What do you mean with no interiors???

Isnt this suppose to be a sci-fi space MMO same  as SWG, and you cant be inside the ships?? How will they pull that of? Sounds weird to me.

I guess you've not heard of Eve Online then. ;)

This sin't Eve Online its StarTrek  more than 80% of all startrek was from inside a ship or station perspictive , I am not saying every person should have a ship to wander around but they do need to incorporate ship interiors into the game

Maybe something like ? well wow has Ironforge - Dalaran as major player hubs to sell , repair, craft, get quest ect ect  so why can't we have ships that are hubs  where you can wander around them do shopping chat , get quests , craft  & use the transporters to go of on adventures or travel on shuttles to far of wonders..

Just a thought

Might & Magic : World of Xeen ..

Its not that you would want to play 10+ hours a day  its the fact that you dont have the freedom to m starts of at 300 hours a month  & then a few other MMO follow suit & then one says 250 hours  & before you relize it you paying $15 a month for 50 hours or even an hourly fee..

The Last Hope for Full PVP if Darkfall fails , Companys take a big risk pushing for full PVP it limits there audience to a vocal minority m but I appluade them for taking that risk .

I enjoyed the read & there are some good points ..

Do I need a high lvl character to be able to start the class or any level will do?

Maybe you were thinking of the new WOW Characters  where you need to have a lvl 70 Character in  order to be able to create a new Death Knight ( Which starts his life at lvl 55) LOTRO you start at lvl0 which is nore fun ,,

ahh nice strategy by blizzard, rather than try and fill up all those LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW pop servers, they add another one. completely briliiant move on their part. why think of a strategy to fill up the current servers when they can just feed the masses a new one.

?? What I am confused , all the complaints on the wow forums are mostly related to server queue's & overcrowding servers  & your saying Low pop servers , I guess I live on a different planet than you ..

Not that graphics are going to make this game, gameplay will, but those most certainly shows the game is a bit long in the tooth graphics wise.  If you are impressed by those graphics, you have not played any MMO in the last 5 years at all.

Still waiting for beta to start.  Hopefully it will be soon or we won't see the game this year.

Ok., I'm going to do a little timeline of the evolution of MMO graphics, then marked which games failed, maybe make it more apparent that the graphics are A) fine, and that B) graphics don't make much difference.

EverQuest 1, 1999

Now that brings back memories , I remember that even in West Commons

You won't see Trials this early unless the developers are super confident with there product , only MMO in the near future released with a trial is TCOS which I am looking forward to trialing ..

I guess developers have no forsight , isnt it time they develop easy character transfers before releasing a game so when things like low pop server do arise its a simple  click & where done .. develop now for the future not release now & developt later ..

1: Vanguard

2: AOC

3: WAR

theirs a chat chanel ? I only played for 2 week but never saw any chat apart for the few /say from someone close to me

You should not have to pay for a trial , they could easy make a version of the game which just has the trial island in it availible for free DL , then if you like it you pay to get the complete game , I know i will not be paying $50 to play a trial

If you think about it you would have to asume the trial island will be a free DL , because if you have to buy the game why do you need a trial  when you get a free month for buying the game in the first place..

That looks more like a patch from the last months of a Beta release than a game thats been out for a few months ..

So its got a free2play area , great idea btw  but do i have to buy the game to get access to this F2P area ?

Pros

Public Quests - Finally we see  some trickle of creative thinking outside the box in terms of MMO gameplay with PQ's.   Everyone that participates in the event gets a fair chance at rolling for loot.  This encourages players to work together for a common goal.

Nice in Theory but from my experience they fail to maintain , for the first few days they were great  but as people level anyone  new joining the game will find them empty as i did of the 12 times I did the PQ  I never saw more than 1 other person doing them with me ,, & as you know they cant be completed without at least a group  well at least the final parts .. a fix for this would be  to scale the encounters for the amount of people doing it at that time

Variety of classes - The classes aren't anything super unique, and isn't going to blow away a veteran MMO gamer but you do have a variety of choices here.  I wish they had taken more creative risk here to give us something more unique.  The classes for the most part represent  the fluff of the Warhammer Universe well.  I haven't ran into every class in PVP yet, but they seem to be more or less balanced.

I am happy here

Smooth Launch - Unlike VG:Saga of Crap, this game is more or less released in a completed state and polished state.  There's a few issues that need to be worked on, but it is by far nothing like the unfinished mess VG was where you would run into 15 bugs before you were level 5.

Was smooth for many & not for some  Oceania servers were down a few  times with passwords not being accepted  but for the most part it was a nice launch

Smooth Performance - A lot of people are comparing the graphics to WoW, but consider that Blizzard ripped off from the Warhammer Universe, not the other way around.  It was a smart move to keep the graphics managable tor mid to lower end computers.  Yes its nice to be able to have extremely high graphic quality, but if you alienate players by doing so its not so good for the health of the game.  Overall the grahic quality is good, not anything totally amazing, but good.  Plus if the game had been released with high graphics and not optimized properly, you will have hitching and other slow down issues.  For a PVP centric game this isn't acceptable.  The character models represent the Warhammer Universe very well.

Tome of Knowlege - This book keeps track of all your achievements and records.

Lovin it

Cons

Generic Quests -  With the exception of PQ's, quests are generic kill 'xxx' of these, go visit this person, or collect 'xxx' clickables on the ground.  This is all been done before nothing to see here if you are a veteran MMO gamer.  For someone that brought in the idea of PQ's I had hoped that there would be much more creativity here.  There is a ton you could do with the Warhammer Universe.

There could have been more variety but its what you would expect from a game at the start

Only 6 races - Where is the Skaven!  Where's the Brettionians? Lizardmen? Giants? Vampire Counts? Beastmen? Also you have many different factions in the Warhammer Universe within Humans and Chaos.  Would be nice to bring in some of these choices into the game.

You dont want to see all races at the start or what is there to look forward to ,,

Queue - What the fark?  You have to wait in line to join a server if its full?  Excuse me?  I am not going to pay 15 dollars a month for  a subscription fee if I have to wait in a line to be able to play with my favorite character.  No other MMORPG I've seen does this.

This is unacceptable you should never have to wait for something you pay for ..

Poor crafing/gathering - Only two crafting professions is a huge dissapointment.  The gathering skills are a bit more varied.  I took Cultivating and I'm not liking it.  I do not like how you abstractly grow plants in a window opened from your ability menu.  Why not be able to interact with the world and grow the plant in the actual game?  Not a window?  This is 2008 folks.  In VG you are able to actually chop down trees in the game, and they fall down and crash.

Yes  should have been better

No player housing - I enjoy collecting things and putting them in my home, inviting friends over.  It would also be nice to be able to own your own business, such as an Inn or a shop.  There needs to be some activities to do besides combat all the time which goes into my next complaint.

I expect these within the first year or the first expansion , but would have been nice now

Not enough "non-combat" activities - this is 2008.  MMO's need a bit more variety in things you can do outside of combat.  Player run cities, deep crafting, housing, fun mini games, diplomacy, ect ect ect.  SWG did this well before SOE screwed it up.  VG was supposed to have a full diplomacy system, but it flopped and ended up being a boring grindy card game battle, and was never finished or fully realized.  You've got to have game immersion and something for the roleplayers.  People will get tired of combat 24/7.

I agree

Why do game have to choose one or the other ,  why can we all just get along , ?  simple sultion is to have Full PVP servers  & Pure PVE servers with characters adjusted to suit each type .. let the public pick where they want to play ..

PQ's
Public Quests are the future of MMO's. I don't get why nobody has done this before! Every few levels, the quests get a little too hard for me and PQ's are an excellent alternative. There's always plenty of people doing them, which makes it really fun. I mean, I like playing a healer and all but, sometimes I just want to beat down on some monsters and I feel like I can do that in PQ's without having to worry about keeping other people alive.

I am allready finding these empty , for the last 3 days I have tried to do  PQ- House Arkaneth at least a dpzen time & never seen more than 1 other person doing it at the same time , its allways empty ..

I'll take gameplay over grafix anytime .. thoses grafix are fine as long as the game is great .
