If you liked Diablo, youll enjoy this game.  Tons of new stuff is being added every patch and PvP will be implemented within the next month. Its FREE to try.... You dont get epic items but you get to try it out. And the monthly fee is only 4.99$..... Thats CHEAP..... Trust me, try it out and ignore these negative posts.

I played this a while back and boy has it changed! Theres no longer classes and the game really allows you to build a character rather than be on a set path. Theres also a ton more additions that make it that much better, read the past 2 patch notes, the game is getting better and better and next patch even better. Check it out, free to play but even the P2P option is 5$ a month... Thats cheap... My suggestion, subscribe for 1 month and try it out, if you dont like it, stop. I was a huge Diablo II fan and this brings back memories. Mix between Diablo and Gauntlet

Anyone thinking of making a new character, exodar server feels like a new server. Lots of low levels and a nice small high end community. AH prices arent that bad and BG ques are great. Come join the action!

I enjoyed my time with LOTR, in fact I reccomend it to MMO'ers who love questing to level instead of grinding and love a story driven game with a strong community. I can't reccomend this game for people who enjoyed WoW's raiding and PvP.... LOTR has raiding and 1 PvP zone but it doesn't come close to what WoW offered. This isn't a flame post, just expressign my opinions. LOTR was fun, but Im looking for more of a raiding game. Dungeon based game to get items... To get the feeling of a Diablo II again.. WoW gives me that feeling. LOTR itemization is poor right now. You find a "Fiery Long Sword of the Giraffe" and its like +2 strength and thats it. I know its early and maybe things will change, thats why I might be back. Enjoy

Will Sword of the New World be version 2.0 or the older version?

Also, what the heck is the difference if they are the same version?

Currently playing World of Warcraft. Stopped LOTR for a few reasons... Good game but I'm not a questing person and theres no grind options in it. Another reason is I run the game on low settings, very bad performance otherwise. I need a new computer. WoW is just my game although I reccomend LOTR to people who enjoy questing, RP, and LOTR lore. WoW is also a good game if you can get past the community. But not all servers are bad, im on Exodar server in WoW (PvE) and lots of respectable players. Great server

MMO's im waiting for and MMO's I think wont be anything new.

Waiting for:                Warhammer Online and Age of Conan

Not interested in:            Gods and Heroes, yes it adds multiple character use, but what else? Other than that I bet it will be the same as every other MMO.

Chronicles of Spellborn: Looks cool, but besides the unique graphic art, another game I think will be similar to most MMO's sadly.

Granada Espada: Was a fun game... Loved the multiple character use but other than that theres nothing great. Crafting might be cool when its implemented and city PvP sounds great but lots of MMO's proise stuff and never deliver it or when its delivered its garbage.

Anyone here actually play it? Is it worth downloading? Looks actually cool from the videos but I said that about many freee MMO's and wasted over 2 hours trying them. Post here if you know about it

Go to your lunia folder and run lunia.exe.... dont use the shortcut from the install.

so far its a pretty cool game....

If you want grouping, better graphics, cooler quests, ect... Go with LOTRO

If you want better raiding, more PvP options, and better itemization, go with WoW.

Theer both good games but really depends on what you want.

I have a 19 champion and everytime I group for chapter 11, which is pretty much a standard dungeon encounter, I lose all my power after killing 1 mob in 1 pull. Does this get better later? Cause it seems I must auto attack for more than half the fight. Or do people eat food during combat or something?

they never advertised or hyped a "next gen" mmo with this. They promised a solid game in the LOTR universe and thats what it is. Does it have features from other MMO's? YES, every MMO does and always will, *** ---->>>> What separates the good games that come out are the ones that add thre own unique feel and features to it. Turbine uses a lot of elements from AC days and spices it up. Also, monster play is a lot more complicated then it sounds. People just think (at least I thought from reading) that monster play was just being a monster and going around attacking players. Its NOT.... You can literally (at level 10) ONLY play a monster and progress your monster and PvP in Ettinmores. Yes, its only one zone but when a server of 2000+ players are level 50, that zone is going to be filled with epic battles that remind me of the playstation LOTR games sorta. Its going to be extreme fun.

Were not trying to sucker you into buying this game....LOTRO is truely a good game. I will add, playing the trial might not be enough since monster play is at level 10, crafting is past the starting zone (Past archet if your human), no dungeons until higher teens. The list goes on, I truely suggest gettng this game. I stopped playing wow after 2 years and this game is my new MMO until something crazy comes out.

So i just tried out monster play for my first time today and all I can say is holy &@&&@^@&@&..... Its like a whole new community. There are some people who just play monster play and are waiting for players to get to 50 and start raiding the zone. I believe its called Ettinmore... Its a very very cool concept.

For anyone who isnt familiar with it, you basically select a monster, i think theres 5 choices and you do quests in the monster zone to earn bonuses for your monster. Whether it be skills, traits, or stats, every monster you kil earns destiny points which can be spent on bonuses to your monster or hero, they carry over. The zone contaisn many towers and forts which can be taken over by the heroes or monsters and they fight for control over them. Its a really really cool addition to the game. For anyone who doesnt like leveling, you can pretty much JUST play a monster, and get really powerful and wait until players/heroes show up, you will dominate them.

GAmeplay is top notch... Its a very good game but I will add, low settings is playable on low end computers but it doesnt look pretty. What do you expect? I will also add that ultra high on a high end computer looks so amazing and add a sick sound system with the current music system in the game. Its amazing.
