FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The following statement has been issued for immediate release by the White House and Department of National Defense (DND).

In an attempt to contain the current biological outbreak and civil unrest that has occurred, a state of emergency has been declared in the United States of America, including all overseas dependencies and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It has been confirmed by several medical agencies, including the Federal Department of Disease Control (DDC), that the bodies of the infected that have died from this outbreak have become reanimated with highly aggressive behavior. To repeat, it has been confirmed that the recently infected dead are returning to life and attacking the living. Due to this unprecedented situation, the President, following an emergency session with her Cabinet, has prepared the following set of initiatives that was sent to Congress.

As of tonight at midnight, and continuing until this crisis passes, the President has declared a state of Martial Law for the United States of America. A nationwide curfew of 7 PM is now in effect. Any citizens caught outside between the times of 7 PM and 7 AM are subject to arrest and immediate detention without legal counsel. Do not attempt to go out at night, and stay off all roadways after sunset. Do not use national highways or interstates as these are reserved for military use and are only for rapid deployment. The Armed Forces and National Guard are working with all law enforcement agencies in order to provide rescue and defensive operations. Do not seek shelter in private residences, no matter how well stocked or protected, if you live close to an emergency shelter or military base. Citizens who live close to military bases or emergency shelter safe zones being established by local law enforcement and the National Guard are urged to go there immediately. Local news stations will provide you with the locations of these shelters. There also have been confirmed reports by law enforcement agencies that infected victims are not affected by gunfire. ALL attempts to stop them with firearms have resulted in failure. Gunfire does, however, have the ability to momentarily stop or slow them down depending on the rate of fire. There currently is no known way of permanently stopping the infected. If you are able to get to a safe zone established by military and law enforcement, proceed there immediately. Retain all ownership records of private property, but do not attempt to transport or defend said property. Crimes against any persons still living, or of property, will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Looters will be prosecuted with deadly force, as will any attempts at vandalism or secessionist political activity.

Only citizens living in rural areas where long distance traveling is not recommended should seek shelter in well-stocked fallout shelters, basements, and other areas where it is possible to barricade and seal all possible entrances. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LEAVE SAFE ZONES UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Rescue teams will come to you to relocate you to these safe zones. Stay away from public areas such as retail outlets, theme parks, and / or open areas where it's not possible to secure the area. All communication facilities, including the use of land and cellular telephone facilities are to be reserved for military and rescue operations only. We will be routinely updating the public with more information as we have it.

FROM THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF DISEASE CONTROL (DDC)

The following statement has been prepared by doctors from the Federal Department of Disease Control (DDC) in relation to the biological agent:

It has been confirmed that the reanimated corpses are the deceased victims of this biological outbreak. The circulatory, respiratory and other vital systems have terminated and are no longer functioning. This particular biological agent is only spread through some form of direct fluid contact, meaning it must come in contact with a patient’s blood by infection through the eyes, ingestion through the mouth, or through an open wound on the body. Infection duration depends on the size of the wound and its proximity to a major blood vessel spreading the disease. Incubation of the agent varies between 6 - 12 hours. Reanimation will occur no later than 5 - 10 minutes after the victim’s primary life functions have expired. Once reanimation has occurred, the subject will respond with immediate and extreme homicidal aggression. The following outlines identification of infected patients during and after incubation.

SYMPTOMS:

The following timeline outlines the projected incubation time of the agent inside an infected human body (Some incubation times vary depending on the individual’s age and / or weight).

HOUR 1
Victims will not show any signs of infection within the first half hour. After approximately 30 minutes, patients will begin to report headaches, and possibly a feeling of pressure in the skull.

HOUR 2 - 5
Victims will begin to show more physical signs of the infection. Fevers (100 - 103 degrees F), dizziness, vomiting, and localized discoloration of the eyes, sinus areas, and chest will begin.

HOUR 5 - 10
Between 5 - 7 hours, the victim will begin experiencing a feeling of tightness in the chest and loss of vision. By the time 8 – 10 hours have passed, the victim will be experiencing serious discomfort in the joints. Moving will become extremely painful. Tissue discoloration will be more pronounced. All blood vessels will appear to turn a dark blue or black in contrast with the skin.

HOUR 10 - 11
By this time, the victim’s psychological state will become extremely erratic. The body’s primary organs will continue to break down, and bodily functions will slow. Muscular tissue will begin to harden, similar to a state of rigor mortis. The victim’s pupils appear clouded with a white / yellowing fluid.

HOUR 12
All primary life functions cease. The victim will appear to be deceased. Reanimation will occur within 5 - 10 minutes of physical death.

Well I highly doubt they hired bad lawyers since some of the shareholders of Farlan and NPCube are members of the richest families of Reunion Island, which BTW is one the county which counts the richest fortunes of France.  

This is the very reason why I first thought the project was given strong chances of success, since it benefited solid investors and right from the start used technologies that already served in the gaming industry for the client part. But as it turns out apparently the goal was not "only" to develop an MMORPG, but try to create added value on one of these tech which doesn't belong to NPCube, nor its investors. Remember how Vuuar himself said that "money was not a problem" for NPCube, which claimed on the other hand being a small team with talent but limited means, huh? 

So believe me, being within one's rights is one thing, but you need to watch on all sides when you have to defend yourself against that kind of people. That's why, after having hit myself to such an obstacle I finally made the choice of communicating publicly in 2005, within the limits of what I can safely tell, even though "some" might say I am harassing the community.

Intresting this means it will take a while for them to go bankrupt. But if they have these resrouces why don´t they build a larger team with professional developers? Nice information you´re sharing here Pix thanks.
