Hi OP. You sound like a good person with a decent heart, just dont do reviews. Thanks.

I dont know about you, but the norm right now being 15$ a month and I will end up playing 40+ hours in that same time frame.  Sounds like a good price per hour for entertainment.  I cant even get that with cable.

I remember them in UO on the final week of beta at the forge passing out gold while everyone pked eachother.  Other than that never saw them again.

In AC I would do loot runs though the dire lands, go out for an hour or two fill up the back packs and come back home to sell some of the crap for M notes or keep some of the good stuff.  Every once in awhile you could find a great item to tinker up.  I loved this aspect of the game.  There was some good static loot that you could get, but it was great to be able to go out and find your own gear which might be superior.  Fun stuff.

I hear opinions are like....  In that case yours must be big and spew yellow because thats about as good as it read.  Again thanks for the big yellow opinion.

Oook keep living in that world

EQ2 is about raiding and guilds more so than EQ1. EQ1 has a lot more content to offer smaller groups and soloers. If you are an original EQ1 fan it is highly unlikely you will like EQ2. EQ2 is nothing like EQ1, nowhere near as good.

Exactly right, man.

Too many people are misleading.  EQ 2 has forced gameplay.  You are forced to join a Guild.  You are forced to raid if you want to experience content and progress.

The new expansion (Rise of Kunark) is only going to make it more forced to guild, group, and raid.

If you want to expierence GROUP content and RAID content and progress along those lines then yes EQ2 will require you to group and raid if you wish to explore those areas.  But to play the game grouping and raiding are UNNECESSARY..  You dont have to have a group to get to 70.  You dont have to be in a guild if you dont want to.  I dont understand how somone can say that eq 2 has force gameplay when really all three gameplay styles seem to work just fine.  If your soloing dont expect the best of the best, but do expect to be able to play the game and have fun.

When you want to fly guess what, you need a plane.  In your words though, if you wanted to fly dang it Flying has a forced plane ride..

I am really surprised your having a hard time on Oasis.  I play every night and just from what I am seeing in the chat there are groups looking for players and players looking for groups in all level ranges.  In fact im finding at times some of the lower level chat has more going on in it than the 60-69 chat.

If your looking for a good guild to find groups with, I was with Immortal Valor on Oasis and they seemed to have something going on most of the time.

One of the many reasons I don't play WoW.
Check out the EQ2 forums here on this site.  Lots of positive things said there and seems like people are having quite a bit of fun playing it.

You know there is always one of these guys in threads like this...  After coming back from VG and played WoW I have come to realize for now this is as good as it gets in MMOs for now.
In reference to WSIMIKE's post I would have to say the new starting areas and the seperation of those starting areas have to be one of the bigger improvments in the game.  I really would like to see more of this.  It adds some replayability and variety.  Hell move everyone out of Freeport and Qeynos, have those races build new areas,  and make the racial areas in the Qeynos and Freeport more quest hubs for all levels.  (Racial quests would be cool).

You know, I really liked this game, a ton me and my wife were just talking about it while playing EQ2 here.  I have alot of faith that SOE will bring this back to life and do what it did with eq 2.  But if they dont come out with an expansion I think this game is doomed.  That is the only thing that will give the players some sort of faith that they are trying to do something with it unlike Matrix Online.    Well see what happens, but unless they come out with some sort of preformance improvment /bug fix/dupe fix/server merger/too much of a dmned grid fix/ PREFORMANCE IMPROVMENT, its to the tubes.  But hell it was a good game.

Why
I just came back and am really enjoying it.  I do see alot more people talking in the lower level chat channels than there was 6 months ago.
Yeah me and the wife ended up restarting after taking a break late last year and trying VG out this year (Really liked the ideas on that game).  We are really enjoying the things that are going on in EQ2.  I have really seen the general opinion improve in the past year on it.  Pretty exciting to see all the things that are going on and will go on.
Cant decide between a Warrior or a Dark Knight.  The DK sounds like a lot of fun.  Did not get a chance in beta to check it out.  Looking forward to finding out what the Inq is going to end up looking like.
