Well since I'm not a PvP fan I would say none at all, but if I were to pick a system I would say consenual only since even WoW's system promotes assinine behavior. There should be consequences to this type of activity instead of the game expecting the players themselves to police the griefers.

What I mean by that is if you decide you want to go on a PK spree of low levels then be prepared to be barred from every settlement in the game, guards of all factions attacking you on sight for the game impossed bounty on your head. Not being able to sell or trade items with tradesmen in towns, you would have to go to unsavory locations to base out of where your goods bring less cash and even mundane items cost an arm and a leg.

Games these days don't place consequences on nefarious behavior and some by design seem to promote it to a greater degree. I'm not so naive as to think that games without any PvP are better than those with it, but if a company wants my subscription fees then they had better provide me a product I'm willing to pay to play, and a game that forces me to PvP won't be getting my cash.

OH! and no class should have the capability to stealth to complete invisibility at least not be able to renenter it once its broken for a sneak attack. I just find this to be the refuge of cowardly behavior. I might allow that you can use this type of ability to preform recon work or to move through an area unseen due to superior use of camoflage but it doesn't meet the common sense test to be able to skulk around in the middle of an open area and remain unseen.

You know in regard to the Cleric on Cleric fight, the fact that you weren't able to defeat each other sounds like the class was pretty well balanced in that your abilities were matched and you weren't able to declare a victor in that fight. As to the rest well, I only played Vanguard for about three months before I dumped it. I understand there has been quite a lot of changes since then, but with other game releases looming in the horizon I won't be coming back. Have fun in the game though.

Okay the guy didn't get into the game and made some good points as to why it didn't fill his needs, that doesn't mean that they are invalid. "Someuser" is entitled to his opinion but that doesn't give anyone license to try a pathetic character assassination, by calling him names or belittleing him. What does that say about the "Mature" player base of Eve? Sounds more like Barrens chat to me.

The OP didn't like Eve.... so why not make some valid argument to try and convince him and others reading this thread that Eve is worth the effort, instead of flaming him and resorting to speculation and name calling. Thats going to show others that the community isn't worth the effort anymore than the game might have been. Take the high road and don't take the path of the Flamer or Troll because to do so makes the reader less likely to give Eve a try.

I'm pretty much in the same boat in that I connect from multiple sites, but I've been doing that for a while now and havn't experienced a problem. I understand Blizzards efforts to thwart powerleveling services and such but I fall back to who really cares about what a person does with their account after all they are the ones paying to play the game. TOS/EULA aren't legally binding agreements they are more akin to mutual agreed upon standards of conduct and it seems the player is the only one that is being held to that standard. I'm applying this to all MMO/MMORPG etc... on the market.

Game play changes without regard to previous standards, content created that negates earlier content, nerf bats swung with abandon etc... and who pays the price for some changes that aren't wanted? Everything that gaming companies do is centered around getting players to keep paying to play and the integrity to remain to true to the original concepts are thrown out the window when subscription fees are down. Account sharing is something people in certain situations do that and what you've described shouldn't raise any flags at Blizzard since it would be the same IP address. I however work at multiple sites within a tri-state area staying at one hotel for three to four days then move on to another filling in where needed. I spend 90% of my time at my home location and have been playing like this for a couple of years and have never had a problem.

I'm left to wonder what you're doing that has caused Blizzard to take notice that somethign is amiss since what you origianlly described wouldn't be a problem.... Unless of course you are using a PL service of gold farming company which would raise a big flag for Blizzard since the IP address wouldn't even be from the same country, and even I don't travel that much.

Well since BC killed WoW for me I'd like to see something like this take place. I pretty much hate the end game in WoW and can't stand what people turn into when they start Raiding. I have more fun leveling up characters than I do mindlessly doing the same Instance for the 500 time trying to get a particular drop to further tweakout my 70.

Which oh by the way will become worthless when they release the next expansion, and the next one, and the next one etc...

My point is that you can continue to keep it breathing by pumping pimped ideas from up coming games, raising the level cap again and again, opening new areas which pretty much look like the old areas, etc... BC killed 1-60 progression, you can't get a Strat run to save your life on most of the servers since everyone has headed off to the Outlands, on PvP servers the medium level areas are just ganking grounds for the newly frocked 70's which the intermediate areas were previous to BC and Raiding has become the norm.

Blizzard has abandoned any content upgrades to lessen the need for grouping to make leveling more soloable in the 1-60 range since you can't readily get a group any longer in that zone. The sad fact that most of the Upper level players aren't facing the fact that their newly aquired Epics are once again going to become virtually worthless with the next expansion, and the one after that... etc... I only keep my two accounts since my kids like to play the game and aren't really concerned with leveling up. I can't let them play the game alone since the community has degraded to the point that I have to keep their chat channels disabled. Sure WoW will continue to suck people in and keep the players that think they have too much invested to leave but that day will come. You're right though when ever that day is remains to be seen, but what I see is a company using any cheap trick it can think of to postpone that date.

I just feel this is a hugely bad idea and Blizzard is using another bandaid to keep subscribers. Are we to see yearly increases to the level cap? Further changes to the skins to resemble more Anime which I personally think is plain rediculous. More new dance routines, yeah that was a great idea because I just won't play WoW unless my Tauren can break dance....

Blizzard, just go ahead and remove the level cap, and create the Monte Hall method of loot drops in that everyone gets everything and put the last nail in WoW's coffin.

Any game that attempts to force me into PvP won't be getting my subscription fees, so regardless of how good it looks if that is the way Warhammer wants to play it then I won't be playing it.

Jumpgate is interesting but with the open PvP and Newtonian Flight model it doesn't compare to EnB, it does have an appeal though. The current community is a very small and tight knit bunch a large influx of subscribers would ruin that though. I'll go back and see what the revamp does for it.

I suppose for me it would finally be the last straw if they raised the level cap again. BC has pretty much killed my game play as it is, I have zero desire to level grind to 70 and I just play WoW when my kids want to anymore ( I don't let them play the game without my being there). If Blizzard raises the level cap again they can say goodbye to the three accounts I pay for, I know I'll have some disappointed kids but they'll get over it.

Its not a class so much as its a double standard, if you play an undead then you should be subject to all the related abilities that are designed to affect them. Paladins should make undead players run screaming into the night but none of the abilities affect the undead character like they do undead NPC's. The Undead racial immunity to fear shouldn't be applied when combatting another player if this were the case but they enjoy that characteristic when fighting other players, all or nothing imo.

These type of threads aren't very productive if you like the game its worth it if not then go play something else, simple.

Male toons, female toons... whats it matter, its a toon. You want to find women to date do it the old fashoned way and go find one in RL the last thing I'm looking for in a game is a dating service.

You know you can put all of that on the review feature as there isn't a size limitation. I can just see this becoming another flame fest of he said she said...

You definitely have a valid point there bud, if CCP would just toe the line on what is acceptable for employee behavior that the rest of the industry seems to do then they wouldn't have had a problem to begin with.

I do support CCP's employees playing the game but they need to do so with characters like any other players, no Dev/GM abilities, no positions of leadership, completely annonymous, no insider game knowledge of mechanics unless it is released to all players etc... Well I can see that I'm not as confident that CCP employees could pull all of that off as I originally felt but it could happen.

I have to side with the OP here so long as favorable threads can be created to play down the whole set of circumstances, then threads which bring it back to the forefront are euqally as valid. Perhaps we should all start reporting each others threads for some arbitrary reason from now on when the topic isn't to our liking.

You don't like Damian7's opinion on the entire unfair manner in which CCP handles itself fine then be grown up enough to have a civil arguement about it instead of running off to your parents(Forum Moderators) to try and get the thread locked or deleted.

Its well within the grasp of game developers to make the sale of ingame currency or items impossible but they continue to create the conditions for it to happen. I personally would like to see this finally be laid to rest as an issue but I'm afraid that just isn't going to happen.

Just don't allow direct player to player trades to occur, everything has to go through an auction system or other similar process where the prices can be capped or at least monitored. I'm all for some type of system that puts an end to the comercialization of virtual items but unless the gaming companies code the games appropriately there will be this type of activity. I just don't see these lawsuits as the easiest means to curtail the currency sellers in todays games.

Viral at its finest, why don't you post a picture of the CCP staff providing humanitarian aid to Darfur refugees and try to further pull the wool over everyones eyes. The cons out weigh the pros in the CCP trustworthiness scale, CCP needs to demonstrate some real reforms to regain their image in the eyes of the player base which they still haven't done. Fail at that and someone will always be starting these threads, not only here but on other boards as well so long as CCP continues to use fascist tactics on their own boards.

The Goons tactics while excessive got some results, not enough but at least a step in the right direction. There remians a huge gulf between what CCP provided and what is still needed though. Until Eve is a level playing field where CCP's staff applies the rules evenly and without bias and disassoicates themselves from the player organizations, the impression of favortism will remain and the player base will know it.

Sure some players will stick their heads in the sand and stand behind EVE regardless of the circumstances, some will never believe them again and stand proudly wearing that oft mentioned Tinfoil hats. The clear eyed self thinkers will want to see for themselves that CCP does the right thing and follows the standard in the industry in regard to staff interaction with the players and the other areas in which unfair pratices have been reported or can be abused. I for one don't stand behind EVE at the moment, but that doesn't mean that I can't change my mind, EVE can have that untarnished image if CCP does the right thing.

You know its really pretty pathetic to attack someone based on their spelling, and at the same time kind of prejudiced as well. English isn't everyone in the worlds first language, and its pretty arrogant to apply that standard. Provide a rebuttal based on the content of a persons post and try and leave the spelling police out of it.
