Dont worry they will be patched in, it is alot to do, the release stage might have been pushed back to allow further refinment.

Acually YES i would rather have small things broken while they fix the LARGE/GAME BUSTING problems.  It stupid to fix some clothing, dialogue, etc while the core game mechanics are broke!

Core game Mechanics are broke? Are you out of your MIND?

You can walk and run, and hit people in AoC, you got it ALL WRONG!

If you said the core mechanics behind sieges...that would have made some sense, but man...

PvP is what will make a lot of people come back, I promise you that, DX10 isn't going to make many comeback considering that only a small percentage would have the hardware to handle that (I could be wrong).

Age of Conan will bounce back, no doubt about that, but the question is when? As soon as Funcom releases its content patches, more importantly would be the tweaks and fixes that prevent from AoC being very unstable, I played AoC in the EA and it was more stable than it is at present, I would get no crashes, but now I would get 4-5 crashes for about 2-3 hours of play.

So far, Funcom have managed to be late/or never about everything they promised, good luck with those content patches. Seems like fixing clothes on an npc was a higher priority than anything else.

Have you been on a team who developed any MMORPGs? Then you cannot comment on Funcoms priorities. Its a simple process, things that need fixing fast are fixed first, and those that need time are longer to fix, would you rather have small things broken whilst they work on other things?

But then again, as I said, you cannot comment on things you don't understand. This question is already answered by Funcom, so no need to repeat it.

I've been on a team that developed star-ups, as a VP of sales.

<modedit>

You think they focus all there attention on small problems? They can have people working on different things all the time.

And yes I do know what I'm talking about.

In any case, Funcom has a lot on there plate - does ANYONE have any proof that the first fix was to fix clothes? In most patches there is more than ONE fix...so it seems someone slightly exaggerated...

Do you really think that releasing too early an unfinished(very unfinished)product to "beat" another product, which has been pushed back on release date but it's keep getting better and better,is a good strategy? .IMHO I think not.

Its a common strategic plan in marketing...

this plan will actually work if FC make massive changes to the game content and huge bug fixes b4 WAR

Believe me, they will.
Its not like they are stabbing at the dark with these decisions...CMON it is a REAL company...

The Mini-Games are the best part of Conan

Its a common strategic plan in marketing...its a way to stay ontop of competition.
A nice example is Nvidia's Geforce 9 series, it was released to not let its competition inside the market, or so they thought.

I think people expect too much out of a MMORPG.
Yet, they dont expect much of themselves, they whine like the are 5 years old then expect Funcom to change things, I think Funcom actually has a plan to deal with this if its not too obvious.

Though it comes down to if you like Low-Fantasy vs High-Fantasy (AoC vs War/WoW/LOTRO), and the fact that if you are literate or not, if you actually read the books written by REH.
I pick low-fantasy, simply because I am sick of fairies.

So, where are the respectable sources of this article?
Considering that its biased, I think its more of a Blizzard fanboy post.

This game is boring because, I believe, none of ya have even read works by REH or others, that makes the game VERY boring, because you dont know what the hell you are doing playing this game, and maybe, you have been going to mcdonalds all too often.

I believe, AoC breathes fresh air into the Scene, its definitly not BORING, but it is unfinished.
It also depends on how you see the game, it is set in a low-fantasy world 10,000 years ago.
Although not historically accurate, it is more about this than anything else.
Funcom will bring in the fun stuff for you burger munchers soon enough.

Please re-review this game in 2-3 months.
At the moment, AoC is not worthy of a review.

Well, AoC should be getting around a 7.0 anyway.
Once it gets the content patched in, it will jump back up no problem, and still this game has a top rating so don't be so harsh on yourselves or on the game.

of MMO's is AoC, no doubt about that

vBulletin Message

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: July 9th, 2008, 02:00 PM

This is what I said:
Stop filibustering with comics, and get onto fixing the game.

Ooooh, I must have hit hard at home!

I missed the part where they gave no reason so we only have YOUR story to go by and by history of people that always claim they got banned for no reason it is usually the exact opposite of what was stated.

I am done with this thread though. You got banned because you broke the rules, at least it was only temporary. You did the crime, now do the time.

I posted why I got banned, but by not providing a banning reason is just disrespectful, I didnt go around swearing on that thread, a reasoanble statement, I will do exactly the same thing when I get unbanned, and NOTHING will happen, simply because its not a direct statement towards Funcom.

They are pretty sensitive considering the situation...
