Well that depends on how far you have your viewing distance set in options .  Unless of course there's a storm, then you'll have your viewing distance shot.

if you think it's only fun for a month that's because you probably made no friends and had no outfit (at least a good one)  check out Sturmgrendier for NC, The Enclave for TR, and Xen of Onslaught for VS...those are all good Emerald outfits that you'll find make the game much more fun.  (I'm a member of The Enclave and loving it)

eh, I think there's a lot different (I beta tested and am now a subscriber).  the important thing to me in this game is that you get with a good outfit and get oriented with them.  it's half the game imo.  I think there's still a trial, if there is make sure you give it another go.
