The only difference between the original release and the expansion, is the offline story mode. So there really is no need to get the original disc if you are going to be playing online.

A lizard man skink priest of Sotek with the ability to summon and control various types of snakes would be the perfect type for a caster/healer/pet class, and would fit with the traditional Skaven/Lizard Man pairing. Ofcourse I want my skaven Clan Moulder Pack Master with a rat ogre pet.

Lizard men would also counterwight the greenskins by being 2 races in one army (skinks and saurus), and in being asexual.

But it does have orcs, elves and magic, which makes me question what exactlly where you playing. The word at the official site claim that atleast one company has shown interest at making the game, as to why it has not come to fruition has not been said. Maybe they are waiting for the Bruckheimer(sp?) movie to peak the interest into the license.

The only demo available at the moment can only be downloaded through xbox live, aside from showing how the game was when it started, its also a great example of why this game needs a monthly fee. If you feel like giving it a try on the xbox demo, I'll be glad to give you a guided tour, just drop me a line.

In my opinion, $10.00 USD a month is not too much a fee to keep the most unsavory elements out of the game's servers (see xbox demo servers). How would you suggest for Sega to make money of this game if they were not to charge a monthly subscription?

The demo is only good for getting rare room decorations and/or weapons during the endorsed demo weekends

I'd recommend coming back and trying it out if you are considering returning.

I agrre, it's a good time to try the game again, the only down side, is you are going to need the expansion to participate.

P.S. Xbox server have universes 1-4 full at peak times on weekends and universe 1-2 full during the weekdays.

2: how is it Online? you meet massive people in town right? how many people is max in town? when you go into action.... it is instant right? your own game right? for only you and your party right?

3: it is real-time combat hackNslash right? like dynasty warriors right? where we press a button on our gamepad and it will attack?

1: No PvP as of yet, nor anything that points toward its implementation; the closest they'e gotten so far in the Japanse server is player-vs-player flying skateboard racing as seen on the opening credits.

2: The population is divided into servers where you can fit up to 1,000 people per server, from there you get to the different town lobbies, where people tend to be scattered around, unless you go to the popular missions lobbys. In the mission counters you can start your own mission or join another's, each mission can be kept open to give or locked down to either grant or restrict access

3: Yes there is real time combat, but not blocking, you can either use your regular atttacks or use a special skill you buy for each weapon type.

Any more questions I'll be happy to answer.

Now for the samless plug, the Maximum Attack G event is going on from now till most of may, this is a very good time to start up for some quick leveling in the platform of your chois.

The game's subscription is 9.99 a month, the price is the same on all 3 platforms, and you don't need a paid gold subscription to Xbox Live.

In the Xbox, the expansion is download only and it costs 1600 MS points which is $ 20.00 dollars, whereas for PC/PS2 it is a boxed set and goes for $40.00 but you don't need the original PSU disc. And lastly on xbox 360 you can download a free trail of the online version from the market place.

Try the e-mail in their contact page http://www.mythicentertainment.com/contact/index.html, also I would suggest reporting them to ebay too, they have been known to take down auctions where no material goods are exchanged, like in game items and gold.

I can't really see a way that a fanatic would be allowed as a playable class, as first the Night Goblins are NPC only for now, and second, how would they work? you activate the ball and chain, the character goes of in a totally random direction smashing friend and foe alike, until he either gets killed or kills himself, in the mean time you can go for a beer or a snack. Talk about fire and forget.

And you want to a Shadowblade class? why would they allow a Special Character to played as a class? You might as well ask to play Archaon or Karl Franz.

Mayhaps the upcoming plastic flesh hounds may help alliviate the cost a bit

If the game got an M rating with no gore, wouldn't adding it in only push it into and AO rating, and seriously reduce the chances of the game making it into the mainstream?

1. Has the expansion been worth and the game grown a lot since early release. I quit a little after moatoob came out, not because i didnt enjoy it mostly cause of school work.

In my opinion the expansion has defenetly been a worthy addition to the game, you won't see any radical changes to the game play, but most of the fixes and added content is quite enjoyable.

2. I have a character i wanna continue on my PC account but i hear hacking is pretty bad, are these claims true? Should i play on 360. Are the 360 servers a lot smaller then the pc/ps2 servers because i'm a fan of bigger more populated servers then smaller ones.

There hadn't been any hacking in the PC servers like last year's, and Sega did refund the hacked players, and banned the offenders, also any new glitches are being dealt as time and resources permit.

As for the serever  choice, its really up to you, as both servers have steadly increased in population, but the 360 side has a lot more players at all times; sadly this increased population comes with an increased number of bad apples whose only joy is to ruin some one elses experience.

Originally they did state, that there weren't gonna be any game time cards, this was before EA came along with the tub load of resources

From the FAQ grab bag #5

Q: Will there be game cards?

A: Handy little things, those, and a VERY popular question. I shall quote myself from a recent Camelot Grab Bag:

Those little plastic cards, preloaded with several months of subscription time, are pretty neat. But any question that begins with "Why doesn't Company X do Y" can be answered with "Money."

Other MMO companies that use the game cards will admit that 2-3% of their players use them, and that it comes out to a loss for their company. Retailers sell them on the same terms that they sell software boxes - meaning half of what you pay is going to the retailer. So, a month's play time on one of those cards costs you twelve dollars or more, but the game company only gets half.

2-3% of our customers use Pay By Cash (http://support.darkageofcamelot.com/kb/article.php?id=455), and less the processing fee, the subscription money comes to us.

(There are various "pre-loaded" credit cards out there, that act as a debit card on a total dollar amount that you pay up front. Some of these, MC and Visa, work pretty well. One provider is located here: https://www.greendotonline.com/contents/login.aspx. The American Express preloaded cards almost never work, be warned.)

With all that said, we'd like to offer the game cards, and we have business guys constantly trying to negotiate an arrangement on this topic.

and again from the FAQ grab Bag #14

Q: Will there be Pre-Paid Game Cards available for Warhammer Online?

A: We are actively looking into this as a payment option for WAR and hope to have them available at launch.

Sword Master is the High Elf tank. And considering the new push by GW for White Lion popularity (i.e.White Lion/ Charce chariot), the rumor seems to hold some valdity.
