I'll take that as one more sign that Open Beta is just around the corner. |

There is no PvP on the game. I think there's a trial period/first month free when you subscribe at Play Sega, also the Xbox 360 version has a demo download in the market place, but you need a Gold account in order to play it. |

They never promised different server types aside from RP, they where only being discussed, looks that they finally decided against them. You can read the interview at the Warhammer Alliance site |

How does this sound? "Boiled down to the essentials, it is a tradeskill and “collections” game. Do something often enough and your skill goes up. Then collect enough of these materials to make neat stuff. Like a better weapon or better looking weapon or a styling Red jacket, Blue suede shoes and the like. You also collect pets, grow vegetables on a farm, improve your farm, build a house, decorate your house – and it can be addictively compelling." This is a line form the Beta preview of Hello Kitty Online published on this site. From the sound of it, it fits all your requirements, as you never said anything about subject mater. |

Codes do have a limited time to be applied, from what I remember, the open beta code has to be entered before october 30th, not usre on that one, and both the head start and bonus item codes have to be entered before december 31st. To enter the head start and bonus items codes you have to have a paid subscription to the game. If I got any of the dates wrong, feel free to correct me. |

I came for the IP and stayed for the RVR. When I first started following this game I had no idea of what RVR was, the more I read about the game, the more hooked I got. |

I would like to hope for Chaos Dwarfs, maybe if they where added to this game GW would get into finally updating them and give us a proper army book. Plus they would make a grezat counter weight to the Ogre Kingdoms. But alas is not likely to ever be. |

Apparently, from the wording in the article, EA Russia is going to be in charge of the servers for their region, so it may actually be a better option for eastern Europe. I don't really know much about what kind of communication problems they might run into in that region, so take my comments with a tub load of salt |

Another piece of news thats seems to be flying under people's radar is the dedicated Russian Server Announcement, from the wording used it seems Russian players won't have to deal with GOA to get their WAR kicks. |

It's the part where it says "EA Mythic, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced that Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning™ (WAR) will be released in Russia for the PC and will be fully localized." and this other bit "We are very excited to bring Warhammer Online to Russian consumers, fully supported in the Russian language," said Tony Watkins, EA Russia Country Manager. "EA Russia has put together a highly experienced team for launch and consumers can expect an enormous level of support." That makes me think Russian players won't have to deal with GOA. Any way its good news all around. |

It appears, form the wording, that the Russian server won't fall under the dreaded GOA umbrella, any word on this, or if they would be able to join the player's on the US/AU or general EU servers? |

I can't seem to get excited about the 40K MMO, as we all know that Space Marines will outnumber every other race by more than a wide margin. In this is a case I would have preferred if they had gone with the style of the PnP game and its announced expansions. |

Yes, that's what it looks like, get a shield and gimp you abilites, that will surely help the group I'll rather have a guy that can pull his weight around, than a guy whose whole claim to fame, is that he dies after everyone else, while at the same time failing to kill any of the other guys. |

It has been stated numerous times (just not in this article), that you will be able to create 10 character per server, with the limitation of having all characters in the same server to belong to the same faction. |
