not to beat a thread already beaten in to submission but... i dont know about the rest of the old time mmo/gamers but i find it damn funny when every mmo/ game that allows player created guild/group glifs on their toons ALWAYS bring up "what if i use X sign" as an attempt to bash said game or ingame option lolol

most games i have played that have allowed player created glifs ingame generally have some sort of monitoring device/staff so very rarely does offencive items get on the server.

BUT its still funny to watch people try to use it for argumenitive discussion lmao

no offence but no one can hold your hand and tell you which game YOU should play, thats your choice and entirely up to you to decide.

check the videos on youtube (lots of them) read views and opinons posted by people (tho take them with salt..) and decide if you want to pay the money for DFo..

many people hate the game because of the way its managed others hate it for being ganked while playing.

ofcourse lots hate the fanboys who spammed every thread about it... so its really a hate vs hate group mentality when it comes to forum posts here and on DFo. (which is where the salt comes in, use statements as a foundation to make your choice not as a 100% reason to do A or B)

ultimately there are great games out there you just have to figure out what you want and what game comes close to some or all of your desires. (kind of like dating i guess... only without booze.. dinner.. or movies O_o...)

i havent had much oppertunity to talk to high 20 lvl players who get the tigers and bummbards but from what i understand they dont own anything :/ alot of the russian tanks in blitz tho following some historical information tend to dominate german armor which at the time was noted for being godly.

the high level armor tends to be more balanced in power/defence tho from what i remember from Blitz global and current version specs, but as i havent reached lv 20 i cant honestly say how effective it is vs its equal paring.

game has a huge learning curve tho, and forget about getting any sort of joy from killing tanks in the mid levels.

a sherman tank will rip a muser, and panzer 3 to ribbions before either can even get in range to shoot it.

word of warning tho.. game hates windows 7... my game i had to mute as the sound went garbled as well its only max res is standard 1024 screens (so wide LCDs are shafted.. mine is a wide screen on 1680..)

OH for people who are wondering about the patch info. this is taken off their offical site/forums. (like to add having fought 2 vs 1 against a SU 72i i honestly dont think they need to boost it when it turned around and killed both me and the other german player even after we both shelled it to hell and back hitting with 300-400dmg criticals i might add)

well having downloaded the german/euro client and making an account, played until LT rank 9 and lv 7 on the german side i can honestly say this game is just as giant pile of garbage as it was when the asian group hosted the global version.

nov 10th the game goes "gold" if you can call it that, and with the patch they are "narfing" the german tanks on gun reload and speed as well as tweekes to armor and such.

at the same time boosting the russians on damage and other bonuses (have to re-read the patch log for specs)

NOW that sounds all well and good, EXCEPT the game is hugely imbalanced towards russians. from lv 1-7 i have almost never been in a 2 vs 1 for germans (altho russian players claim it on the forums, one might add they are all high levels so perhaps lack of players cause that imbalance) the odd time the germans have more players then russians its do to a number of russians outleveling that map (they have level limits to maps 1-4 for novice 5-7 for skilled ect.) so honestly i wouldnt really call it increased players just players outleveling do to camping spawns ect.
if that total imbalance wasnt enough, the fact that german tanks (which are being narfed) already cant stand toe to toe with russians at lv 1-10 without dying 3 times to 1 russian makes the game highly unplayable, if you ignore the random lag spikes in the game (yes it lags pretty bad some times, where the tanks will zoom though buildings and mountains (both impassible) as well as people hitting your tank while on your screen their shell flew miles behind you gets very tiresome (ofcourse having played global blitz im used to that lame way to die)

the game really isnt fit for anything anymore, its 2.5D (eagle view wanna-be tank sim) there is no anti-cheat (they plan to add one at gold status... tho i fear it will be gamegaurd as that is the cheapest PoS anti-cheat software) so quite a few players are using cheats/exploits/hacks ingame to add to the already screwed up imbalances.

makes one beg the question.. if the admins actually play the game. the forum mods claim they do (but as most mmo forum mods are volunteers its natural for them to play being fanboys of the game they enjoy.. but who really knows about the actual paid staff.. i cant say, experiance in such matters tells me no they don't)

while at times the game does become enjoyable... and the prospect of the old maps being open finally (global had all maps open this version they are adding 3 at gold..plus the few they have now) makes it sound tempting to continue playing.. but frankly unlike the global version where you knew where everyone stood this one... sounds like its flatter then a pancake

there is little point in playing currently where russians generally have a 2 vs 1 advantage in numbers not accounting for the fact from lv 1 russian tanks have higher damage and speed they can soak DPS and just wipe out germans left and right solo (seen it. lived though it) honestly TwoWars plans to sell items for this game such as tanks and xp/hp/dps/ect supplies .. only makes one think this game is a huge failure. (tanks should already be ingame not in an IM seeing as its a tank sim...)

and the imblanaces make it pointless paying for anything. SURE you can pay for a dmg mod for your tank but when your tank takes 2-3 hits from a lv 7 T24 before it dieds is it really worth it? a panzer 3 that requires 9+ hits on a T24 to kill it is surely dead before the russian.. no IM supplies will change that.

IMO this game is just as bad as it was in global worse right now as it seems most if not all of the players do not speak english (total english speakers i ran in to.. 4 ... total germans i fought beside... 20+ non-spoke at all..)

play the game if it sutes your ideal game... hell pay for the junk if you want.. ill toy with it after the patch see just how much lamer they have created the gap.. then leave it for something 30x better..

actually there are a few F2P games that offer afk leveling but not many are full 3d or as quality graphic'ed.

tho one has to wonder, where video games are created to produce enjoyment and fun.. where is the fun and enjoyment of letting your toon level afk while your sleeping?? in most games thats shuned and looked down on its treated on par almost with hacking and using 3rd party macros to do similer actions.
on top of that you wind up not learning the skills to play your character as you didnt level it by hand... all of which makes me wonder whats the point? may as well make a toon max level if you level it afk, im sure i could leave my pc running 24/7 (already do but just sys programs) but honestly whats the point. there is no real enjoyment from it can you honestly sit and boast with your pals or guild mates on your levels if you spent a month leveling from 1-XX by afk?? i mean sure WoW fan boys boast of their leet levels and junk but can sotnw do the same???

personally i would rather level by hand and boast at the fact i go to X level by hand, explored X regions and junk rather then boasting about afk leveling X hours per day :/ owell there are casuals and hard core gamers... but this takes the cake O_O...

WOW im glad i never tried this game now.. i thought about it months ago but never had time... if thats how they are running things lmao it will never dirty my HDD with its filth..

tho personally i find warrock the biggest pos on the planet.. cloned from CS and CtF games and still just as crappy..
i dont think sotnw will survive much longer if thats how they treat the players. from experiance players rarely stay with a game that slaps them for stupid crap lolol

i played this game almost 2-4yrs ago.. then it was asian hosted (singlish) and full of hackers/exploiters...

so the real question is.. is this the same blitz 1941 that was live back then in beta?? or is this a totally brand new provider/host and totally new version (old version was totally content empty and a little boring on some maps)

tho as i recall the tiger/jagdpanther was #$#@$ dominating O_O

well lets not forget the game states your a clone of a clone of a clone.. cloned off like what 100 people O_o so in that regard it is 2156.. as far as i know the only cloning we have done in 1990-2010 is sheep and some minor cells ... as far as i know no one has beenable to clone a full human lolol.

tho bare in mind the game is ment to be trashed so you cant really expect to craft a flying car.. we have to assume those plans got burnt lol

ok try this. might help limit the total number of possible errors.

right click My Computer and click manage tab in that menu.
then click on event viewer. and go though each menu under that tab. and see if windows reports any errors.

any OS errors should popup in red text, might help you isolate the freezing if its system related.

now if its hardware its alot harder to figure out. it could be Ram stick related or even your hdd hard to say. if you have spare pc parts laying around you could try switching out parts and see if it improves it.

i always find doing long distant tech support a pain in the backside cause its so simple to miss a simple wire or screw lol

i'd suggest building your own PC IF you have a general idea on what your doing. alot of motherboards come with installation instructions but if your not sure what your doing its generally unwise to do it by your self (no offence intended just lots of first timers fry their pcs very easy)

the bonus to getting a store built one is extended warrenties so if a part is messed up they can/have to replace it... self built only get the 1 year from factory... so its totally up to you if you want a pre-build or self build

hopefully you can get your system sorted out.

hmm very nice rig :) tho im sure you were also told like i was.. XP doesnt offically support 4+gb of ram ... only vista... does  kind of gay but owell..

still a very nice system.  im sure you get your enjoyment out of it too :)

the best part of the podcast is where the dude arrests the chick and the other guy kills her it was #@$@# funny to watch :P then his last stand/rush at the very end was sweet

APB looks like its gearing up to be a VERY enjoyable game. looking forward to more videos on it, but ofcourse ill remain fenced on it until i actually try it or know someone who has.. too easy to make wicked test server videos on game that sucks horribly..

you really need to grow up you're self. i was not attacking you or you're hardware, i only stated from poking around forums and talking to people, FE may have an issue with nvidia cards (does not matter how many you have if the game has a driver related issue it will effect your card(s) as well)  i know full well about quad cores, the tech i talked to while building it liked to point out that PoV as well, but thankyou for reminding me..
 

again, as i have said. generally it sounds like a hardware issue, so you're best bet is to check the FE offical forums for possible fixes, im sure if other people have the same issue there will be some hotfix for it, if not you have a new cup coaster i guess..

as for my core comment, over clocking a duo doesnt change the cpu just the speed. a core 2 duel is a newer version of duo so it is infact better then a duo occ or not. which is why i said you're better off with a duel over a duo.. but w/e i have tried to help you fix you're computer issue. what you do with that info is you're choice.

umm invisible walls and missing textures are generally PC related, as well i dont really think  your storage or speed of hdd is really important. as they only deal with processing of information and loading speeds.. not really sure why you felt the need to post all the above lol.

i played the alpha of FE which were set to high end requirements so it killed my system, but im pretty sure there are fixes on their forum/website for most graphic related issues as i recall  i heard they had some issues with nvid cards so maybe pop over and check their help section.

tho fyi.. a core 2 duo sucks @$$.... better off with a core 2 duel instead... but to each their own.. im quite happy with my quad core lol

the graphic issue sounds more like system hardware problems.  rubberband is lag based generally. so on that end its more your pc not FE that caused it but for argument sake id say its 50/50.

as for socializing.. meh.. thats sort of died  its rare to even have it in a FPS game let alone a mmo anymore. i wouldnt really fault FE for that tho, as the norm now days everyone wants end game levels so they grind for months. talking on to their guild they tend to snub most new people or just random people around them.

i personally wouldnt let it get to you, if you want to socialize you could try to get other people to join the game with you or keep trying to find people to talk to. generally it works .... most of the time..

@ dstar: actually yes and no, while traditional MMOers care for only RPG/quests and pvp. a FPSer is heavy PVP no RPG and little quests (they want to get in kill a whack load and logout kind of thing) now saying that a new MMO must have elements from all genres is alittle steap and harder on the MMOG IMO. but doable, that being said a new MMO has to have some elements that everyone wants other wise you will only attract a limited number of people.
 

if we were to theorize and break up a WoW server population. you would easily get 50% tradition and the rest a mixed assortment between FPSers and RPGers and such.

now if your new gen game is to attract the maximum number of players (generally what all companies want) they have to appel to all spectrums of players from the diehard PVPer to the diehard quest'er/crafter... RPGer ect... singling out one, is like making a cake with out 1 ingredient. you can still make the cake but it wont be AS good as it could be. ofcourse in no way am i saying a company HAS to set its sights to get everyone. but generally thats the norm for companies (example APB its a questing/PVP/FPS set to attract as many players as possible how it plays out who knows)

@Tdogskal: the only reason WoW has had the success it has recived was do to it creating a game off one of their other popular titles (warcraft) as well as creating the game to work on lower end systems (lots of consle players neglete pcs so they are not as high end generally) which ofcourse opened the door for players to join it who have never played a MMO before. ontop of that they lowered the skill requirement to play it (not ment to sound harsh or anything just general census) anyone is able to pick up WoW and play it. unlike WAR or AoC or FF or DarkFall where you have to know what your doing and have the skills setup in such a way.. ect..

WoW takes most of that work away from the player they just pick their spec and go at it, so in that case WoW did a decent job on their game. i personally dont like WoW as its not my type of Tea... but others do so, good for them. as for WoW's release time.. thats kind of debate-able sure you can argue that there was limited MMOs of the AAA quality around at the time and what not.. but if Blizzard had released Starcraft as a MMO instead it would most likely be just as popular.. simply because Starcraft like Warcraft are both highly popular games in korea alone.. and still equally popular now days in the rest of the world. SO unlike other games coming out which only have that title.. Blizzard has its name and past games to use for attracting players. people go to games they like and companies they know/trust.

unfortunetly if you look back say 10yrs ago (pre-wow)  you would see very few of the insta-failure threads. what we have now days are what i tend to generally call the WoW days.. everyone tends to agree as a game, WoW after awhile has long since lost its luster and fun. but what WoW did that was sorta benifitual was open the MMO gaming area to people who never played MMOs they are the RTS.. RPG... FPSers and such. so for that WoW did a nice thing overall.. the annoying and sad part is... alot of the gamers in MMOs now are mostly WoW players and as such. they want.... need a game to topple WoW so they can worship it like they did WoW... now anyone with an IQ higher then a rock.. will know, to repeat WoW's success is very hard (unless you have the mass budget and time WoW had to develop) as well as kind of foolish.. its like counting chickens before hatching sorta deal.

the draw back is players want their games NOW... if they dont get it NOW its a fail. if they think it looks like WoW ... its fail (companies are stupid in trying to repeat some of WoW's selling points by cloning them :/)  so because of all this... there are threads upon threads of "X game is fail" until either WoW shuts down totally or a game comes out that WoW players can finally say.. "YA that one is on par with WoW" we wont see an end to fail threads. just how the MMO side is going now.

i generally look at videos and reviews of games by players and paid people. as well as look at the game it self it fails on its own merits.. not weither or not it sold a trillion boxed versions or if while playing it, it will walk my dog.. paint my house.. make my bed and make me dinner... (tho all those would really be nice O_O)  games have to stand and fall on their own.. and not by compairing it to WoW... unless its a private server hosting WoW.. or its a new blizzard mmo... called WoW 2... or something ...

BUT ofcourse all this is my own opionon ... to each his own i guess

Hmm,
Lets see, divorce rate at over 50%, that means a %50 percent chance of an expensive court battle unless you get the gold mine and she gets the shaft (figure the odds) not to mention I can turn off the game from making all the noise. Not to mention the emotional turmoil. Ultimately, within a year I’ll ether have a nice toon to play or…a house full of kids, bills up the $&^ and/or turned domestic.

Yeah I tried, but for some reason are the realtek audiodrivers not saving the settings of in what way the mic and the game-sound are mixed. Rumors say it's a problem with some gigabyte motherboards. I found no solution so far. But I'm mostly just mumbling to myself anyway what goes right now through my head. :P

hmm its possible. i use asus boards so i cant really give you any suggestions.. apart from trying to google a hotfix maybe..then again  maybe the sound is getting altered from desktop to fraps? or something.

my sound auto mutes my media setting when i restart/turn my pc on... its quite annoying when i forget ... load a game and cant figure out why i hear nothing... lmao...

so def. check your fraps sound and even windows default sound settings..

OH and if you use skype (as alot of people do now days) it could be altering your settings too.. mine did a few times :/... hope that helps anyway :D

naa dont kick them out.. milk them :P charge them rent ^_^ hell make them pay for net usage (unless they have their own O_O) lmao then you could get extra income for upgrades HAHAHA
