What really needs to be done is FREE server transfers/merges, LFG tool (cross-server or not doesn't matter at this point), and fixing Legacy to not be the money sink it was never supposed to be. All right they can fix the PvP too, but that should be low priority.

Those things would be a start.

Am on the fence with this one having already Pre-purchased GW2 and enjoying the game I am currently... enjoying. Beta Weekend will help me out on whether to get this at some point or not.

So is it true that the only way to get in the Beta this weekend is to either pre-order or be a FB whore?

My excitement for this game just keeps getting lower and lower. I understand the pre-order thing but requiring FB? C'mon. Very ironic. Not that I actually believe in "secret societies" but I do believe in greedy people running social circle-jerk sites that care nothing about your privacy or who they sell your info to and make money off of.

"Secret World" does not require a Facebook account.

"Secret War" does, it is only a marketing tool, but is not required to play "Secret World".

On-topic: Still on the fence about D3. Already pre-ordered GW2, looking real hard at TSW and really enjoying my current MMO. Plus I still haven't finished Skyrim, LA:N, KoA:R,R2:DW and DS3. Also playing the Age of Decadence beta and digging the old school aspects of it.

TOR released with WAAAAAY too many servers. Time to merge was long ago. But with Legacy Name issues it will be hard to do without people being disappointed that they will lose ther name. I hope this is why it is taking so long.

This is true. Since they have been bought out by whoever last year the quality of service has dropped quite a bit. Updates are just now being done on a weekly basis like they used to be. Did you look at the site? It states bold and clearly with big bright yellow outline Pre-purchase. Every where you can buy the game says you'll receive your activation key, so if that's the issue, well I guess they're all guilty.
