I think its also all the people thinking they dont even want to try it because they have heard it has low population. It is a vicious circle that leads to very slow or zero growth and as SoE allocates resources to their games based on the subscription numbers, it will never get the money to be developed further or advertised to bring in more people.

nah, not really going crazy at all, just couldnt resist the urge of trying to be a smartass. personally, i dont give a rats ass how you write your english here in the forums, tho it does hurt my eyes a bit every time i see ppl use the very useless "abbreviation" 'of' when they write things like 'should of' instead of should've. i just dont get the point, as you need to type equally many characters in both and phonetically it really doesnt even match that good... but thats my personal problem and its not even that big :-)

Lets get back to topic now, this useless bickering is just that, useless ;-)

There is a text on white/yellowish background on the page in the very middle of the page giving you an overview of the trial, at the end there is a link to a promovideo. Below that link there is a huge button which says "download now". if you are not seeing that, then you must be on the wrong page. The link above takes you to the page where you can download the client,

Yes there is a link, its even in 3 different places on the page. All of them read "Download now"

you need to create an account to be able to log into the world. I am not hundred percent sure whether you need to enter any CC-info before converting the trial into a full account or not, though.

Also make sure you do not have accidantally anti-aliasing activated in the Nvidia control panel. That causes at least for me a screen bug that sounds like the one you are describing.

Isle of Dawn, a.k.a. free trial of VG, should be coming out next weel with GU6. The file will be about 2 Gb in size.

You know guys, its perfectly ok not to like VG as it is. It is also perfectly fine to like it as it is.

OP is in my opinion missing the whole leading idea of VG completely though and therefore I cannot give him credit for writing a "good" review. If he had understood, that VG was always designed keeping the freedom of choice in mind, and critizised that instead of complaining how the game does not hold his hand, my opinion could be different.

As I have come to understand VG has never tried to cater for the masses like WoW. It is and will be a niche game, and the developers acknowledge that.  If VG were to change to please people like OP, it would not stay true to its own slogan: "Set yourself free".

After playing a year and a half.... got to slowly admit it.... I mean REALLY....

yes, i like the game. however that does not mean that you will necessarily like it. The best bet, honestly, is to wait until they get the trial out and then see for yourself. Oh, and its ok if you try AoC in the meantime, you see it will mostl likely come out just before VG gets the trial island out. Vanguard will still be here, its not going anywhere

Just checked my folder, its 18,8 gb, don't know how you get to the 26 gb . Though regardless, it is quite big. Then again, AoC atm is close to 30 gb.
