At worst it's about the same as it ever has been. On my server it has definitely taken a nose dive. There is alot more fighting/dueling than I have ever seen on here but the general attitude and mindset being portrayed out in the general populace is of a much younger crowd. |

99% of the posters on this board arent playing the game, so id say this is the wrong place to ask but as far as FACTS go. There are more quests now then ever, the community is more mature now then ever and the combat actually requires some skill and interaction nowadays. Go download the trial and try it out buddy, im positive youll like it. Best bet is to try the trial and judge for yourself. There are alot of angry and bitter players here as well as hardcore fans that would tell you it was the greatest thing on earth since slice bread. The only thing I will disagree on wholeheartedly is the community is DEFINITELY NOT more mature than it ever was. SWG was redesigned to the current NGE to bring in a younger age group and that is what the most certainly got. |

I would like to see them include the goggles, BARC and other items in as vet rewards.

I think developers in MMO's, as a whole, spend way, way, way too much time trying to "balance" the professions in their games. The need for grouping and social interaction diminishes if every professions is exactly like the other in skill/damage output/healing/etc. Never really made sense to me. Why should every profession have the ability to take on the other? Give each profession a unique set of abilities that cannot be performed by other professions and a set of skill point/skill tree whatever to let the player fine tune their character to what they want. I should have to rely on other players in other professions to help me with missions/quests/tasks. If I am injured, I should need a medic/doc to heal me, if I need a damage dealer I should look for a commando, etc. Medics should have their asses handed to them if they go toe to toe with a Commando. Commando should lose to a Jedi if they want to fight melee. No one shoulld be able to self heal, give that to the medics. Give each profession a set of strengths but also a set of weaknesses to boot and have the folks form teams/groups guilds around that. I remember in the beginning of SWG when hunting groups were forming, folks would look for specific profession to join in: - Medic's/Doc's for healing during and after the battle The professions of Carbineer, Pistoleer, Rifelman, brawler, pikeman, Swordsman, BioEngineer should have been set as skill tree's you could specialze your character in, not full out professions. Maybe this is what they are trying to do now wiith the NGE....but I don't think a drastic change like the NGE was necessary to do it though. |

Sorry LilT, he is yours from now on. I forgot to follow my own advice with folks like him. |

So do I. Then it would've been somewhat relevant. I disagree....its still very relevant that the MMO community outside of SWG can still look at it today and comment how big of a mess up it is/was. This shows they (SOE) have made zero progress to accomplish any of their goals for the revamp and yet still continue to plow along like a lemming to a cliff. |

I find it funny that this thread got locked, but others in the Game Play Discussion advertising off site websites and Pod casts that star SWG Senators which inflame the community is still thriving with 5 pages and counting.....even though there is no discussion of gameplay on it at all. Fair and Balanced I tell ya! |

Honestly, they just need to get rid of the Senator program all together.
