Here are a few changes that I would like to see that I think would make the game better. I like the game, and me and my wife sub...but anything can be improved upon.

Seriously, I would like to see a third faction. Let's call this third faction Neutrals or Free Traders etc. I feel that Smuggler and Bounty Hunter should be moved into this Faction. Then add Creature Handler as a third class. Now that all three Factions have three classess, add a true healer class to all three factions. They can be called something like Imperial Surgeon, Republic Doctor, and Field Medic. Their advance classes could chose specs between HoT, ST heals, or AoE heals.

I also believe that at least one additional planet needs to be added for each level range. This way alts have varying path options for leveling.

I can think of other improvement, to things like companions and alignment, but I think the aboved mentioned would be the best.

I am not sure what all information was stolen, but if my address and phone number were taken then I'll be pissed from that alone. Whether or not they got my credit card info, I still would be pissed. I don't want people I do not know to have my address and cell. I am not a current player of SOE, but there is potential that my info was taken. What do people like us get? All I hear is how active subscribers are being compensated.

It's not good to base your comments on what you have heard. Servers are not empty and there aren't that many hackers! Check it out in open beta, if it is empty and full of hackers, then post a factual comment about the game. It is like you people want to doom the game before it even relaunches. Geez!

I think it is funny how poeple forget that not too long ago a girl that age would marry and start a family, often to men much older than this boy. And yes I said boy, 18 does not make him a man.

I will agree that running away, faking a death, etc, were all wrong and the fault is with both of them. These kids just need some therapy and some punishment, not prison etc.

yeh, not experienceing any problems driving. i had it glitch once and let a player i wasnt up against kill me by running me over, but other than that no problems. my system isnt anything special. i have an amd 3.2 triple core, 8gb mem, and gtx460. I run at medium settings, can go higher but dont. also, my internet is cable with charter at 12meg.

i watched a youtube video where someone was driving and short-cutting a turn and hit an invisible wall, then you see the building pillars appear. i have never experienced this at all.

I don't experience the lag everyone mentions. I live East coast and I chose the East coast server. Very little lag. Are ou sure it isn't lag on your end?

Also, haven't ran into one hacker or cheater yet and the match-making has been fine. I started a new toon with my wife this week (who doesn't play shooters). Got out of the tutuorial and it matched us against a better player with the money for a shotgun etc. But it was two on one. It was a close game, but we won. Other matches like 4v4 etc have been really close to. So it seems to be working as intended.

My wifes only gripe is the character custumization. They limit you to like three peices and can't really make anything good with that, but will probably go premium.

All theres left on my char are the quest itens

She didn't have anything in the bank. And only quest items remained also.

We know she wasn't hacked. We were playing, message comes up about servers going down for 45 minutes for a patch (on a saturday morning...come on Trion, really). We go back in after the servers come back up, just to find a naked and broke character. Mine was fine.

She is pretty upset. We had been leveling with some guild friends. Just reached 22. Now they are 29 and we still 22 because we are not playing until it is fixed. Because I talked with others who had there characters fixed, they do a restore and you lose any progress made back to the rollback. 

We created new characters to pass the time, but are really pissed with the poor support. It took almost 4 days to receive a generic auto-reply saying that they are sorry for the slow support, that they are understaffed blah blah blah, and to reply if we still have a problem. Two days since the reply and still nothing.

Game rocks, support blows.

My passwords are generated radomly so its like impossible to guess without hacking.

I dont use databases, and almost dont navigate the net on my gaming rig...i use the laptop for that...

But who knows... maybe some crazy virus/logger got me...

It may not be a hacked account. My wife has had the same thing happen. All equipment, inventory, and money are gone after a game patch. Several other people on the server had the same thing happen to them. We sent in a support ticket, but it is now the 6th day with no help or response from Trion.

Got back from lunch and had an email waiting saying the accounts were fixed. Awesome!

I would say their email support was fast and helpful.

I hope this helps others if they have a similar issue!

I just got a reply from Turbine. I emailed them Friday, I believe, and they got back to me on Monday. They said they could fix the issue and just asked me a few questions to continue with the solution.

So far I am impressed. I have never had responces that fast and smooth. Usually it taked upwards of a week and I have to re-explain and argue with other companies.

If all goes smooth, I may consider trying DDO again as well. I left their F2P because after leaving the starter isle, most of the quests you run upon are solo only, and I was playing with two other people.

I was going to phone them, but their hours ended before I had the chance and they don't take calls on the weekend according to the site. So I emailed them.

 It sounds like I am in for a tough ride with support, perhaps. Because I would want the quest packs moved from the new sub to the old sub on the same account. The shouldn't make their main page act like you got add a F2P account, and instead just say "simply log into your old account."

But anyway, to the OP, you aren't supposed to do that. You're supposed to use your old subcription.  Because you wouldn't be free, anyway, you'd be premium.

 The new subscriptions each say premium out from them. So it must realize I have the origianl sub also. Just some silly bug in their system I'm sure.

That is what happened. It is very weird.

I think I will do like the previous poster suggested and contact support. I want to use my original subscription, but I purchased the quest packs under the new one.

The same thing happened with my wifes account. She was doing the same thing from home while I was at work. She had more sense than me and only added one free sub and not two. LOL 

When I was looking at their site, the banner on the right said enter login info to add F2P. I did this and nothing happened, so I did it again. Still nothing. So I logged into my account to see 3 subscriptions. My orginal from my purchase, and two F2P.

So I logged into the newest created one. I then bought 3 quest packs with the 75% off sale. Is this going to be on all three subscriptions, because my old characters are on the original subscription. It isn't a huge deal, I can always roll new toons on the other account. They all say premium.

Why did turbine make it so you could add so many F2P, I just assumed it would have converted my old account. A person should only need one subscription. What will happen if I buy Moria, what will it add to. Weird!

I hate any game that has necromancers because every idiot dev makes them unfairly overpowered.

I hate all SOE games due to them screwing the warrior class and giving tanking abilities to SK and Paladins and allow them to solo but not warriors.

I am playing LoTR next as they don't have any fricken casters like Casterquest,, another P.O.S. Brad designed.

Can you name a game that has a Paladin or Shadow Knight class that is not a tank? I can't think of any.

Also, though I can not say from personal experience, I have heard every class can solo in Vanguard, but that some are better at it than others. Actually, I would guess that the same could be said for every MMO in existance. I know I haven't found a class in any MMO I have ever played that I could not solo. Now if you mean solo as in solo every bit of content, then I would also say that no MMO has this as well.

This game is not a PVP game, so what does it matter if the Necromancer beside you is more powerful, he isn't attacking you.

As for Brad's vision, I can only say that in my opinion, I have never seen a world created better than Everquest or Vanguard. The only two worlds that come close in my opinion are Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft. But I will admit that I haven't spent much time in Lord of the Rings Online. I just never got pulled in during that  first month after purchase. I will explore it again as a free-to-play though.

 Oh, I have used it several times for questions. Just a little picky and wish it was called OOC or something instead of Thestra for example. That way it stood out more as help questions or general talk. I miss a lot of stuff because everyone use the main channel for everything.

 Since I play with my wife I am not alone. And since we are always returning to a quest hub ever so often, we always see people. Also, at some of the main dungeons, there is usually always someone there. So it doesn't feel empty to me. Now out in the middle of the landscape somewhere, yeah you feel like you are the only one there, but the world is huge so it makes sense. If I go into the woods behind my house, no one is there either, and it feels like I'm all alone.

I do like the responses that I am getting from this thread. It seems that most people don't mind a smaller population, as long as there are some people to do things with.

To me, Vanguard is just one of those games where I don't want a "who" feature, or even a group finding feaature. I feel so immersed, that I want to only group with people I run across. Kind of how it would be if I were really in that world. I would even say get rid of world chat, but I see its benefit for OOC questions and advice. I think there should be another channel for it though. Again just my opinion. I personally like where the population is at presently.
