft FOR YOU doesn''t make this any easier to stomach either.


 


On-Rails space combat & travel is also a MASSIVE downer. What's the title called again? PlanetWars? OH WAIT, doesn't it have "STAR" in the title indicating that HUGE SPACE BATTLES would most likely be found inside? No? My fault then :)!


 


If you loved World of Warcraft, you'll adore this game.

I agree with you 100% I was bored right away and hated the animations and graphics/color scheme of the whole thing, felt like WOW with lasers. The story did not hold my attention!!

The so called "light sources" don't even really provide light. If you are carrying a torch, yes you see better, but the is no dynamic lighting. The guy standing beside you does not get any benefit from your torch. He just sees a bright floating ball surrounded by blackness. Campfires give you a campfire graphic with no shed light.

 

 

Not yet they don't but they will, this is just the first very early pass at a day/night system. They know they have a long way to go before it's complete..

The graphics look the same on my computer as in the video, also you can edit the games .ini file to up the AF from 2x to 8x or 16x.

It seems there is still some confusion as to whether we started shipping or not.

We did.
Countries furthest off in relation to Sweden are being shipped first of course in oder to have the product arrive more or less at the same time to most customers.

Keep in mind that customers that bought a Full Loot Bag will receive those later (approx. around late January) due to the problem with the artwork book.
As you know, you are being compensated with additional free game time for that inconvenience.

Then they locked my post on this very subject of FPV and PvP. Just as they locked many others. So they are only listening to those who basically agree with them. At least that's the way it looks.


 

I'm sure it may seem that way to you but the truth is FPV is not open to discussion because it was a design descision and they have no intention whatsoever of changing it.

In exchange the griefers that start killing as soon as logged will quickly loose skills and become an easy pray for PKKs.

Adrala here is right, while this may be the system for now the devs have stated that this is going to be up for review during beta. So changes may be coming depending on how that all turns out!

Ouch. Permanently? So you will have to train again to catch up and stand a bigger chance to win a fight, I suppose.

Pretty harsh, to be honest. Though I can imagine a certain crowd not giving a damn about statloss and going for the kill no matter what sanction. But I reckon that group will be a lot smaller than what you see in DF, for instance.


 

It's only permanent if you never raise that skill again.. You can simply start training the skill after losing some it.. it's not a big deal.... Just dont die as a PK with a murder count...

 

 

I am aware of what Henrick wants for MO, so yes it's all a mute point and I hope they never change thier minds. I understand that they may have to split the community with regional servers but that is as fas as I would like it to go. I dissagree with your idea that RP and PVE servers would be a different thing, while I agree that they require a different rule set they would both serve to split the community and that is why I would be against them both.

 

In my mind it takes all kinds of players to make up a really healthy gaming community and segregating the types of players is not something I would want to see for MO. 

Hell no dviding the community just for the sake of RP is simply not needed. I have heard all the arguments and I feel they all fall short, we have had this discussion many many times on the Mortal Online forums and none of what was said has changed my  mind.

RP players can with out a doubt play along side each and every other type of player, if we give you guys an RP server should we also give others a PVE server? Where does it end?

 

Anyways I vote keep the community together on one server....
