I quit playing not long after BC was announced since it was basically just more of the same and i really hated having to raid.

bah I thought this thread was going to be about the 40K mmo :(

Ill probably fool around in T1 a bit now that that is free and I liked t1 a lot but until they make a drastic overhaul of t4/cities I wont be re-subbing.

People used to say nobody would ever release a game that will be more successful than Everquest... =and yet it happened.

In time something else will take the top spot.

Define Irony. A bunch of people who want to test software in a limited QA capacity who don't understand how to use their own computer.

Yeah, because all us IT guys know what an obvious trouble shooting step it is to leave the phone number field in an on-line form blank and then come back and edit it in after you're all done.
/sarcasm off

QFT! Besides it is not like you can check the forums over there now if you are having problems (Since the boards are down).

I was surprised they elected to use a java browser app instead of just accepting uploads of a dxdiag file

A level based game :(
Shame, I was hoping for a skill based game that this genre deserves....

Agreed, a level based space game seems wrong.

it is twitch based (will have full joystick control)
as you level up you get bigger badder ships to pilot

The only mech based MMO i would play would be Mechwarrior/Battletech

Id go if Raph Koster was working on it. MAYBE.

neither

This game should have been a slam dunk for me

but it seems Warhammer + MMO != win

I started having misgivings when they announced they were using the gamebryo engine.. After p;laying from beta til about a month ago It became pretty clear that things were just not going to get better quick enough, so I canceled my sub. Out of a guild of 70 I think we only have about 5 or 6 people still playing the game...

I just hope this game doesn't poison people against the 40K mmo....

hahahah /this

Now a Mechwarrior MMO Now that would be sweet

Warhammer 40k
Copernicus

I liked my house in UO because I had all of the crafting tools I needed (and lots of extra storage to boot)

If you didnt have a house you ended up having to go back and forth from the bank to the crafting tool a lot and eventually your bank box would fill up and then you were boned

UO Shardrun flashback in 3...2...1....

If you guys really want to get their attention you should all cancel your subs for a day and leave exit feedback...

I like PVP but it can (and does) get just as boring as PVE (especially zerg based pvp)

I played for 5 mins before uninstalling.

I think I lasted around an hour...

This is without a doubt the worst game i have ever tried.

wows hunter pets are fail vs UO tamer pets :( Iwashoping they would be better but IMO what wow offered was several steps behind what UO offered.

Im hoping SWTOR has a driod controller class or a pet control class. The npc/buddy system in TOR sounds really good

op you should try UO. Much of how SWGs pet systems were based off of UOs and with runic hammers and sewing kits you can make super high end items...

One really cool pet system was the pack bonus for several different pet types (Hellhounds, Imps, frenzied ostards) tho healing with packs is a super pita unless you take the time to makea lot of special macros

You know back in the day I could solo just about everything in UO (With my tamer/bard) but if i had my melee toon then I would bring a buddy or 2 for the nasties. Good Times, Good Times....

You can solo your way to max level in most games these days but unless you group you will miss out on a lot of content... Some People are fine with that. Being solo friendly means you can log in for shorter periods of time and still do something.

I used too a couple of years ago but I now lack the patience. Getting 25-40 people through a raid is an act of futility. You always have 3-4 people afk without telling the raid leader - attending kids/babies, gone for a smoke or top up the Jack Danials - 2-4 other are constantly dueling and not paying attention and 3-4 more either can't follow simple instructions or don't know how to play there class. You always get people who turn up late which means the raid start late resulting in people who need to finsih by a certain time leave early. People never brings consumables (pootions/elixirs/buff food), rangers/hunters forget arrows or bullets or they have there pet on aggressive and agro the whole dungeon.
So, why don't you raid anymore?

I really just want to quote you and leave, but you forgot to add that it is boring as hell.

A-freaking-men

Tho if you have strict raiding rules and make people stick to them then it is simply just boring... :P

Plus Raid encounters have a habit of bugging out (Have had this happen too frequently in every mmo I have ever played)
