I've just about lost hope in Age of Casters. I mean, seriously... After extensive research on how Mythic treats their playerbase, I have little doubt they'll do us wrong like Funcom did. Gaute's letter really didn't "do" anything for me, but only wonder if he's just tossing us more bullcrap. I canceled a while ago and said I would go back once the game is ready, but it looks like that won't happen. |

Mr. Jacobs had to do what he had to do. He could have lied to the playerbase like every other gaming company has, but he chose not to. There were very valid reasons to everything done, and they're just trying to avoid pulling an AoC on us. He even stated that people would be upset about it, but Mythic isn't allowing any content that's less than "fabulous" to be released, and I highly respect that. A delayed release is out of the question because it would just be a bad business move and would also cause more problems, still being left leaving current problems unsolved. I say suck it up and appreciate Mythic's honesty and track-record. What's being cut now may just come back later better than ever. We shall see. |

Hmmm... Between those who love the game and hate the game I can only wonder what class they chose to play
Or the people who are loving the game---Isn't it great that the character you wanted to play wound up to be so powerful? Ohhh, that's a lot of fun... See what I'm getting at? Class imbalance can totally break a game into 1000s of pieces. |

This, sir, is a very very interesting thread. I can 100% agree on the fact that investors were a factor in the set release date; how big a factor? Only Funcom knows. |

What leads me to state these points lies in the game mechanics the makers of Darkfall (don't know the company name off the top of my head) are pressing. Check out the game's features, it'll make sense. |

Aiight Dr. Phil, will do. Since when does this sort of advice apply to online gaming? So if a group of people come running at you telling you product "A" is much much much better than product "B," you're going to call them desperate? Where can I buy your book? (sarcasm) |

No more: - Re-rolling 10 different characters to experience all the classes' skills and abilities. - Wishing your class had somewhat similar skills and abilities as your buddy. - Complaining about class balance and waiting for patches to come out just to fix it. - Regretting your class decisions and tactics just because you got pwned in the face again and again. - Auto attack, skill mashing, and heat-seeking spells. - Instanced crap and small rinky-dink zones/lands. - Comparing what one game has that the one you're playing doesn't. - World of Warcraft. |
