Logic! People bought TOR before launch by the numbers. Hype was hype I admit. So is ALL pre-launch hype for ALL MMO's. Game released and people with unrealistic expectations of it quit playing. Yeah, you'd think there'd be a history behind this...but I've been, at various times here, been accused of being a fanboy of SWTOR (not really, but that doesn't stop my fellow posters). Point being, I'm not the sort to stir up shit on the Offical forums. My inquiry was an earnest one in light of the huge focus on the Guild Summit.

I too would like to see other Summits involving other player types. PvE, Solo, Crafting ect.

I would like to see a Solo Player Summit myself. Not everyone is in a guild. Or likes to group. And considering TOR is tailor-made for Solo/SP types I can't see why they would take offence to it.

Nope this is just a smart move on Biowares part.   The next quarter report is due and they need numbers to say, "see the game is still  doing great."  What better way to do it than to offer free trials.    :)

It is a smart business move.   They will get people to try it that were on the fence.   This will actually increase sub numbers no doubt if by just a little bit.   The new patch being postponed until April will force players to have to go it another month in subs strengthing Biowares claim that the game is retaining players.  EA/Bioware know what they are doing.

Good thing the price was because of the physical items, not the swill they gave to you in-game as perks. But I am not going to argue here about that. Final product proves I was right about that.

Is it worth a punt? I say yes just because it is quite a steep discound from original price. But if Fifty pounds is going to hurt you to spend on entertainment then maybe not. It's all in how you value your money!

Non-hater post for you. I say go for it. But then again I got my CE for free because of a screw up from Walmart.

I think people get angry about file sharing because they pay for games and some people don't. It is really that simple. It simply means that 10,000 people got to play the game for free. Once again thats the part that pisses people off.

If I had apples rotting because no one wanted to buy them, it's ok to take one because no one is buying them anyway so I'm not getting hurt by the loss of one apple? You got it! Day one DLC is bad. Easy argument. But how to stop it? You can't. Easy answer. Greed is king. Someone will shell out the money.

What to do about it? Don't buy the DLC. Buy the game if you are so compelled. Torrent it if you fell like it. Don't punish yourself for someone elses greed. If the DLCs don't sell they will quit doing it (maybe...prolly not but whatever).
