new release date calandar at local gamestop was updated yesterday...they have 11/22/11 as the release date...not sure how accurate that is

I remember hearing that certain abilities will be available to each class depending on how far to one side or the other of the light/dark side bar you are at. So basically if you are a sith and are far to the dark side you may have a specific ability not available if you are full light side sith and vice versa.....i cant remember exactly where I saw that but i know i did.

Finally SWG reaches the end of its slow and very painful death. This was the greatest MMO I have ever played up until SOE decided to change it. It will always be my favorite. RIP SWG!

So now you can see the lack of direction.  A horrible combat engine with a great crafting engine but having a goal of open world PvP.  I don't get it.  Exactly what are they trying to do with this game??

 They are tring to make a sandbox game that evolves as time goes on depending on what the playerbase wants. They have plenty of direction. Jordi has already stated that he does not like the combat system and they are bringing in a specialist this month to revamp it. I trust these guys from what I have seen in beta. They listen to suggestions and they do their best to make changes that we all want. Only issue is they have a small team so sometimes it may not happen as fast as we all like, but it will happen.

Made me come back to the game when I never thought I would. LOTS of new stuff to do and see and from here I think it will only get better. It seems they finally are reaching the potential that I had hoped hen I played over a year ago

I would accept perma death if the idea was like the example you gave at the end of your post. I like the idea of your next character being the next in line of your family name. It could work if the character that you make starts out with say 75% of the skills or powers that your dead character used to have, but could then somehow develop into his/her own character by having skills unlocked that were not available to the other character. These skills would only be unlocked if your previous character achieved some goal in the their life.

This would make it at least interesting and more bearable than the character  being gone alltogether.

worst "free month" in history of mmo's. Crashes, bugs, beta gameplay....this game should have never been released. I cant believe this garbage actually accounts for the  30 days we paid for. I for one will not be giving them anymore money. What a waste.

And the game i got in the mail was no more than the beta client from months ago on a cheaply produced (i mean amateur) cd. The case was aluminum with crappy screen print logo and it was bent to hell when i got it. I sent them  several e-mails about it and they never respond. Somehow I have a feeling those "useable" discs won't be coming for a long while.

The game is not fun to play whatsoever. The graphics are terrible for what was promised, the gameplay is early beta at best, and the game mechanics are not all there. I am so mad at myself for believing the hype on this game. I have been and stuck through some terrible launches and played bad games for months hoping they would get better. I do not see this game being playable for the majority anytime soon.

The only people i see playing are people who paid lots of monoey for the collectors edition so thay have a lot riding on the game, and those who like to grief or exploit. The rest of the playerbase are people who have nothing better to do. The game may be "improving" as you say, but it has a long way to ge before it gets to where it should have been at "launch"

MO should not have been released yet...PERIOD! if they actually start charging people now for service they are going to really drive away some of the faithful who are sticking with them even though the product is terrible at the moment.

The game looks liek it will be fun to play for a while. unfortunately just about every MMO lately fits into that category. They are all fun to play for a month or 3 at best then they become boring. I miss the good ol days when MMo's could keep me playing 8 hours a day for years.
