i am playing archlord now and again too not too shabby for a free game either that . i personally cant see tb being anywhere near ready by november 2 nd . i ve now seen it being played on three average pcs (all puchased in the last 12 months )through three different broadband connections (the kind most of us have ) ie dual core pentium. 1 -2 gig memory ok nvidea or radeon graphics card etc and in all cases tabula rasa does nt run smoothly as i would expect as yet . these are all pcs that run the likes warcraft , dungeons and dragons stormreach and lord of the rings online well . i m hoping for tabula rasas sake it really is just down to it being in its beta phase and not that it ll only run well on higher spec machines because it really needs to play well on the average mid range pc to get a half decent user base and be a success . i d be interested to hear how other people with mid ranged pcs purchased within the last year are finding it ? |

i agree . i would nt buy it but in a year or so if theres a free trial i ll give it another go to see how its improved . i like some of what i ve seen .i gather from reading articles on the net theres been a lot of problems in the games development . i wish it well but at present its not for me . |

on a side issue. funny how the word Vanguard now seams to be synonymous with everything that opitamises a bad mmorpg now . tabula rasa wont be as bad as vanguard but it wont be a massive success either ,more a minor success something on a par with dungeons and dragons . as much as i d like to say otherwise , i ve thus far seen nothing in this game that ll attract people away from world of warcraft or any current other game world they are happily emersed in . in some ways vanguards been good for the mmorpg market more as a cautionary tale . i doubt if anyone will release as unfinnished a game again . anyway i m off to play more tabula rasa . i m enjoying it as a freebie , it makes a change . |

i m not quite sure what you mean by decent pc . mine i would say is a mid range pc which was puchased 8 months ago . admitidly not exactly a games pc but it runs most new games pretty smoothly with a little tweaking here and there (essentially similar to what the majority of the public have). i m finding that tabula rasas graphics seam to be very freeze a lot and can be jerky at times . i have tried it on a slighly older ( but more powerful pc as well with the same results ) . i imagine given its an open beta perhaps the problems i m experiancing could be due to its unfinnished status ? after playing for five days i m finding the gameplay a little too repedative for me . i would nt say its as bad as vanguard but in its current state i think it needs a lot of work before its ready for release . even if i could run it smoothly i dont think i would buy it . it just seams a bit limited for a mmorpg ( more so than vanguard ). |

i m just trying the tabula rasa beta . its been an ok experiance thus far but it has nt really grabbed me to the point i would actually buy it . i m not sure if its the pc i m playing on ( its an average mid range model and plays most new games even if a bit of tweaking of the graphics is sometimes needed ) i m finding that the graphics arnt paticulary smooth on this as opposed to say lord of the rings or warcraft . perhaps this an issue with it being in beta testing ? (i m going to try it on my higher spec pc at home when i get back )after initial dislike of the interface i ve kind ve gotten used to it but i would have prefered something closer to what i ve been used to from previous mmorpgs . at present i dont think its a terrible game but i m not suprise its release date has been pushed back . |

well i ve just given up warcraft after a few months at level 60 for 3 main reasons 1 . the server i was on had a mirgration and know one suspected for a minuite that this would not be capped and those who stayed ended up on a low server . this basically kills ingame ecconmoics which at level 60 is important .if you find it hard to sell rare and epic drops whats the point . 2.blizzard introduced new rouge talents which essentially made the class superpowered compared to other classes which made pvp redundant . 3.i complained about gold farmers i saw in the game along with a lot of fellow guild members over a number of months .these farmers tend to be in one place almost 24/7 . to this point very little seams to have been done about it . which brings the poor state of customer support to light .these gold farmers are aggressivly taking over whole areas of the game in pvp servers. in general i d say its been fun . but blizzard seam to make poor in game management decisions and quite frankly thier customer support is literally non existant . quite frankly when something comparable comes out theres a hell of a lot of players who are looking to jump ship . |
