Sorry, this chick really doesn't like to look at peni all day, that's pretty ick.  A nice looking guy with some awesome armor, a big sword, and a mount that isn't a horse (cuz I like games that have a big variety of mounts) and you've got a cover I can really stare at for a while.

Fanbois can say all they want about its outstanding customization but its nothing spectacular. AoC has a great customization tool... I am glad I got into the beta to try it, becuase I would have been royally disappointed with paying for it every month, especially if it is 15$. yuk.

I know this might be silly but whatever I will go ahead... The feel of the game is too eastern to me. Everything is kung-fu style and the emotes are really stupid ( It was actually annoying to a point.). If they had any marketing sense the developers would have seen this as a potential flaw. YES I KNOW it is a game from Korea, but there the ones marketing to ME.

What I hope for the players is that they will limit the amount of customization. I was playing with tiny characters with huge heads... or huge characters with tiny heads. The customization tool allows you to go extremely small or extremely huge with your character's body. This is so very annoying. More power to you if you like your character this way but it ruins the gameplay for me.

The graphics are not at all outstanding and I have a rather good PC. I really dont care about graphics as long as story telling in the game is good, but that was not present in Aion. They story seems like it has been told a thousand times before (some of the cut scenes are actually awkward to watch). Especially when I met the Deku Tree in a lower level zone...

For me the game just didnt pull me in. I had no drive to get back on and play. I wasn't pulled into the game like I was in FFXI. I am glad others find it fun, but I did not.

 

i agree i'm glad i'm skipping this game too

everything about the game is too korean from the graphics to the grind

you can always run away unless your attacker disables you

all you have to do is stick to secure systems

you can go to nonsecure systems to make more money but you always run the risk of being blown up

I just started playing this game after putting it off for years and I love every second of it.

It's complex and I love it because of that.

Are there any other MMOS coming out soon that will be like EVE?

No there is nothing really new in Aion but it is fairly polished and runs very well while having decent graphics. Now before people jump on me for saying just decent I include the whole package in there. The characters themselves are outstanding. A lot of the buildings are very well done. However the ground and backdrop textures are WoW like. Guild Wars has better environment textures than Aion does but I think it's a fair trade off for how well it runs.

the game is fairly polished because it's simple as hell... it's hard to mess up a game like that

i dunno there aren't that many games that try to innovate any more

And in Warhammer, you can PvP right from the start, both in BGs and in meaningful (somewhat) open RvR.

 

Devs have got to learn that players don't want to 'earn' the access to the fun PvP, regardless of good or garbage the leveling PvE is. If Warhammer teaches them anything (beside not saving money on a garbage graphics engine) let it be that.

you can also level up in pvp in champions online
