hmmm... what does the O stand for? Skyrim is not Online. its more of a Action RPG than anything else. and yes, I'd rather read about a MMO culumnist's experience with a Single player game than a re-hash of what we already know about SWTOR or any other game that's not out yet.

Furthermore, Skyrim has a lot of elements that many MMOs should look into for insipration. One of them is the crafting IT ACTUALY DOES SOMETHING USEFUL, and so is the classless levelling system, the great visual experience, fast travel, day and night actually influencing who's up and who's asleep and wether if you can sneak in a fort unseen.

Playing it, I've learned that being a magic user was a lot more challenging than in any other game and it takes a lot of time before you can actually rely ONLY on magic.

 

so yeah, if some MMO designers read what's out in the community and figure out that skyrim has it maybe the genre will evolve

 

I agree MMOs have a lot to learn from Skyrim. I think Skyrim as mmo would be similar to Darkfall tho, a lot of griefing and ganking. I would rather see it as a co-op server (up to like 6-8 players) than a mmo, where you could just play with your buddies, it would be a truly sweet desktop role-playing game.

I think SPORG is what most people have been doing while playing Skyrim.

So far, I'm really enjoying myself. And I think it's going to be one of the better mmo launches which will help keep player base going. It's polished as far as stability and how the game runs, but need more content and diversity besides the soul skill tree. But I'll be there opening day.

That's how I felt, but beta 3 steps up the fun in s big way. You should of tried beta 3.

Open PVP is where it's at! Instanced arenas can be fun with certain game elements and strategies and all. But I miss good ole' fashion pvp like WoW was when it first came out.

I agree, pretty great game and concept. And I may log back in sometime soon, just to see how things have changed since I played last. But, I don't have the time just to grind away, not that appealing to me. I just stock up on tons of gear. It's easy to join a guild to help protect you and give you tons of gear for free. Someone takes me out not big deal, I can handle gear loss, it's the @sshats that just want to annoy you to death, that's the only real problem.

Pure and simple, NO. They dropped the ball with Champions Online, which was an awesome table rpg.

No, (unless the game was just insanely fun to pve) I got to be able to battle with the people I play. It's half (if not more) the fun!

I would rather see NWN3 done in more of a style like the first NWN. But as an mmo, not to sure about that idea.

I haven't been very pleased with it, I'm having tracking issues already and it's pretty much brand new.

They better have some plann on keeping 2 million players subscribed if they have no end game.
