yes, they do. But that's not a bad thing. People will try to make other games as soon as they realize they can't reach the same level and this will create more diversity which is never bad.

I think EVE does permadeath nicely. Well, I guess it's technically permadeath. Might as well be.

But I can also throw out companies like CCP or even Valve and refute that. It really comes down to who you think is going to come out with a game that will stick and be successful or at least last beyond it's expected to. Pay to beta games aren't that bad. You just need to do your research first. Just keep in mind that if you support this developer that you will have to live with whatever happens.

I think this is more about making money. A lot o people won't try the game because they hear "Oh, it takes about 1-2 months, then you can PvP". They want money. Let them have their money.

They have said they are going for one giant world. I don't think this is going to look much like the first game.

An open world where pokemon roam and you have to capture them into pokeballs and level them up and get to choose their skills and extremely rare pokemon will be impossible to capture (almost).

  Guess my question is if you feel the game is so bad why are you trollin there website or concerned about it to begin with? Personally I think the game is 10000% improved from release date,.Is it WoW,eq2,lotr? nope not even close but it sure is no longer in the bad state is was in QL and Derek definetly get 2 thumbs uip form me so far in taking the slow steps to improve the game if  it had been sold to me in this state I wouldn't have complained like I did.The game isn't for everyone for sure b ut it's not horrible like it used to be imo a pretty interesting game so far and look forward to seeing what else they do.They have a trial server so not like people cannot go and look before they put down the 20 bucks.

 

      The website just went live today maybe the character creation funtion isn't quite working yet ever think of that sport? Happens to other mmog games websites also Turbines Lottery part of there website for lotro was down for weeks didn't see you posting here whining about that.

But this game is such a train wreck that it is fun to watch. Between lawsuits, insults and derek smart belittling fans, there is enough entertainment in the drama to out entertain the game 100000 times.

Although I hate to make fun of them, I have to say that this is true.

I think alganon is to the MMO media what Activision is the general Gaming media...but you know...without the Evil and a little more blundering.

Not going to change the fact that its still just a level based loot grind game with a lobotomized combat system and intense lag whenever more than 10 people fight. And the fact that its instanced out the ass and choked with a thousand invisible walls in every linear zone. 

AND there are still features from launch that haven't made it in. 

It wasn't just bugs and lack of quests that killed this game, it was the design in general.

It's wasn't a loot grind before. Loot hardly did anything. Now it does, and it's made the game better. The server lag has been fixed (that happened, like, a year ago) and the instances barely hurt the game. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's certainly a lot better. Being loot based is not always a bad thing. Now you feel like you've actually acomplished something when you get a new piece of equipment.

How long has it been since you've played this game, anyway?

Awesome how some people can't understand that in order to do what this guy did he likely had to play about 12+ hours a day for a very long period time, which does in fact translate to having no real life.

Yes he did take a long period of time, but that dosent mean he needs to play 12 hours per day.

My friend has been playing 3 hours a day at this since WOTLK launched and he's only half way there. Barely. I don't think you comprehend how hard this is and how much time it consumes. Unless he/she doesn't have a job (which means you should be saving your money and not playing an MMO anyway), it's hard to imagine this person having any time for a social life. Or maybe he/she has the easiest job in the world. But either way, I hope to god it was for the fun of it and not just to show everyone up.

Of course it's not realistic. That would be silly.

not really a zone, but an area. I think being in a cave in Mortal Online was the first time I was ever legit scared in a game that wasn't designed to do so specifically. 

But if I had to pick a ZONE, I would say...ummm...crap...the desert area starter zone in AoC...but I would say that's mostly because of me being afraid of other players in a PvP server.

As for creepiest...I don't really know...no areas really seem that creepy to me in games....probably something in WoW....because not many other games have that many creepy areas. Also, I never got that far in games like EQ1 and 2 and SWG
