I love the WoW haters... I guess it makes you cool to hate on the popular. Sure the type of PvP assraping you get from a darkfall concept works if you are a PKer harkening back to the ol Diablo "CHEAT TO WIN" mentallity alienating any and all potential new players unless they have a group of friends dedicated to KPKers. Just so they can live long enough to be competitve. Ya oh your so right Blizzard totally screwed the pooch with WoW, ya they really made a crappy game, only the largest MMO so far... I am sure they read your messages and weep then wipe their tears with $100 bills.

Soooo.... apparently if your game is aimed at the younger set, your graphics and interface can suck. Makes no sense kids should get just as good a game as nerds... how else do you expect to convert the little lambs.

I see a monk as more of a combo rogue/priest... look at the monks of the scarlet monastary. Quick unarmed attacks, and unarmed attack bonuses, a class that specializes in the use of fist weapons maybe. Stun attacks, self purging and healing, high dodge and block abilities would be a cloth wearing close combat dps'er, maybe to add something different, have ability to do different holds which remove the monk from combat but give holds different abilities like a channeled sleeper hold, a DoT clutch hold almost like a living root spell... I dunno, I think it could be interesting. |

Well I noticed that when EQ introduced the ability to Dye your armor that people seemed to look even more the same, so many people dying their armors the same colors. I guess everyone looks good in black. Still I would love to be able to dye armor in wow, maybe even give the ability to a profession that already uses dyes, like you have to go to a tailor for them to dye your armor. |

I like your ideas for new classes. I would like to see a mind controlling class, sort of a counter balance to hunters, where the mind controller would be able to make humanoids their pets. Priests can do this in a very limited capacity. I would like to see something close to the old EQ enchanters, mana buffs and drains, mind control and illusion masks so they can infiltrate the other races. I would love it to if they had a spell allowing them to understand the other factions language. It would add a cool layer to the game to be able to have spies infiltrating the other factions.

absolutely you can make a new character, non expansion and still have plenty of folks to play with, even with the hip new races being all the rage, the old races are still being rolled. And once the new folks who cam on board with the expansion play their Draenai and BEs for a while they will probably roll some of the old races. That and the fact that 20+ is back to the old world for shared content will mean you should have no lack of company.

I like the new content for 60+, I haven't done a whole lot yet, because I made my new main a BE Paladin. The BE area is wonderful and so many quests my quest log is always at least half full. 2 solutions for you: 1. Just ask your friend what the info is; or 2. buy another copy of the game, the original has lowered it's price to $20, and even less some places. Oh wait 3rd solution if you are to cheap to do the 2nd would be to wait and presumably a year from now they will package the game and expansion together and sell it for around $20-$30.

I love WoW haters and their bull***t. Look there should be a lot of articles about WoW... it is popular and a majority choice so STFU and don't read it if you don't want to, but the 7 million+ of us that play WoW might want to read even more articles on our chosen pass time. It would sort of be like Sports Illustrated covering lawn bowling over covering the NFL. The more people involved and interested the more coverage you get.

2d or 3d doesn't matter... crap is crap. Also, yes game play is important, but graphics are to, I don't want to play Pac-Man the mmorpg, no matter how good the game play is.
FFXI: about 6 months: BORING, I was so excited to get this I bought the useless HD for my PS2 and all. The set up and logging in is ridiculous and then you start playing and realize there are only 4 monsters in the game. I also got tired of the fact that you have all these choices for you multiclassing but unless you play the optimal choice other players treat you like crap.
EQ: Online Adventures: about 2 years: LOVED this game, unfortunately not enough other people did, the community got stale not the game, more people should have given this one a try, it was vastly improved with Frontiers. Gave it up for FFXI... still crying about that decision.
EQ: The original: about 2 years: I liked it, even though it was a pain in the ass. gave it up because I couldn't afford a new computer everytime they put out an expansion, eventually I was on minimul settings and then EQ:OA came out for PS2 and I said screw this and went to that. 
DAOC: about 15 minutes on a friends account: I thought it was barftastic, horrible graphics and game play
D&D online: about 15 minutes: YIKES how they can call this monstrosity D&D is beyond me, I hate forced grouping and I hate robots!
WoW: about 1.5 years and still playing: Say what you want about WoW but it really is the best thing out there.| 1 Page | 1 |
