News Discussion « General Discussion 2/07/12 5:59:58 PM
I dont know about anyone else but I really enjoyed the demo. The world was fun to run through, the way the quests are setup similar to how mmos are was very cool, it only left me wanting more. |

Operation Fake Sweep' Takes Down Sports Streaming Sites
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 2/05/12 7:23:42 PM
Here is the news article, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/02/super-bowl-piracy-operation-fake-sweep_n_1250996.html. I swear soon every site I use on the internet is going to be taken down. These people are cry babies, simply put. They act as if these sports sites are killing there babies or something. Winey crap makes me sick, sux cause I use these sites even though I got access to cable. There saying that its costing people there pensions, WTF? what in the hell does a few people watching sports on the internet have to do with peoples pensions, haha. I hate what there doing to the interent, I dont see how people that have no relation to anything at all with what we do, ie. the Operation Fake Sweep people, can just come in and be the head boss and say whats right and wrong, who the hell do these people think they are? |

This is not a weird post at all. I know exatly what the poster is talking about. It has nothing to do with how good or not the game is, I think its just part of what makes SWTOR. I just took it as its better to be a casual player and not over do it, Iv talked to alot of people that have said they hate the game an all of them were level 50. Its actually a good feeling, if you let the game tingle your sences like wine, you dont drink the entire bottle and say wine sux, your suppose to sip it. |

Star Wars same sex marriage in game? Found this video in a Christian Youtube channel
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/28/12 9:19:03 AM
Im homosexual. and after reading about what and what not was being added to the game at the launch, I ended up buying it. I hadnt planned on picking it up though for the very reason of Bioware talking down against what makes me me, but after hearing that wasnt the case and that they would touch on the issue in a reasonable manner I bought the game. Homosexuality is the most beatifull thing Iv ever known. If some one or some group of people are ruining that part of me which makes my life great then I simply wont buy there product or ignore them or fight for my rights. |

should swtor have built their own engine?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/27/12 10:35:31 AM
Originally posted by TheFirst109 I really dont think this is fair to say. I never noticed or felt a need for there to be either a day/night cycle or weather system in SWTOR. The game is a new step in a direction that hasnt really been taken before, the small things like weather and day/night are really minor and I dont think make the package any less if they were there in the first place. You have to take a look at the priority of there stuff, do you really think Bioware couldnt do those things in there game if they felt it was nessasary, of course they could. This game isnt ment to be a simulator like many other mmos, its like reading a book, you dont have to constantly know what time of day it is or what the weather is doing, the story is what compels you. |

Its not my petition, I just found it using the search engine. I make websites, I know how hard it is to start something from nothing, this is just sad to see. Its not only megaupload they took down, they took down 50 other sites including a video hosting service megavideo, which is like 1 in 10000 video sharing websites on the interent, thats totally blind censorship if you ask me. |
|

yah I dont doubt the trouble with the customer support, there plain terrible, but then again I had some bad CS support with aion also so it doesnt seem to be concentrated to just this mmo. |

General: Why I'm Freaking Out Over SOPA/PIPA
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/21/12 12:48:26 PM
With the closing of megaupload, and 50 sites that connect to it, I dont see why they dont just pass SOPA/PIPA, I say its worse they can take down individual sites without a second glance from the millions of people that use it every day including me. Maybee they can make a few hundread thousand more jobs for people that all they do all day is watch the interent for online piracy, thats money well spent, lmao. |
|
|
I used megavideo/megaupload almost everyday, so obviously I signed the petition, if you used it and would like to do so also then you can at http://www.webpetitions.com/petition/save-and-re-open-megavideo-and-megaupload/8621. Its only got 70 votes so far and there looking to get a million so they got a ways to go. FYI: For those not knowing what hapened, the FBI took down the megaupload websites as well as arrest the owners of it. The petition is there for those that didnt think they were right in doing that simply put. |

Iv bought time cards for many mmos, never had a problem, why would this game be any different. Where are you getting the info from? There was a story here on mmorpg when the wave of people were complaining about having to have some form of payment plastic to use the game, the person said that they had even added a gametime card and still couldnt play there account but I figured that was some some random thing. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: New Video Looks to the Future
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/20/12 7:24:04 AM
Just wanted to say some thing, I keep typing then deleting it. The video didnt seem out of the normal for some one to act to me, I mean honestly are you guys being serious? hehe, but anyway SWTOR is currently my favorite game for anyone deciding on wether or not to buy and I play just about every pc game. Its the first game Iv played in a long time that gives you that feeling of new territory, something fresh and exciting.

Theres many choices when looking for a gaming laptop. You will want to buy by 1 rule, dont overpay, theres so much shite out there in the gaming sector of mobile that its easy to pay way more then you need to for something that is inferior to many other better deals. Malibal is a good one to check out, they got the worlds fastest laptop in the x7200(heres the pictures(its sold by many other brands, its not specific to malibal)) which costs 1837$ currently with them. I would very much recommend that laptop, it has everything you can imagine on a laptop and looks half way decent as to take it out and about although its 18 inch screen so realize its going to be a bit heavier then other laptops, for power its the most powerfull laptop on the planet. The Lotus P151HM1 thats being sold there is also a good one, its 15 inch screen selling for 964.00$. Xoticpc is another good reseller, I forgot to say Malibal is a reseller as well. Xotic sell more stuff with Asus and MSI, both which are good brands. My current favorite laptop on the market is the MSI X460DX, its a smaller laptop at 14 inches and weighs just 4 pounds around theres. It would be able to play Skyrim on maximum detail, it costs around 800$ but you can find deals on unopened boxes on ebay and other places for under 700 if you look hard enough. Also I cant suggest gaming laptop without telling you about MSI GT780, its about the only gaming laptop on the market with a keyboard made by steelseries(they make gaming gear) as well as a Matte screen/anti reflective which is unheard of(matte screen means no nasty glare). As you can tell, Im Alienware fan from my signature, I would never suggest to you buy any other gaming brand before taking a look at what started the mobile gaming industry. Every laptop they make currently, with M11x,M14x,M17x,M18x are all beautifull well built machines. You can find coupons a lot of the time for dell, the m18x is pritty new and I would recommend it to any one, its starts at 1990.00$ but you can get it cheaper if you look. A good place to find coupons and such on laptops is slickdeals, a lot of the times if you search you can find a 25% off a brand new system like in this thread, that would cut the cost of a brand new m18x by 500$. These are the kinda deals you want to watch for when buying specifically a gaming laptop. There is no sane reason in paying full price for a gameing laptop currently, aboslutly none at all. I would say its very naive to spend full price at the moment on a gaming laptop. If you look around a bit and consult a few places you can find your self a deal that looks reasonable. At least for the full fledged gaming laptops, the 14 inch laptops I showed you, they are all reasonable priced and your not going to be getting them much cheaper then 600$. When your looking for a gaming laptop you dont want to overspend, its the holy grail of buying a gaming laptop, never over spend. Theres many many other gaming laptops out there in the mobile sector, If you would like to see how some games run on my laptop the Lenovo Ideapad Y460 check out my channel at http://www.youtube.com/notebookplayer. Also I couldnt go without recommending you what I game on, you can get a great Lenovo Ideapad Y470, its 14 inch screen but they make the Y570 if you want a 16 inch, you can get it for around 650.00$, it weights less then 5 pounds and can game Skyrim on max detail. Some others to glance at. PS: If this is your first time buying a laptop, dont be afraid to test the waters with a less expensive14 inch that I posted through out my reply(MSI x460dx, Ideapad Y470,sony ca, asus u46sv). You can sell them for almot the same you payed for them at least get some good chunk of change back if you decide later to upgrade to a full fledged gaming machine. Also these laptops are packed with so many features, most the time they have more in them then an more expensive gaming laptop has which makes them way better bang for the buck. Some gaming laptops perform better for gaming enthusiasts and for the first time buyer they are really useless compared to someone that has been studying them longer. Software wise as well as configuring the machine can be a hard task for new time buyers that wont be able to fully utalize the features an expensive gaming laptop can give and might turn of first time buyers. Theres alot of software to use when you game on a laptop, you want to record temperatures and overclock if your gaming a high performance game like Skyrim. HWmonitor would be something you want for temps as well as a overclocking utility for overclocking your graphics card, I use AMD GPU tools. Theres many other softwares that you want while gaming also, I use fraps and gamebooster to name a few others. Also keeping your machine cool is top priority, you want to make sure there is enough room on the bottom of your laptop to let air in the intake, it will keep your machine from overheating obviously, I use a fan in the room I game in, it keeps temps about 15-25 celsius cooler which is a friggin lot. Laptops often have quirks about them that people get hung up on. Ask questions if you need to at places like techinferno, even notebookreview, there two forums that people go to specifically talk about laptops. PS:Here is a nice HP laptop for 500$, it has a AMD 6750M in it for a graphics card which would run all the new games on maximum detail, its refurbished but it would be a good testing the waters laptop, its on slickdeals atm, its being sold by tiger direct. |
