As a former player of FE (cancelled a month ago) I too got this email.  Clicked on the link to see what happens and it takes you to your account log in page.  When you log in it tells you that your account is expired and asks that you choose a subscription.  There is no play button option.  I have contacted the FE CS and informed them of this issue.

Anyone have links to info on the camps and gambling?

Go to Oilville or generally and major town, and you'll find a construction trainer, pretty easy to get into it right off the bat.

Gambling is only located in bars (theres bars everywhere) that have a major "traveler" influence. Pretty much in short it means any larger town should have gambling....

On top of that you admit your company is very low on budget and time to release.

A metal box with a small 4gb ALPHA client that they started making months ago.

"But its not their fault! omg mass producing metal boxes cost a lot of money blah blah blah" - okay then they coulda made a better business decision - if they couldnt afford to make them then dont...people would be much happier for 80 bucks getting a full client, and a manual.

How are these graphics (my screens) outdated?

hrmm....I wont get into the sex based MMO's but I suppose DDO or CoS (spellborn) might fit your taste? DDO can support dx10 which is nice. And of course theres that wierd Free Realms game that many many gamers (even older) seem to like.

Right now player camps can get seriously hardcore, ad they serve a purpose for once!

I for one love housing, but all too many times (in LoTRO, VG, EQ2, and even UO) I would not even bother going to my house much, as it served no purpose...if not for storage.

So far the dev team I think has taken a great concept that fits with the world, however gives you a reason to build camps. Some of the later ones are little mini towns pretty much equipped with banks, vendors and crafting stations.

If they do add semi-permanent (meaning inactivity decay) housing, I would llike to see it controlled like DF and VG did.

Fuck graphics, its all about style....think Shadowbane here, I just loved the style of the world. Graphics were terrible, but I loved them. Get 1 or 2 guys who can design neat looking armor/weapons (I'll send you a couple perhaps for free) and put them into the game in a simple, yet stylized way. Sounds like a fun project

/timesync helps - and a decent comp w/o lag....but personally I love the animation in this game.

I got a refund on my purchase...they seemed fairly nice.

It also might help to report blog posts or the users themselves, as some seem to be getting away with accounts for weeks and posting quietly here and there. It seems that using the blog tool might become popular among them as well.

It does have a unique feel.  Combat is a bit clunky but, crafting is simple and easy to pick up as a side option to support your ammunition needs.  I was actually leaning towards a crafter role with rifle as my combat backup.  

 

I guess the feel I am getting is the time requirement.  Not sure if I have the time and effort to put into a game such as this any longer.  Which may mean most of the MMORPG world maybe falling into this category for tru MMO games ( RE: not CO, STO, WoW ETC.) 

 

Just not sure about it.  It could also be I have been burnt on what i thought were going to be good MMO games and am afraid this one will eventually let me down as well.  If it had some type of player housing in it ( I know there is something in the works ) I might be more interested as it would ogive it more of the PRE-CU SWG feel ( minus the variable resource stats ).  Even combat seems to have that feel of clunky pre-CU that SWG had at the time.

In fact, the casual progression of Fallen Earth is what keeps me playing the most. I can log in for 20-30 minutes 5 times a week and feel like I'm progressing every session. I think this is mainly due to the fact you get 2 AP's per "bar" and there's 10 bars per level, and since you get XP from harvesting and crafting it really flows well for casuals.

On a funny note, that Asian internet cafe probobly smells SOOOO bad, haha no one even is wearing a shirt or showered in who knows how long! Add some stinky tofu (a real dish) and you got one nastah smell!

 

Korean Internet cafes aren't like that shown in the picture... really... The only thing they smell of is smoke, and most korean internet cafes have smoke/non-smoke sections now. I KNOW, I'm a Korean myself.

But alas, the Korean gaming community has always been different to that of the western and something like this happening is no suprise to me. It's sad, but was somewhat expected.

hehe I was just making a joke.....trust me a room full of smelly hicks from my town in the U.S. playing games would prolly even be worse.

EDIT: in fact, if it doesnt smell bad in a internet cafe for you, then your lucky...I cant even go to them because it makes me want to gag.
