The best example I have heard of WOW is its the fast food of MMO's, its easily accessible, content is mediocre but satisfying, wide range of menu options and lots of combo meals.

Some people prefer fine dining while others prefer a quick satisfying romp.  It depends on the individual taste but ultimately more people choose fast food because of its ease and accessibility.  The people who prefer fine foods detest fast food with all their heart and soul...  yet many of them have been caught sneaking a bite every now and then.  It appeals to our natural inclination to find the path of least resistance to joy and pleasure.  We are lazy as a people and WoW is our fast food.

Don't mind the trolls trying to get their post counts up.  I agree as a F2P this game definitely set the bar much higher for other F2P.

It is not some grind fest but it is a quest fest of collect this kill this quests.  But this game does have some great ideas and unique features that you would expect only to see in P2P games and the dev's eye for details in their engine and design is very well done.

It's not just another pretty face with no depth. (which is usually what you get with asian MMO's.)  So it is worth at least the time to download and try it out.  You risk nothing but your time playing it.

Some things are not for everyone and to each thier own.  But as much as it is human nature to counter someone opinion with your own it is natural to want to share good things with others as well.  If anything it is the better part of human nature.

It has the elements that you love about Jrpg's but with an MMO twist.  Kind of fun and the quest system is kind of nice where you get quests randomly dropped to you by owl messengers.

Graphics are super dated wished they could have put more time into that.  After a while you feel like your playing an old 8 bit JRPG trying to do 3D graphics.

So far that my only complaint.

I think the problem is they see the graphics and think korean but the game is developed by NCSOFT not some korean to english port.  From my perspective if they can pull off everything they are aiming for then I think it can become a contender.
