Thats fine, they rated it what it deserves, and I agree with that. But if you look at the MO forums here, how many of those started numerous negative threads over and over again? How many of those have 500+ posts saying negative things about 1 game? Does their "Crusade to make Indie developers responsible" cover all the other indie games on this site or just MO? |

Understandable, although most people who dislike a game, post a few comments about it and then move on. Not the ~600 and ~1000 negative posts that are seen here by the 3 people who continue on a daily basis. |

Originally posted by HanoverZ Why do you keep saying this? Most people who know your post history know you only take part in this forum to flame the game, why even waste the time downloading it? Downloading 4+gigs for flame ammunition? |

Reminder: We need to test the new patching system as well as the client itself. If you are not having problems downloading and installing the patches through the patcher, DO NOT use this. This is for those who are having trouble getting through the patching process. Please report any problems if you needed to use this. |

There is an easy fix to the crafting issue and beta experienced guilds having better items. SV already did this, at least for weapons the materials are displayed (not for bows last I played) so even though you don't know the amount, you have a start for backwards engineering. As for the person who needed weeks to get pig iron, you went about it the wrong way, killing 3-4 orcs would of netted 500 pig iron easily. |

It looks like the more random people you invite into your tribe, the larger your claimed area. In the "Prelude" your claimed tribal area is pretty much a safe zone. All the random invite guilds will be hording all the resources until the Prelude is over and there is nothing anyone else can do about it.

But you can dig ditches in Xsyon, your Shadowbane comparison is fail! |

Don't even have eye candy to look at while wandering around looking for something to do. |

I preordered as well, but I can't see myself logging in for any length of time just to terraform. Did they add anything else into the game recently? |

Wait, we can get our money back from this steaming pile... |

Finally an indie MMO that keeps the customers updated on whats going on with their game... Gotta love the daily updates...

A pretty good site that compares laptop GPUs and even tells what they compare to. |

They probably used Ultramarines because they are the base/standard for the Codex Astartes. |

Wait - I gotta buy the game to trial the Open Beta?
General Discussion « Mortal Online 1/29/10 9:29:49 PM
No, you don't need to buy the game for Open Beta, just set up an account. You do that buy doing the first step only of the buying process, which does not include any CC info or anything like that. |

Is this the MECHWARRIOR game so many of us have been waiting for someone to make?

These robots look more like the old Starseige ones more than the FASA Battletech ones. |

You also forgot to mention in GA, that you also choose the grade of the weapon in each slot (1-4) which adds more possibilities, Melee weapon, basic gun (1-3) choices, speciality weapon (some classes have 7-8), 3 off hand items. Coupled with the skill trees that modify damage, power usage, range and effect of gear adds a ton of variables. Also, 20 upgrade slots to further enhance your toon's stats (through crafting or buying on auction house). On the cosmetic side, different armor sets and helms, all of which can be customized with dyes. |

Of course they do. What else is new? Just seems to me that in doing so you increase the potential for those to purchase your product and the publicity that comes when these things kick off. You see plenty of companies offering keys for free that also offer them through preorders and the such. Like I said before, doesn't bother me that there aren't any, but I think it hurts themselves. Minimally, of course, I'm not trying to suggest they're doomed because they aren't doing so.
I highly doubt we will see the return of lengthy free open betas when money can be made from charging for beta access. I just wish more companies would allow the system where you get beta access for $5 deposit on a pre order, that way if you do not like it, your only out $5 not $50. |
