I have decided to wait and buy a new computer all together. This computer is 4 years old and pretty much every component has an upgrade. The processor isn't even that good compared to what is out there. (i7 930 @ 2.8ghz)
My question is this:
1.) Where is a good place to buy a custom built PC online? (Not putting it together myself)
2.) How much money would I save if I waited for Black Friday this year? (November 28th)
Current Computer Specs -----> Planned Upgrade
GFX: NVIDIA 650 GTX ------> NVIDIA 780 GTX Ti or better (Maybe SLI)
RAM: 6 GB (533mhz) --------> 8-16GB (Fastest mhz/frequency available)
Processor: i7 930 @ 2.8ghz ------> Whatever is better at the time I purchase. I looked it up, seems like 90% of current processors are better than mine.
Monitor: LG 19 inch 1680 x 1050 (Not HD) ------> 21-28 inch HD LPS monitor
Motherboard: ASUS P6T SE x58 ---------> Not sure if this is an out of date motherboard or not.
I don't have my computer invoice from online. How do I see ALL of my specs? I can get my processor. ram, gfx, ect using dxdiag and other programs but I don't see where I can find my power supply.
What is the current top end few graphics cards with estimated price?
Also, should I completely replace my ram with faster ram? I probably have junk ram since I got it online, would faster MHZ in my ram make a difference? (And I had like 10+ GB instead of 6.5GB?)
Directly from my dxdiag!
Processor: Intel Core i7 930 @ 2.8 ghz (8 CPU's)
GFX: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650, approx. total memory: 4038MB
i7 Quad Core
650GTX NVIDIA (2GB VRAM)
I have tried a lot of low settings in Wildstar and it runs clunky. Yes, it isn't optimized, but I still feel my system is weak. Diablo 3 doesnt get 60 FPS when there is a lot on the screen, same with Path of Exile and Marvel Heroes.
Is there something I can upgrade for a few hundred and get a lot better performance or do I need a new computer?
I asked before and people said a nvideo 780.... but honestly, from the sound of it, 650 to a 780 doesnt sound huge.... What are my options? I am willing to spend some money if it WILL be an upgrade and run Wildstar better.
I'm also looking to get a big screen HD monitor.... Something over 19 inches but not like 40 inches.... Something like 20-28 inch range, something nice and big but not TV big. Anyone know a good quality HD monitor? (I was suggested a LG HD monitor, is LG good?)
Change me oil and tighten me screws?
My vision of Bounties, Rifts, and Adventure Mode!

This is my vision of Diablo 3: RoS gameplay. I am going to briefly describe each one with there mechanics. Try and imagine how the game would be with these changes. I feel as though the game would feel more natural and fluid rather than forced like it feels now. It also opens up more freedom with design of future content/features. It focuses on exploring adventure mode with nothing telling you what to do, rather you find things that open up opportunities for more adventures!
-Bounties no longer automatically start when you enter adventure mode, instead, bounty scroll quests drop from monsters.
-Bounty Scrolls drop from adventure mode monsters in three rarities: Blue(Uncommon), Yellow (Rare), and Orange (Very Rare).
-Bounty Scrolls open up a one time portal in your game to a unique instance of a zone in the game.
-Objectives are displayed once you enter the zone.
-Orange Bounty Scrolls contain a challenging boss fight at the end and yield legendary/set items with more quantity of items on higher torment.
-Bounty bosses and caches have a chance to drop keys for the infernal machine event.
-Bounties have a death limit. When the limit is reached, you are ported to town and the portal closes.
-Rift fragments are now a very rare drop in the world.
-Bounties have an increased chance at rift fragments depending on the bounty scroll rarity.
-Rifts spawn with 1-10 levels and each level has objectives to unlock the next level. The last level spawns a rift guardian once the objective is complete.
-Rift guardians have a very large chance to drop legendaries/sets with a chance at dropping 2-3 at a time.
-Rift guardians can drop keys for the infernal machine event.
-Rifts have a death limit. When reached, you are ported to town and the rift closes.
-Adventure mode is the main game mode once you complete the campaign.
-Within Adventure mode, you are free to explore any part of Sanctuary to uncover mysterious rift fragments or find work through bounty scroll quests.
-Champions/Elites/Act Bosses have a chance to be "Blood Crazed". These monsters hold blood shards. Difficulty level determines how many will drop. If you die near a blood crazed monster, blood shards will not drop.
-As you kill monsters in adventure mode, in the same game, you will receive a "soul(s)" for each monster you kill in varying amounts. A soul vendor can randomly spawn in any zone, any act, anywhere. The vendor sells various buffs, powerups, and blood shards. When you exit a game, your remaining unspent souls are turned into experience.
-Treasure goblins spawn in different rarities. White, blue, yellow, orange, and green. White, blue, and yellow have increasing drop rates while orange guarantees a legendary and green guarantees a set item. (This new system applies to both bounty scroll quests and rifts)
-Bosses on Torment 1-6 are locked. While exploring adventure mode on torment 1-6, you can find keys to unlock specific boss fights for that game once. Boss fights are now very rewarding and even more so on higher torment levels. Keys disappear when you exit the game. Dying on a boss locks their lair. Enrage timers removed (This isn't WoW).
-----[Infernal Machine Event]-----
-Uber bosses have a high chance at dropping legendaries/sets.
-The portal closes if everyone dies.
-Soul vendors can sell buffs to aid in the infernal machine event.
Ascend: Hand of Kul just launched on steam. Originally on XBOX360, it's popularity carried it over to the PC. Similar to Dark Souls 2, but unique in it's own right.
It's free to play and I highly suggest checking it out!
In terms of stats, unique bonuses, group play, end game, ect...
What do the four roles provide other than a difference in quests?
Soldier / Settler / Scientist / Explorer
I agree with OP. I have leveled to level 5 on 2 characters now. The starting area and quests are so boring its crazy. All I hear about is how the game really picks up past level 15. I really hope so... I am going to give the game a chance because even WoW at launch didn't pick up until Deadmines/RFC/WC..... Dungeons are usually exciting content, while questing is a snooze-fest.
Can anyone briefly describe the playstyle of each healer/tank role? There are 3 of each....
Which healer plays like a resto druid? (More like an AoE healer with HoT's, ect..)
Which tank has the most mitigation?
Which tank has the best AoE threat?
ect... I want to get a feel for all of the characters. (I have very little time right now)
Or anywebsites that list all the skills, like a ZAM site or something.
That explains it. I was wondering why they were in the same spot. Some guy in chat told me the only reward is if you "tag" the last big enemy, he usually drops green and sometimes blue gear.
They will probably revisit anchors later down the road. In the meantime, I think I will stand clear of them. It's too random. Either there are 30 players zerging it or there are only a few players and we get steamrolled.
I joined a level 6 anchor a a level 8 archer/sorcerer... I have a pet, fully crafted level 8 gear (repaired), and all stat points into health so far. There were about 6 players there, but seemed like all dps. (no healers)
We engaged and we were all wiped out as soon as there were a handful of monsters. There was like 2 big guys and 3 small skeletons.
It was very discouraging because:
-I took the effort to craft an even level set of gear.
-I was sort of grouped since there were 5 other players.
-Seemed unmanageable without a healer.
Bought the game today, played 7 hours!

Level 7 because I have been exploring and learning how things work. The more I learn, the better it all becomes. Ended up getting a few add-ons to make certain things easier, which is nice.
I'm a sorcerer who uses daedric summoning and a bow and it has been very fun. Main focus right now is just getting some skill ups in crafting while exploring. Not in a rush to level up.
Time for bed and work in the morning. I'm happy about my 59.99 purchase.
But do "fun" builds get raped in PvP?
What about a daedric summoner bow user? Does that work?
Is it possible to be a bow/support?
So let me get this straight... You choose a class (Nightblade, dragonknight, templar, or sorceror) and then you choose armor and weapon type?
So what if I do a templar bow user that focuses on damage and a little bit of support? Will I suck?
What are the limitations of this game? Will the above example suffer from something like, needing both stamina and magicka and I become junk at both dps and healing/support? Or does this hybrid type gameplay work? (Sort of like a Druid from Titan Quest where I shoot my bow and use a heal spell)
Do you have to use 2 weapon sets? (Plus questions)

1.) Do you have to use 2 weapon sets? Or can I for example be 100% bow user?
2.) Is the only way to get VR10 to do the storyline for the other factions? (I feel this is a bit crazy, sounds like a million quests. Any other way?)
3.) Can I get enough skill points to max all crafts and my skills if I use one weapon? Such as a bow user..?
1.) Does this game utilize the holy trinity? (Tank, Healer, and Damage) If not, explain how it works.
2.) What is the item system like? (Random stats like Diablo? Like WoW? Simplistic? Awesome? Explain.)
3.) Is crafting a huge part of the game? (Best in slot items?) (***Can you max all crafts or do you choose a limited amount?)
4.) Is leveling mostly a singleplayer questline/storyline with side activities like dungeons? If not, what is leveling like?
5.) What kind of things are there to work for at the level cap? (I see VR or vet terminology used a lot, what is that about?)
6.) If I choose a character path at level 1 and stick to it for the entire game but then change my mind at the level cap, is there a way to completely respec and change my class/specialties or would I need to start a new character?
7.) Is most of the solo friendly or is this mostly a group based experience?

Very unique concept for an ARPG. You do all the normal ARPG stuff, kill monsters, bosses, and collect loot. But in addition, you own your own castle and you create a dungeon out of it. Players can attack or defend there castles and steal loot from them. It is up to you to make your castle dungeon very hard so no one can loot it!
Very unique take on the genre.
