Yeah i know tome unlocks fun stuff, but im talking about gear that you can buy, epic gear, set items etc. Eg. Capotol set 1 need 5 "green crystals" at least it looks like crystals. There are lots of sets in there, so i dont think that have anything to do with tome unlocks. I think its more boss grinding or rvr grinding.

Yep just like they said =) lots of lots of fun, no boring stuff etc =) if you want more depth, play VG or eve =D i play 'em all =) I just love war for the action and quick gearing, if i have 30 min over to play i can progress alot in war, wich i like alot!

They should put alot more love to the pathing issue! Its a rly fuckup for malee in pve.

Just look where they put their prio's, making expressions on chars .... OMG thats going to make me re-sub ..... just a big lol! The game looks amazing i can agree on that, but thats it! I can look on nvidia promo vids or play single player games if i want awsome leet gfx =)

Great for you m8, i totally agree with you. This game is very very fun to play. Is it simple ? Yes it is. But i think it going to be pretty hard to capture a capitol city tbh. The guild system in war is the best ive ever seen, and the grouping system works very well to. The game is well designed for what it suppose to do.

For the haters, just play another game if you dont like it, there are lots of them out there.

It’s tasteless, boring and has an incredibly bad design (just look at the server caps which will strangle its own populations in two months time), but mostly it is CHEAP in execution.

 I wouldn’t even play it if it were offered free. Still a few days left on my cancelled CE tx to GOA, but I can't even log in anymore. I am too spoiled with the approach of real hi quality and polished games.

And I hope for the sake of the industry the annalists ARE right: - 250 K after three months - because that would even be too much honour.
 

so what if its cheap way to get money ? Its fun, thats all that matters when u play games! WoW made TBC in a cheap way to get more players, everyone can get imba stuff with less efford etc. TBC was made for small kids, and blizz admit it to =) There is a post somewhere here from a blizzard gamedirector, that tell us that tbc is made easy to get more ppl playing the game, more ppl = more money!

i can only speak for my self here. But i find this game really fun to play, pretty easy and tons of action so far. For that price you will have alot of fun =), if u know what the game is about, its not hardcore pve, its all about pvp/rvr encounters, and thats what you get!

I see so many haters that complains about the pve is so lame etc, almost every mmo have the same as war. Quest, grind, bosses. So i dont really see what is so bad in this game ? In the end its all about rvr, if u dont like it then this game aint for u.

Who wants to spend all day inside of a BG? Not me, I want an open battlefield not limited to an instance. Yes there are private scenerios in War, but the best battles are in the open game not instances.

There are quests galore and it doesnt take a seeing eye dog to find them, they mark an area for a quest with a red splotch on the map so you have a general idea of where you are going. NO MORE THOTTBOT, whew!

Oh and when you encounter a dwarf stuck in a barrel, you just have to laugh, "Hey, who's out there!" rofl

Daoc was very much the same way at release, you'd see this huge map, would walk for 5 minutes and notice it's not so large, you had already gone a third of the map distance.

Blizzard tried to get some outdoor pvp in EP, but hey, how good was that, a very big area, i diddnt see anyone on those spots =). Total failure, thats why only BG's and arena works, 2 ways in and out, small areas. O wouldnt say WAR areas are small tho, they are ok, for the amount of players that will be on each server.

War is a mmo action game, and action u get, tons of it. So the big content stuff, witch i like to in a mmo, when i play PvE. For pvp/rvr i play war. what Mythic told us we got. WoW on steroids =D

The world. It's just tiny and not very exciting in my opinion. Even the Order capital is a ghost town. I don't like how you have 1 zone for each race leveling 1-10 10-20 etc. 1 way in, 1 way out for example. I prefer a big open dynamic world with lots of places to see and go. I love big open spaces, green fields and blue skys.

Wow's world is proberly the best ever created in a game, and i think thats what will draw me back. Another notable mention is the world in LOTRO, that's also very good.

If you want big dynamic content, there is EVE and VG =D, maby you meet someone maby not =)

Ppl havent got time to settle things down, every one trying to figure stuff out, community is always dead at first. dont understand why OP even bring that up.

The game is amazing so far, very fun to play tbh, full action, zero killing rats in 2 month just to gain a reward etc, the game suits me perfect for my playstyle.

Death penalty, omg, if you whant hardcore pve game, well you can play  VG, EQ++,UO etc, there is alot of games for you guys. If they put in death penaltys in war, well thats a very fast way of killing the game =D, since you die all the time =D, gogo boy kill some rats ....

systeme in the world that will allow massive connection in a short period, it will crash the servers period. Queues is the planning guys =) ever heard of DDoS attacks ? and how they workds ?

The game is damn fun to play, its like wow endgame start at lvl 1 =), if you know what war is and what their goal is, then you going to love war. I will still play EVE and Vanguard for more pve complex operations.

Dont get it why ppl why ppl complain that war is easy,  yes it is very easy, and its damn fun! Total frikkin action all the way. For all you EQ, OU nerds, well EQ and OU servers are still up and running, why not play there ?

I didnt said, that there arent problems with AoC. There are, but people here trying to destroy game (and only here) and thats why they are creating useless topics, saying twisted truth or lies, making 100 same topics/week or sometimes/day and some of them didnt play game for very long time (2months+).

Imho that is not normal and that people should take a look for medical care and mmorpg.com for some forum moderators.

 

I think you have a valid point.  It does get old seeing so many negative posts about a game.  However, I do believe that AOC is a unique case and the phenomenon you're seeing is the direct result of the actions of Funcom.   

Whatever Funcom has or has not done has caused people to speak out about it.  The sheer number and intensity of that response from players I can understand being interpreted as rather neurotic. 

But if you really sit down and look at all the details of everyone's arguments, I think you'll find some big, and I mean BIG, reasons for this reaction. 

No one is trying to destroy this game.  AOC was a mess of a game to begin with.  Funcom has shown a track record of taking that mess and making it worse.  Everyone has their own tolerance levels and it looks as though Funcom has tested gamers patience to the max. 

People are not destroying AOC.  Funcom is destroying AOC just fine all by themselves. 

Totally agree, they lied so bad and then try to stop ppl telling there feelings on forums etc. The lies from them made me quit! I dont wanna pay liers!
