CCP dev's have extreme OCD......this fanfest's "vision of the future" they wanted colonization for alliances with stargates blah blah blah..

 

Last years fanfest "vision of the future" they talked about making POS's more accessable to the casual player, making them upgradeable, pretty much a orbiting tank to which you can dock and store your stuff.....and affordable for extreme casual players..

 

The year before that, they talked about walking in stations....ring mining....going into abandonded stations to salvage etc.

 

Yes I know they put walking in stations on the backburner, but it IS going to be incorporated eventually....its essentially the technology they're using for World of Darkness. 

 

to get all this by the 20th anniversary of Eve....they'd need to double their team or get a robot to do their design strategy.

That isn't what OCD is.

I dont feel like its that big of an issue. They are not getting something that you can't get.  Its only $15 afterall.  On top of that, Bioware is trying to bring back old players to bolster the population and all your doing is trying to hurt that.

You achieve nothing with this (not like it would get that large of a following anyway).

What your doing is childish. I dont care if you play slow and didnt get to 50. Whining about how someone is getting a month sub that you are not getting is immature.  Now if they were getting something that is impossible for you to get then I understand. 

How can you say that without actually knowing the mechanics of the skill?

Stop listening to these people.  Most of them are just trolls.  The F2P in NA comes out April 11, and it will be fully F2P with no restrictions (the same model is used for L2).  They have stated it will not be pay 2 win either as people have claimed.  End game in Aion is a mix of PvP and PvE, there is PvE only content, and I know of people who get tons of PvP points and gear through PvE.  A large part of end game is PvP in the Abyss though.

Of all the things to complain about... Like everyone else said AoC was like that in 2008, and I believe VG:SOH is massive as well.  Get used to it or stop playing MMOs.

That doesnt even make any sense.  I've yet to see an MMO that doesnt allow you to download the client once you have set up your account with your CD-Key.

Also, you still have to long into the game through ANET's log in so its no more safe.  If they get your GW2 account info they can just log into your account and change it or log into any other GW2 client.

He never said you cant, just that you shouldn't.  Yes minecraft is written in java and it shows.  It performs terribly where it shouldn't.  And why do we care that a parking meter uses java? Do you plan on playing this on a parking meter?  They should have used a language more suited to this kind of thing.

I dunno, I'm certainly a collector of games and I have plenty of CE boxes sitting on my shelves, but the whole jacking-up-the-price-by-$70-with-a-statue is getting a little tiresome. I think it's most troubling with Guild Wars 2 because the character is so obscure and the property itself is still fairly new. I also can't say that the writing for Guild Wars 1 was anything that drew me in much. Taking the hit to my wallet for a statue of Darth Malgus, arguably the most prominent character in TOR's marketing scheme was one thing. The Batman statue for DCUO was also pretty understandable, though I didn't bother with the game personally. Doing it for Rytlock Brimstone? Meh, I'll pass. I'd have been more comfortable with the charr plushy for an extra $10-$20.

I agree about the price.  And I think you would be a person who is in the right place to comment on it.  But the people who are like "I dont want the statue but its expensive" are just wasting forum space.

Then SC2 is an MMO.  Blizzard is targeting a max of 8 people at a single time.  There will be no in game lobbies (with characters) that even have that.  So no, not check.

Role.. character classes?  Check

Playing.. we play it right?  Check

Game.. it's a game?  Check

These last 3 just qualify it to be a RPG. So you have an ORPG. That is not an MMO. But even then your going hyper literally with it.  Halo is a role playing game in the literal terms.  You have a role - Master Chieft, Play - You play it, Game - its a game.  Therefore every single game you play is an RPG.  Do you see the issue?

 

Yeah I know.  We've had this argument in many other threads.  We don't consider it a MMO, let alone a MMORPG, but MMORPG.com deems the game big enough to mention it and create a forum page for it.

Thats the stupidest thing I've ever seen.  Why does the card have to match exactly to the name on the account.  I know I use Bill sometimes for account names but all my cards say William.  

I checked Amazon for a timecard or something like that and couldn't find one.  If Amazon doesnt carry it then good luck finding it anywhere else thats not some small sketchy site.

There is talk of it coming to a console, but no word on what console or when.  So at this moment, dont count on it.

The whole game is going F2P in the us when patch 3.0 drops. Its actually a major thing if you go to the aion website...

A simple google search would have told you that.
