They all want rugged men with 5 o'clock shadows who reek of manliness, swing a mean ax and wear red flannel shirts.

"so I says Supercollider? I don't even know her!" Anyways, I can hope that perhaps with the LHC we will make advances toward harvesting energy from the air we breathe or from some other source derived from the experiments performed. |

I remember losing my first couple of teeth when I was a kid. They usually got caught in the gum I was chewing or in the crust of the home made bread my grandma would bake. The others I just couldn't stop picking at until I wiggled them loose so completely they just fell out. |

I find the game to be like that of Diablo 2 with different graphics and different mechanics when it comes to skills and whatnot. You get skill trees like in Diablo and you then put them in the respective slots so that you can use them in combat. The graphics are somewhat more realistic, not as dark and gloomy, but other then that there's nothing really extraordinary to say. I've played it for about a week with a few buddies, yes it does have multiplayer support and no you don't need a group to play it. Think of it again as Diablo 2. You either make a game or join one and go about the busyness of slaughtering whatever happens to dislike you. You have "way points" that let you port around, as well as various levels of loot from the common to the rare to the unique. All of us lost interest in it and we just kind of stopped playing. If you want give it a try because in the end I don't know what your tastes are like and only you can make the call. |

I should give that dude a call, by the phone numbers it seems like he lives not too far from here... wouldn't even count as long distance. Might take the girl for a test drive |

I doubt that. In that case it would make it tiny. The way I hear it is that the size of WAR equates to the original WoW + half of the expansion. |

DAoC had open style PVP servers and it worked fine for the people that played there. It gave them something else to do besides the regular servers and ensured that Mythic would get the revenue from those people who played on the servers. It's all about having a choice. The fact that there are people willing to play on 1 or 2 servers that you won't be playing on will not impact your game play what so ever. |

Just to play devils advocate for a bit and continue the conversation I offer this argument: You do not have to put a man on the moon to put other objects on it. We've landed rovers on Mars. /discus |

A while back I got to look at all the old roasts that Dean Martin used to do way back when and I thought it a great idea. It provided me with tons of entertainment and showed me what kind of sense of humor some people had and it got me thinking of why nobody does them anymore. That was until the roasted Hugh Heffner and then lately they did it to Bob Saget, and it was great. I for one think they should bring it back and make it at least a biannual event. There's plenty of people in Hollywood they could rip on. |

I think keeping the LHC online is a good thing. Consider mankind and its evolution and all the steps we took to get where we are. If all we focus on is the negative aspects of all the decisions we make then we will never advance as a species toward better things and will be stuck living in this time with the limited technology we have today. Think of the Wright brothers when they decided that they wanted to fly like birds. I bet there were people telling them that no good can come of this and that people will die when their "infernal contraption" lifts them hundreds of feet into the air. Or how about Tesla and Edison? When they were tinkering with electricity and made their findings public I bet you there were people yelling and screaming, talking about death rays new ways to kill mankind. If it truly is a small chance of things going wrong then I say get on it. Without risk there is no reward. Someone is going to do this kind of research sooner or later and I for one would like to see some major life enhancing discoveries in my lifetime that would perhaps affect me personally. |

In real life yes. I've gone to work and all day nothing would go my way. Things that I've been doing for 2 years straight all of a sudden didn't make sense, or I was just thinking backwards. When it comes to games, I can't say it did since I was never in a group like that to really matter. Most of the time I'm out in the wilderness somewhere with one or two buddies and neither of us are playing seriously enough to screw anything up. If it ever seems like shit is going to go wrong or it's just not my day I turn the game off and go outside or some crap. |

Happy Birthday. I'm not sure what the drinking age is south of the border in Mexico. Here in Canada it's 19. For me, it was most fun when I was below 19 trying to get into bars where I was not supposed to be. Once I got past 19 all the fun went away. For me it was never really about alcohol. |
