It all depends on the delivery. If AoC has a smooth launch and regular updates, it will be a smashing success. It will have longevity if it listens to it's subscribers. |

Yeah, well my Gamestop is wrought with dumbassedness. They have no idea what I am talking about. They keep saying beta will be emailed to me. Funny how they don't have my email address. |

I am kind of curious as how the PVP wil work. On a PVP server can a 80 gank a 20? Will I get ganked standing at the auction house? What are the specific rules? ANd will the Rules on PVP-RP be a little more strict. I like PVP, don't get me wrong. I like the way AO did it. I also like the way SWG did it. I like Factional PVP the best. |

The reason I asked is because I usually play with a friend and his wife. They have a young child who sits on her daddy's lap while he plays, the animated violence is ok, but the gore is too much. I apologize for creating a heated debate of why someone would be so brash as to want to play a mature game, but take out the mature content out. |

Someone asked me and I don't know. Will there be a way to tone down the gore? Heads rolling is one thing, heads rolling spewing blood and grey matter is another. |

I can't believe this hasn't made the news thread. I know there are other threads about this, but I was hoping to catch a Mods attention so they could put it on the news thread. http://vanguardvault.ign.com/fullstory.php?id=36265
Breaking news from SOE's Podcast! SOE will be re-activating all Vanguard accounts for FREE play from December 18th to January 3rd. If you've cancelled your account, make sure to load Vanguard up and give it another try for free! This is not the free trials, but it's for players that had a Vanguard account. Vanguard just released its first premier raid dungeon with over 18 bosses, as well as two raid world bosses. There is also holiday decorations everywhere, with mountable flying reindeers and housing decorations that's available to everyone. It is a great time to come back to the game! Performance has also been greatly improved! |

My ranger is only 22, but it is still a lot of fun. I hit real hard with the arrows that I make from foraging, but I only get 3 shots max before the monster is on me. Then my dual swords take them down pretty fast. If not, then I root them (if it works) back up, heal and go at it again. I'm having a lot of fun, but I am anxious to see what this next patch brings. |

I've been back for 3 weeks or so and absolutely love it. Yeah, it's got bugs, but they are not game breaking like they were early on. Welcome back....bring some friends. |

I returned a short while ago and am having a really good time. It is vastly better than before.
I don't usually play the cloth wearing classes, but the bloodmage is pretty fun. She is in a brotherhood with two other people which is interesting. I will play solo for a whole day and not seem to get anywhere XP wise, then I will log in and gain a level or two from my friends playing together. Either way, welcome back to Vanguard. |

Yes, there is a lot of role playing, and the tools are there to facilitate the role playing. Landroval seems to be the most populated server. There are several heavy RP guilds. |

People who like it are playing it and loving it. I have to say it's my favorite game I've played. And I've played a lot. |

WOW has helped all MMO's IMO. People cut their teeth on it, then seek a game with a little more depth. |

If you want PvP then try Nagafen, if not Antonia Bayle(RP) is a nicely populated server. I don't really think it will matter which server you choose except the style you want (i.e. RP, PvP, PvP/RP, Exchange,...) |

That is correct. The Fae are good only and cannot betray. |

Vanguard will be good, as is EQ2. Since they are on the Station Access, I'll play both. |

I think the Farscape world or even Joss Whedon's Firefly/Serenity world would be interesting for an MMO. While both are Sci-Fi, either are very rich universes. An even wilder idea might be the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, or Doctor Who. |
