GW2 will not be very sucessful. I was in the beta and the game is pure crap and I was hoping it would be great as I loved the Guild Wars series of games.

Well if you had even visited the front page of SW:TOR's website you would see a video of upcoming features to include a resizeable and moveable UI.. guild banks and a few other features they are working on adding (all due to the demand of the player base).

A developer also said space was being reworked to make it free flight instead of the hand holding rail system (which sucks in my opinion as SWG:JTL was the best ever). Guild Capital ships (hint of capital ship combat was also hinted at). There is a lot they can do with the game but instead people like you just like to complain instead of grow with the game.

I just had to highlist that part of your post because evidentally you have no clue what you're talking about. This is Star Wars: The OLD Republic. It is set a couple thousand years before the most noteable characters even existed.

SW:TOR is a great game and I disagree with everything Suzie said.

I am not signing up to tween twit just to win this.  It isn't expensive to buy anyways.

not even bothering with this game till they offer a way to download the client from a site with some speed to it. I have a 20Mbps cable connection and the most I was getting from them was 140kbps.

Video is to small and resolution sucks.. Can't read it to do it. Sorry but until they offer a way to increase the screen size and offer a better resolution it isn't worth the eye strain.

You do not get "hacked" unless you downloaded something you shouldnt have. Someone does not steal your info without infecting you a type or spyware or virus.

Im going to take a wild guess you downloaded a bot, and then lost your account ? humm keylogged maybe.

They cant secure your computer for you.

There are 1000 different ways you could have had your account stolen, but in the end, its your fault for not protecting yourself.

 

Exactly and well said. I cannot express enough to my friends that trying to get an advantage by downloading a bot or other third party software to get ahead in the game is a bad idea.

Problem with the OP is that he had to have done something on his end to get hacked. I have been playing MMO's since UO and have several active right now (LotRO, Aion, Eve and UO) and I have never been hacked once because I do not download third party software or visit supicious sites that claim to have an undetectable bot blah blah blah.

I don't believe I jumped the gun as you put it. If that was true then why did he not say "Judging by the released videos of STO I have seen posted have lead me to believe that". Do you see where I am coming from?

Face it, there are tons of people that cannot follow a simple rule and will break an NDA at the drop of a hat knowing full well that a game company will rarely go after them since the cost would be prohibitive and not worth their time.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the videos you can find on the net that demonstrate the combat, because he then went on to say he did sign up for beta and will test it anyways.

Question. Are they going to be using RMT for STO like they did in CO?

I hope to god they do not have RMT in STO or I will cancel my preorder.

Actually, THEY DID.

Daeke from the Champions Online forums originally stated that everyone who had a six month or lifetime sub for Champions Online would get into STO FIRST, before other players were invited to the closed beta. He then retracted that statement, saying that he was incorrect and should not have said it.

I was still right, an uninformed employee spoke out before he knew anything. Still the fact remains that you will all get in the closed beta. I don't see the problem.

Cryptic never once stated that CO lifetimers and 6 month purchases would get in first. Cryptic in fact stated that they would be guaranteed a spot in the closed beta and they will get that. Get your facts straight.

I was one of the ones selected to get a prize pack but seeing as I never planned on playing this crap game ( I just entered for the chance at a IPOD) I never confirmed it. I hope they select someone else.
