The thing that stupid about this game to me is the dumb looking animations/movement ... it feels really lame and cartoony. |

Ok... imagining your world.
............ and I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. I'm not even a "hardcore pvp'er" MMO's to me though are all about competition! About the thrill of being better than your "neighbor"! It's about FUN... NOT Friendliness. Fun is being as good as you can be... and being able to PWN the guy next to you. Though you should have a select group on your side I suppose... that's what guilds are for. You know in Narnia I rooted for the evil queen. (that movie sucked)... stupid talking beaver. I think MMO's are headed towards a glorious time and I think the mainstream has giving us a chance to have many more MMO's... I think WoW (as boring as it gets to me) has attracted a large number of new players to the market... I know my main game used to be Diablo 2... those days rocked... I guess I would have been a hardcore pvp'er Like I said I think the state of things is great. You can have your sissy LOTRO ... and i'll take a chance on AoC or WAR... gonna try them both. Just wait for the first 6 months of 2007 or so and we'll see where MMO's are at for the true gamer. (the true gamer isn't JUST an MMO'er btw, and true gamers aren't carebears... because we like competition... carebears are a whole other animal |

I'm sure myself and many others can give the uninformed and unintelligent many reasons why this is not gonna be a WoW clone, but why waste time on him. ... still looking forward to Conan and WAR ... at least one should end up being good.

LOL ... after pointlessly reading all of that i've gotta say... snakey sounds retarted. He never said he didn't enjoy the game, yet you assumed(you know what they say about assuming?) He never said he played WoW... I just love it when people reply to someone attempting to ARGUE and actually prove the point they were trying to make. I played EVE for about 10 days... couldn't get into it myself... even though I love the idea of an awesomely graphical 3D space MMO... and I'll admit you need to REALLY want to play and dedicate yourself to get into it. It's probably not impossible, but quite difficult and possibly very frustrating as Reborn is trying to say amongst all the crap the fanbois are giving him lol. Sad to see that someone can't even get their point across without a couple people having to pms on him and assume that he couldn't play the game and enjoy it if he has a gripe about it. Personally I'd be a little unhappy if a game I enjoy makes it harder to get new people into. He obviously wants the game to succeed. Then you go and call HIM stupid. What a laugh. |

Lol ya... i'm 18 and everyone I know that plays is 18+ ... i'm sure there's younger players out there, but they really don't usually get far enough into the game to spoil my fun. Maybe that's just me. And about the quest system... entertaining what you say for a second ... questing all the way through is a little (really... just a little) mroe entertaining that grinding... for most people anyway. Personally I don't quest ... anymore. I did a little when I first started and somewhat enjoyed it, but it gets as tedious as anything. I personally like to run dungeons for my levels... something you can start doing around lvl 16 16-24 VC, 24-28? Stockades, 28-35 Gnomer, 35-46 SM/SFK, 46-54 ZF/Mara... then BRD ... i've found grouping with others to run these dungeons (which usually includes a few quests that u get along with the xp of killing mobs until about the 4th or 5th time you've done it.) to be a great way of leveling. The most fun I have doing these is when I get good groups that all know what they're doing and we can run through without problems. Anyway... saying that ... I find dungeons to be faster than questing, and everyone i've talked to has said they find grinding faster than questing, so I don't know what you were smoking when you were doing this (assuming you've ever really played to a decent level before you've criticized a game) but questing seems to be the slowest way of leveling unless you're a god at questing and have nothing slow you down the whole time... personally i'll cut out all the running back and forth time and stick to instancing. |

Myself, i've played some MMO's played WoW... got bored of it, griping about some little things... played a bunch of other MMO's for a while... CoV, SW:G, ... tried EVE, EQ2... and a bunch of free ones (currently playing Voyage Century beta) ... and well, eventually after either getting bored or having way too big of problems I came back to WoW. I see pontential, and the merits of lots of the games i've played, but for the most part i've had less gripes with WoW than any of them, and that's really what it comes down to. I don't really think WoW is "the game for me" ... but until they come out with something better (crossing my fingers for Conan and WAR) ... WoW just seems to be the best, most polished game out there... so i'm just gonna wait until someone does something better that will appeal to as many or close to as many as WoW. I've always been a fan of Blizzard and their highly polished games........ but I was never as much of a fan of Warcraft as I was of Diablo 2 and Starcraft... but they've always made a quality product which all of course you could make gripes about, but what they do well they do VERY well. Make a World of Diablo or Starcraft Blizzard and you'll really have me hooked |
