[Column] The Secret World: A Year Later
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/15/13 6:39:02 PM
I'd agree, I had lots of fun with the bosses but the minor flaws that you mentioned are unbearable to me. I tried getting back into the game a month ago or so and lost intrest after an hour or so.

It's pretty much p2w, but actually quite fun. And if you have a bunch of friends to play with you'll probably outplay the p2w people. It's worth checking out, I mostly stopped playing because the game was fuck all broken for my friend. |

[Review] Defiance: Can Fun Overcome Mediocrity?
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/07/13 3:12:50 PM
The game can be fun but the PvP balance is the worst shit I've ever seen. If you want a game where everyone runs around cloaked with 2 shotting shotguns then maybe you'll enjoy the PvP, otherwise run away.

What Developer names make you NOT buy/play a game?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/28/13 12:07:45 PM
Everyone working at EA, I mean every single person related to that abomination. That includes Bioware etc and all the insects residing within.

Im pissed when i saw the gameplay of leaked beta footage from PAX.

Originally posted by Heretique That's major bullshit, the test client does not represent the full game. You don't put out a massive client just to test specific things. Or do you happend to know what their focus tests are focusing on? Exactly. The beta client is nowhere near the full game, every beta can look like shit and a week before release the update everything from graphics to animation to sound assest to fonts etc. Unless you have proof of how they are working, I suggest you wait before making your judement. |

Poll: If ESO costs $15/month, will you play it?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 4/13/13 7:32:40 PM
Yes - I will preorder or buy on release day and hope to get atleast 30 hours out of it, assuming I have nothing else I want to play at the time.

I have not seen more warning on a site then all the warning Defiance has why?
General Discussion « Defiance 4/11/13 12:36:41 AM
The game is really sloppy overall, and stupidly obscure when it really doesn't have to. Contracts come to mind, like they are trying to encourage exploration but all they are adding to is a bunch of tedium where I constantly have to tab out and google shit. Atleast mark out point of intrest or something, the map is horrible. It's kind of like the old journal in Morrowind, I don't need a fucking arrow pointing the way but atleast give me a good description of what I'm supposed to do. Then there was the crap with the raider masks, 90% of all raiders wear gas mask but only one type counts for progress. Other than that I'm actually enjoying the game, more fun than not tbh. |

Will this game be as good as WoW (vanilla)? ie the game that brought the demise of DAoC
General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/10/13 3:52:17 PM
Most of the people I played WoW with had never played an MMO before and everyone was loving the shit out of Tarren Mill while I personally felt like I was participating in some form of paralympic hand-ball match at which point I asked my self wheter my friends were retarded or something. No incentive what-so-ever, just back and forth zerging. DAoC remains the king of PvP, if Camelot Unchained can live up to that then I'm all for it. Camelot Unchained will be PvP and crafting only for the record. |
|
|
I like most of the things I've seen and heard, I suppose the only thing that annoyed me was some of the character models (which for the record aren't final anyways) like the Orcs, they looked too WoWish with overdimensioned shoulders and not at all the more down to earth kind of Orcs I'm used to from Tamriel.

To answer 1. and 2. There is already money in the project, it will happen wheter or not it gets kickstarted or not. But if it gets kickstarted there is 2 million dollars more for them to improve the game with, if people are intrested enough and want to see that happen, why not? So MJ will basically put more money into it wheter on not it gets kickstarted. The rest... Well we'll just have to wait and see. I doubt they'll just cancel the project and run away, I'd even assume that's illegal. |

This would be much better with 2 major factions

General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 4/09/13 1:38:30 PM
Did you really play DAoC? The little guy usually waited for the right moment while the middle faction was thinning out the Zerg and then the underdogs came in for the clean up. That happend alot. There is a very big problems in MMO's today and that's the whole balance whine, MMO's shouldn't be over-balanced, WoW was to the point where it bored me to tears. And 2 factions has even less chance of being balanced considering population. |

A few questions to current players of Defiance.

Haven't had a single game breaking problem so far.

Why do they have race limited factions?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 4/02/13 9:24:16 PM
If you people would just learn to understand that this is a spin off taking place 1000 or years before the Elder Scrolls you know, then you too would be able to deal with it. I wanted to play as an Imperial, can I? No, because they are the antagonists sort of seeing as how their emperor has sided with Mannimarco who in turn has struck a deal with Molag Bal. The only thing you should take for granted is that TESO takes place in Tamriel. The rest of it is a whole different game, although I hear it's got a pretty good TES feel to it. |

There are no raids... can you live with that?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 3/22/13 11:04:27 AM
I've never played a single raid in my life that I truly enjoyed so yes I can live without it. I'd prefer not having to find a massive band of angry social misfits in order to enjoy the game thankyouverymuch.

The Elder Scrolls is still The Elder Scrolls, nothing is being turned into anything. It's a spin off on The Elder Scrolls series called Elder Scrolls Online, mixing parts of the Elder Scrolls series aswell as it's lore with an MMO focused on exploration and Realm vs Realm. And I'm excited to see how it all works out. |

EA is really outdoing themselves!
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/27/13 4:53:10 PM
I hate EA with a passion, but blame the cows being run in the farm. "And consumers are enjoying and embracing that way of business." [mod edit] |
