All the signs (level-headed beta reports, game footage, etc) indicated that Aion is, underneath, a very unimaginative piece of software. But then again, we as gamers pay 50 bucks for a single player game that we can beat in 15h, so I wouldn't say that buying Aion would be a waste of money. But it doesn't sound like it has a great deal of long-lasting appeal.

 i beta tested this game and though it was complete crap

not only were the graphics horrible on max the combat was laggy and boring

First off, you need to forget everything you know about MMO.

 

EVE is not based on traditional progress from small ships to large ships.
EVE is not based on 'epic gear'.
EVE is not based on any type guidance.
EVE is not based on PVE.

The primary movement force in the game is PVP - not in combat but player interaction term.

Missions(plexing - raiding) is the only PVE activity you can do in EVE.

 

 

 

so the point of the game is to socialize? i have been meeting a lot of helpful people

Sorry, this chick really doesn't like to look at peni all day, that's pretty ick.  A nice looking guy with some awesome armor, a big sword, and a mount that isn't a horse (cuz I like games that have a big variety of mounts) and you've got a cover I can really stare at for a while.

 

Good news lads! 

That giant phallic compensation of a sword you raided for for 3 months is actually more desirable to women than the real thing!

 

Hmm, maybe i'll have to get into raiding after all.
